Chapter 13: Stuck On A Island

Location: Desert Island

Kazoki facepalmed in annoyance. "Damn it...this is exactly what we need."

The last thing the Snarky Human expected is to be stuck on a Island with the Inversed Spirit. Especially not after playing in the Beach.

This showed that he was right by not wanting to come along.

"How it is possible that we ended up here?" Tenka wondered, looking around annoyed. "This wave shouldn't be this strong."

"A big mystery." Kazoki shrugged. "Right now, we have to go back to the others as soon as possible."

"Hum! Leave it to me!" Tenka exclaimed proudly. "I'm going to bring us back toward them in no time."

"...You don't know which way to go, don't you?" Kazoki deadpanned.

"...Shut up." Tenka growled.

"I take that as a yes." Kazoki shrugged.

"It's not the problem, fool!" Tenka replied irritated. "I can't sense any of them!"

Kazoki looked at her with confusion. "What do you mean by that?"

Tenka averted her eyes to look at the beach. "As you know, the Spirits have the ability to sense the Reiryoku of the others Spirits-"

"You never told me this." Kazoki interruped.

"...Well, now you know." Tenka replied, annoyed at being interruped. "However...for some reason, i can't sense Tohka and the others. It's almost...like something is blocking me."

"An disconnection?" Kazoki muttered to himself, rubbing his hand on his chin. "That shouldn't be possible."

"Technicaly, no." Tenka replied. "The only way to be unable to sense the Spirits is that they either became Humans or...die."

Kazoki and Tenka suddenly remembered the explosion from earlier. They both turned toward each other concerned. Did something happened while they were gone? If so, what?

"Whatever happened, we won't find out by staying here." Tenka said seriously.

Tenka prepare herself and...stay still. Kazoki look at her confused. Tenka look down and try to fly...but fall down on her face. "OW!"

Kazoki blinked twice before he helped up Tenka. "What's wrong?"

Tenka rubbed her nose irritated. "I don't know! It's just...i can't fly anymore!"

"...What?" Kazoki exclaimed surprised.

"It's true!" Tenka said. "For some unknown reason, i can't get off the ground. Its almost like something is keeping me on the ground!"

Kazoki cocked his head. Now that was really strange. Why isn't Tenka's power not working? If he didn't know any better, he would think that this Island is cursed...

Wait a minute...

"What if it was this Island?" Kazoki said aloud, making the Inversed Spirit turn toward him.

"What are you talking about?" Tenka asked.

"It's just a theory, but...what if it's the Island the responsable of this?" Kazoki commented.

Tenka frowned. "This is ridiculous. What does this Island have to do with this?"

Kazoki crossed his arms. "Back home, i saw several Tv Show in which there was people living the same situation as us right now. They were stranded on a mysterious Island and something was keeping them against their will."

"...This is stupid." Tenka scoffed. "You're once again mistooking fiction and reality. There is no way that something like that is possible."

"Say the girl who can literaly shook the world just be coming here!" Kazoki snapped, making Tenka surprise. "Beside, given everything you saw and do until now, do you truly believe that this theory is unlikely?"

"..." Tenka opened her mouth to answer...but closed it after realising that Kazoki has a point, much to her dismay. "Fine then! What are we supposed to do then? Searching the source of whatever block my power?"

"Unless you have a better idea, then yes." Kazoki nodded before looking toward the Jungle. "Given that we're going to be here for a while, might as well doing something in the meantime."

Kazoki walk up toward the Jungle and enter inside of it. Tenka follow him. "Hold on!"

Location: Jungle

Kazoki and Tenka walk up inside the Jungle and see something weird. There was building in front of them.

A bar, a cabine, a restaurant, and a Hotel made of bamboo.

"...Is that normal?" Tenka pointed at them.

"No...it's not." Kazoki frowned. "Someone must being living here."

But if that is the case, then who?

"You two?!"

Surprised, Kazoki and Tenka turn around to see a unexpected face...or rather two.

"Yuki?! Kazuya?!" Kazoki called out surprised.

In front of them is one of the couple that they meet yesterday and see this morning. But in a swimming clotchings instead.

Kazuya wear a black swimming trunk, letting everyone see his toned body.

Yuki wear a black bikini that showed her curvy body.

"Kazoki and Tenka, what are the odds!" Kazuya exclaimed, stunned to see the people he meet recently. "What are you two doing here?"

"We've being dragged by a wave and now we're stuck here." Kazoki explained. "What about you two? Why are you here?"

"This place is our private Island." Yuki replied.

