Chapter 79 Nancy, dowâs gott Jessica was cunning, and Nancy was already tipsy from drinking. Heading off to content jessica now was a recipe for disaster.
Shirley tried to stop her, but her body suddenly went weak. Her legs wobbled, and she collapsed onto the floor before she could take more than a few steps.
Nancy, however, was already storming off with two bodyguards in tow.
Shirley reached for her phone, but her hands were trembling so badly that she could barely hold it. Her strength was fading fast, and it dawned on herâsheâd been drugged. Ignoring her own condition, the quick called Brook, told him jessicaâs location, and begged him to go there immediately with backup.
After hanging up, Shirley triederauding toward the door but lost consciousness before she could reach it.
At that moment, Evan walked in, picked Shirley up off the floor, and, with his bodyguardâs help, carried her out into the elevator.
As the doors closed. Evan Etted Shirleyâs face, staring at her in a trance.

He laughed shamelessly, his eyes lingering on her unconscious form. The faint mix of alcohol and perfume on her skin was intoxicating The elevator dinged, and they arrived at the parking garage. Evan was impatient, kicking the elevator door several times before it fully opened. âWhereâs the car? Hurry upâIâm loving it.â
The lot was parked with vehicles, and between Evanâs eagerness and the bodyguardâs nervous fumbling, they locked chaotic and clumsy.
Just then, Samuel stepped out of his car and noticed two men supporting a woman, her head drooping and face obscured by her hair. She was clearly unconscious Samuel had seen enough shady dealings to know what was happening, so he couldnât care less to intervene. As he turned to leave, his gaze fell to her shoes. His eyes narrowed, and he looked again Shirley was wearing a kneeâlength dress.
Samuel remembered Shirley owning a pair of the same heels. This womanâs legs were smooth and elegant, like Shirleyâs too.
His brow furrowed as recognition set in. He identified Evan instantly, and his expression turned iceâcold. Without hesitation, Samuel strode toward them.
Evan spotted Samuel and panicked âStop him?â he barked at his bodyguard.
The bodyguard moved to intercept Samuel but it didnât last long Samuelâs kick landed squarely in the manâs chest, sending him flying Evan stappered back, clutching Shirley tightly. âStay back!â
âHand her over.
Samuel slowly approached Evan. He was suce that the unconscious woman in Evanâs aim was Shirley, and his eyes burned with fury.
Evan looked at his bodyguard on the ground and back at Samuel. He knew he was outmatched. Evan glanced at Shirley, then shoved her forward reluctantly.