"...What?" Tenka replied confused.

"Sometime, when people go to vacation, they rent a place for themself." Kazuya explained. "It's pratical when people don't want to pay upon arriving."

Tenka turned toward Kazoki. "Why didn't you tell me about it? Come to think of it, why didn't we do this sooner?"

Kazoki frowned. "Because only rich people can do it...are you two rich?"

"Us? No." Yuki shook her head before smiling. "But it was mostly thanks to Miki that it was possible! She's a perfect model!"

"Miki?" Kazoki blinked before he realised. "Oh, i'm guessing that it's one of your friends that was with you earlier."

"Correct." Kazuya comfirmed. "She buy us this place so that we can spend some time together...unless we want to go to the beach."

"Oh yeah, that remind me, why didn't we see you earlier? You told us that you were going swim." Kazoki reminded.

"That's true." Kazuya nodded. "However, we decided to goes to this place first. To make sure that it's to our liking."

"Oh."

Tenka look around, searching for something. Kazoki noticed it. "What's wrong?"

"...Where are the others?" Tenka asked.

"They are passing time or playing on the private beach" Yuki replied. "Wanna go see them?"

Kazoki and Tenka shared a glance before turning back toward them and nodded. Kazuya smiled. "Okay! Let's get going!"

And so, Kazoki, Tenka, Kazuya, and Yuki walk to the side to look for the rest...unaware that a shadow was watching them.

Later...

The four of them arrived to where the rest are. Eight people were standing in front of them: Misaro, Hyoki, Hoshi, Miki, Kimato, Reki, Takumi, and Maki.

Hyoki is reading a book on a chair. She's wearing a black shirt and red short.

Misaro is building a sandcastle. He's wearing a green swimming trunk.

Kimato is swimming with Reki in the beach. The former wear a red swimming trunk and the latter wear a black bikini.

Takumi and Maki played to the ball together. The former wear a yellow swimming trunk and the latter wear a red bikini.

Hoshi and Miki are on a chair, with the girl hugging him. The former wear a black swimming trunk and the latter wear a black bikini. Then, Miki get on top of Hoshi and...pounced on him, before the two of them made out.

"What is she doing?" Tenka frowned in confusion.

"Sorry about them." Kazuya apologize. "Sometime, they have a hard time to control themself when it came to the two of them."

"We can see that." Kazoki said with a annoyed expression on his face.

Yuki blushed. Even after all those time, she still hasn't got used to it.

Hyoki suddenly feel someone watching them. Looking up, she saw two familiar face. "Kazoki? Tenka?"

That caught the attention of the rest. Hoshi and Miki stopped making out and look up. Kimato and Reki came out the water. Takumi and Maki stopped playing.

"Hey!" Yuki waved her hand. "Look who came here!"

The Senki-Shu and their boyfriend walk up toward them. They studied the duo next to their friends.

"We didn't expect to see the two of you here." Reki noted.

"Same for us." Kazoki replied, still finding strange to see them.

"How did you two get here?" Takumi asked.

"We were playing on the beach when a strange wave hit us out of nowhere." Kazoki frowned, still bitter about the wave. "And the next thing we know, we find ourself here."

"Woah...now that's a crazy adventure." Kimato commented.

"More like a nuissance." Tenka frowned. She then looked at the group. "You all seem to be enjoying yourself."

"And it's all thanks to Miki who rented this cabine!" Yuki smiled.

Miki lost her smile and became confused. "...I'm sorry, but what are you talking about?"

Yuki blinked in confusion. "What? But you told me that you rent this place!"

"...I'm sorry, but i don't remember telling you this." Miki shook her head.

That confused the rest, especially Kazoki and Tenka who didn't understand what's happening.

"What?! But you told me this when-" Yuki started before stopping...and turned toward Hyoki. "Hey, when did we arrived on this Island?"

Hyoki open her mouth...before closing it. "I...don't remember."

"What are you talking about?" Kazoki rosed a eyebrow. "Do you guys have amnesia or something?"

"Amnesia?" Misaro muttered before he started to think about this morning...with no result. "AH!"

Many were startled by the shout.

"What's wrong?" Takumi asked, wondering why his friend shouted.

"I can't remember anything about yesterday!" Misaro replied, much to their shock.

"Me neither!" Yuki exclaimed, confusing them more. "It's almost like there is something blocking me!"

"Blocking..." Tenka muttered with a frown. It's almost like her when she was trying to fly.

It seem that Kazoki was right...something is wrong with this Island.

A explosion was hear, shocking them.

"What was that?!" Misaro look around shocked.

"Again?!" Kazoki screamed annoyed.

"Again? You mean that there was another explosion before?" Hyoki questioned confused.

"No time to explain!" Kazoki replied. "We need to find out where it came from."

Maki turn around and spotted something. "I think that i found it."

Confused, everyone turned toward Maki who pointed ahead. They look up and see...a volcano.

"A Volcano?" Takumi blinked. "Was it here earlier?"

"I don't think so." Reki put a finger on her chin. "Nonetheless, it seem strange that there is a explosion out of nowhere..."

"Maybe the Volcano is activated?" Hoshi guessed.

"No...otherwise, there would be a eruption." Hyoki frowned. "And lucky for us, there wasn't."

"How about we go there?" Kazoki proposed, shocking the others.

"What?!" Kazuya exclaimed.

"Let's be honest, we're going to be stuck here for a while. And i don't know about you, but i don't want to pass the night on this Island." Kazoki replied. "Beside, i don't think that whatever is causing those explosion should be ignored."

"...It's true." Hyoki nodded. "Those explosion are certainly not natural. We must investigate."

Misaro, Yuki, Kazuya, Maki, Takumi, Miki, Hoshi, Reki, and Kimato shared a glance, thinking about it. Then, they look back at Hyoki.

"Well...it's being a while since the ten of us has gone to an Adventure, so...count me in!" Kazuya smiled.

Misaro ruffled Hyoki's hair. "Everywhere you go, i'll go."

"You already know our answer." Yuki smiled.

The rest of the Senki-Shu and their boyfriend nodded in agreement. Hyoki smiled before turning toward Kazoki. "We'll be going ahead to see if it safe."

Hyoki and the rest walk up in the direction of the Volcano. Kazoki watched them leave before turning toward Tenka. "What about you? Wanna come as well?"

Tenka stared at him before sighing. "Like you said, we're going to be stuck here, so i don't have much of a choice...also, i'm also curious about what is causing those explosion."

Kazoki give a thumb up. "Then let's do this."

Tenka nodded before walking up with Kazoki to join the others.

Sorry for the lack of Update, but the past week hasn't  being really kind. Between real life issue and writter block. First, i had a meeting with the Notary about my father who passed away last year, then i was tasked to find a job, then got in a argument with my mother about a dumb thing, which got me emotional...so yeah, i wasn't really motivated. But no worries, i'm back. This Chapter might be short, but the next one will be longer.

Also, since i'm here, i would like to talk about something.

Have you noticed that many of Date A Live Story are copied from each others? And i'm not talking about the Date A Live Retelling. I mean that there are ACTUALLY copied. Once, i saw a Story about a Depressed Male Reader, and i noticed that several others Stories copied a bit of it. At least, during the Miku Arc. The weirdest part is that no one comment it.

I'm telling this because i recently noticed a new Story in which it was copied from one who is already existing.

...Odd.

Anyway, i decided to split this Chapter into two or three-part. Because i made you wait long enough. But there is a chance that i change this Chapter when i have the time.

I also added the Senk-Shu and their boyfriends because i though it would be cool for them to go on a Adventure with Kazoki and Tenka.

With that out the way, here three Omake before leaving.

(Omake: Shido vs Suidical)

Shido is walking in a park filled with snow when he hear stompping. Looking over, he saw a weird old man jumping on a frozen lack, stunning him. "Hey! What are you doing?! Get out of there!"

"No!" The old man screamed as he keep jumping.

"I said get out!" Shido insisted with annoyance.

"I said NO!!" The old man screamed, turning his head toward the young man who gapsed upon seeing his face.

"Him again?!" Shido though shocked.

In front of him is a suicidal that, for some reason, try everything he can to end his own life. Only for Shido Itsuka to stop him everytime, much to his dismay. It started to become a trent at this point.

Now, Shido once again find him trying to suicide as usual.

"If you don't get out, i'm coming down here!" Shido warned him.

"Good idea! We'll get down faster at two!"

Shido deadpanned before walking in the frozen lack...only to stop when he hear a crack. Looking down, he saw that the lack where he was standing was beginning to crack. He barely have the time to do anything before he fallen into the cold water.

Shido emerged from the water and look around to see that no one was there. He panicked as he feel himself becoming colder with every second. "HELP! SOMEONE!"

The old man from earlier stopped jumping to see what's happening and was stunned. "Oh!"

Shido keep calling for help when he hear running. Looking to his side, he see the old man going toward him. Then, the old man screamed. "YOU ARE NOTHING MORE THEN A SUICIDE THIEF!!!"

"...Eh?" Shido exclaimed confused at what he just hear.

"GET OUT OF HERE!! GIVE ME BACK MY SUICIDE!!!" The old man ordered angrily.

"N-No, i won't let you." Shido said, determinated to not let his man throw his life away.

"GAH!!" The old man screamed before he enter the hole and pushed Shido. "GET BACK!! GIVE ME SOME ROOM!!"

"STOP IT, WE'RE GOING TO DROWN!!"

"THAT'S THE POINT!!"

"YOU'RE MAD-"

Later...

Kotori and Reine witnessed a strange sight. Shido and an old man frozen in the lake with the two of them fighting.

"Several camera has noticed that Shido fallen into the water and that person has being try to help him. It's likely that it was a rescue mission that has gone wrong." Reine stated.

Kotori looked seriously at her brother. "Mmm...i think that we need to keep a eye on Shido. Something's telling me that he became suicidal."

(Omake 2: Date A Live with Kazoki)

Tohka Arc

Shido blinked twice while the girl pointed her sword at him. "You, Human, are you here to kill me?"

"Kill you?" Kazoki frowned. "Do i look like a psycopath to you? Because only them would kill people for no reason."

Yoshino Arc

Kazoki was silence upon seeing Shido next to Yoshino naked. He slowly pull out his phone. "I'm calling the cops."

Kurumi Arc

"Can't someone show me the way?" Kurumi asked.

Before any student could raise their hand, Kazoki get up and pointed at Shido. "Shido Itsuka is volontary!"

"What?!" Shido exclaimed shocked.

"Why thank you." Kurumi smiled. "May i have your name?"

"Kazoki Anakin, and i'm not a Jedi, by the way." Kazoki replied before sitting down.

Kotori Arc

Kazoki read a Manga at Home, before he see a explosion in the distance coming from the Funfair. He look at it...before shaking his head. "Nope."

Yamai Twin Arc

Kazoki deadpanned as he watched Shido being seduced by two girls who wear revealing outfit and acted like fanservice girls. "...I don't even want to know."

Miku Arc

"Will you shut up?!" Kazoki yelled, scaring Miku who tripped. "I'm getting sick and tired of hearing the same thing over and over again! Yes! We get it! You hate the entire Human race! But that don't give you the right to copy them or acting like a delusional hypocrite!! Like really?! Acting to save our ego?! Only someone pathetic as you would do that!!"

"W-What?!" Miku's eyes widened in shock.

"And beside, even if what you say is true, what difference does that make?!" Kazoki asked with a frown on his face. "At least, we're trying to fix the problem instead of making everything worse!! The same thing can't be said about you...in fact, if i didn't know any better, i would almost said that you're working with the DEM."

Miku was shocked at the suddeny accusation. Shido spoke up. "What are you talking about?"

"You know what i mean." Kazoki rolled his eyes. "Ever since she lost the contest, she has done nothing but trying to hunt us down while ignoring the people who can fight and defeat the Spirits. Not only that, but she trying everything she can to stop us or make us give on stopping those guys. That's is a proff that she siding with them."

"N-No! That's not true!" Miku get up and became angry at the accusation. "I have nothing to do with those people! I told you that i hate Human!" She point at Shido who flinched. "Especially those like him! He has tricked me by dressing as a girl! Why should i keep my words with someone like-"

"Are you telling me that if Shido has being honest with you this entire time, you would have keep your words?" Kazoki interruped annoyed, not in the mood for the usual 'never my fault' thing.

Miku froze at the sudden question. She try to open her mouth to answer...only to find out she can't. She slowly lowered her fingers and look at the ground. Kazoki nodded. "Yeah, i though so. Next time that you want to judge someone for their actions, make sure that you have any room to talk."

Natsumi Arc

The two Shido were arguing on which one is the real while Kazoki shook his head. "Well, not choice then."

Kazoki take several step foward...and pulled two guns, to everyone's shock. Shido called out. "What are you doing?!"

"I'm going to count to three." Kazoki speak, ignoring Shido. "And if that this moment, the impostor don't reveal themself, they will get a free trip to hospital for wasting my time!"

Nia Arc

"You're telling me that this girl can see everything in her Book, and yet she don't trust you and your girfriends?" Kazoki frowned, Shido nodded awkwardly at this. "I'm sorry but if that's not contradiction, then i don't know what this is."

Mukuro Arc

"So let me get this straight." Kazoki rubbed his eyes in annoyance. "After giving back her emotion to the Chiness girl, over there, she decided to erase everyone's memories of you because she hate sharing?"

"...Yes?" Shido said nervously.

"..." Kazoki turned toward Mukuro...before slowly clapping, much to everyone's confusion. "Congratulation, jackass. You officialy beat Babyzoid in the contest of the most bullshit in history."

For some reason, Mukuro feel insulted.

"Also, since when Tohka became edgy?" Kazoki point at Inverse Tohka.

"...What is that fool is talking about?" Inverse Tohka asked.

"Better be a fool then a exhibitionist." Kazoki replied.

Shido and Origami became nervous while Inverse Tohka narrowed her eyes. "What does that mean?"

Kazoki rolledh his eyes. "It's a word used for people who walk around naked."

"Naked?" Inverse Tohka repeated with annoyance.

"Yeah, i mean, look at yourself!" Kazoki gestured Inverse Tohka's Astral Dress, which leave nothing to imagination. "You're literaly asking people to ogle you! People might even accuse you to be a pervert."

"..."

"..."

"..."

No one is saying anything. They were stunned by the blunt and brutal honesty of Kazoki. Even Mukuro was taken back.

As for Inverse Tohka...

Kazoki didn't react when he find himself face-to-face with Inverse Tohka who pointed her sword at his neck. She growled dangerously. "You have a lot of nerve, Human...do you have a death wish?"

"You want to kill me? Go ahead." Kazoki shrugged without caring. "It don't change the fact that i'm right, and you know it."

Inverse Tohka narrowed her eyes. "So be it!"

"Tohka! No!" Shido exclaimed in horror only to be ignored.

Inverse Tohka grap her sword and launch it toward Kazoki's head to cut it off.

...But it never happen.

The sword stopped itself right as it was about to touch Kazoki. Shido, Origami and Mukuro were confused at this. They look at Inverse Tohka and were surprised. Despite having a serious face, her eyes showed...shock?

"W-Why didn't he try to dodge?" Inverse Tohka though to herself dumbfound.

"Well? What are you waiting for? Kill me." Kazoki said uncaringly.

Inverse Tohka didn't do anything, something that confused the rest of them. Why was she hesitating? Kazoki sighed. "Well, if you all excuse me, i gotta go."

"What?" Shido asked. "Where?"

"I need to buy myself a Burger, because i'm very hungry, and i don't feel like being part of whatever you're doing, so bye." Kazoki waved before turning around and walk away. When suddenly...

"Hold it!" Inversed Tohka exclaimed, making everyone stop. She then point at Kazoki. "He will be part of the contest as well!"

"...Come again?" Kazoki asked confused.

"What?!" Origami exclaimed stunned.

"This Human has dared making fun of me, and i refuse to let that go unpunished." Inverse Tohka exclaimed. "That's why i'm going to make his heart surrender to me, like that other man over there."

"Well shit." Kazoki muttered annoyed.

Later...

After that, the five of them has gone to a restaurant. Not much has happened...except that Inverse Tohka forced Shido to eat like a dog. She try to do the same with Kazoki, but she relented after he bit her hand. Of course, she sweared that she would make him pay after getting revenge on Shido.

Then, they have gone to another place. Long story short, Inverse Tohka and Mukuro fought and the latter lose her mind after accidently hurt Shido. They had to put aside their difference to calm her down, which was a success.

Then, when Inverse Tohka grabbed Shido and told him to not make Tohka sad, she turned toward Kazoki.

"What?" Kazoki asked.

"...If i return, you and i will go on another Date." Inverse Tohka stated, much to Shido's shock.

"...You're serious?" Kazoki asked.

"Dead serious." Inverse Tohka replied before letting Shido seal her.

After that, everything goes back to normal...except that Kazoki caught the interest of Inverse Tohka. But that's a story for another time.

(Omake 3: Shido the Brocon)

Kazoki open the door with the rest of the girl...only to find Shido bending over behind Kotori on the couch.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"...."

"...."

"...It's not what it lo-"

BOOM!

"And here we go again." Kazoki muttered as he watched Shido send flying by the Spirits who though he was taking advantage of his sister.

1: Shido trying saving the old man is inspired from a French Book where it happen the same thing. Except that it was by a Cop instead.

2: Basically, it's Date A Live but Kazoki is a recurring Character. And considering that he's brutaly honest and snarky, he wouldn't hesite to call on the Spirits for their actions.

3: ...Four words: Shido's revenge gone wrong. Except that Kazoki is present as well...and Shido was punished.
