Chapter 119
A deal with the devil
Chapter 119 Donald wasnât sure what Benjamin was thinking, so he continued his report.
âAfter leaving the Grays Residence, Mrs. Blackwood went to Westzone Racetrack, Joland Trubo Impact, and raced against a foolish woman. â
Benjamin frowned. âTurbo Timpact? Is that Tristanâs team?
âYes, Mr. Blaclowood. Turbo Impact is no longer what it once was. Itâs not Mrs. Blackwoodâs best option.â Donald objectively analyzed.
There was a brief pause before Benjamin replied, âIf I am not mistaken, Tristanâs father was disabled in a race due to an accident with his right leg.â
âYes, Mr. Blackwood,â Donald contimed.
1 see. Keep monitoring het,â Benjaminâs cold voice Instructed before he hang up the phone.
Shirley wouldnât have joined Turbo Impact for no reason. He remembered that Samuel also had a impaired right leg.
So, did she marry him out of necessity but still long for Samiel?
After hanging up the phone, Shirley added two more dishes to the table. Janine clicked her tongue twice and shot Shirley a knowing look As the dishes were served, Janine reached out to grab some, but Shirley ruthlessly swatted her hand away.
Janine couldnât hold back, she said, âWhat a fool you are! Are you really so worried about Benjamin? Does he even care about you?â
Shirley spoke calmly, âRight now, all I want is to get along with him peacefully. It doesnât hurt to pamper him a little. Itâll save me a lot of trouble.â
Janineâs voice o e caught as she spoke, âMrs Weiss would probably cry if she heard what you were saying.â
If Shirley had married someone else, they wouldâve treated her like a treasure. But the man she married was the coldâblooded devil everyone feared.
Studley smiled softly, comforting herself as much as Janine, âItâll get better over time. After all, Iâve only known him for a short while. We donât understand each other ver Janine glanced at Damian and then asked quietly, âHave you and Benjamin slept together yet?â
Shirley blinked, taken aback, then nodded.
Janine grinned and leaned in, âShirley, listen to me. Youâre his wife now, so go ahead and flist with him. Donât give those other women a chance. Youâre so beautiful, I donât believe he wonât fall for you. Keep it up, and heâll definitely start developing feelings.â
She continued enthusiastically, âAlso, being intimate with Benjamin can strengthen your relationship. Benjamin seems to really like children. Once you have lads with Benjamin, your bond will be soliditand.â
Shirley, hearing Janineâs words, felt a bitter smile formed inside. He had no intention of letting her bear his children.
Before Janine could launch into another lengthy speech, Shirley stopped her. âI can handle my own affairs. You should focus on yourself.â
Janineâs face softened into a sweet and bashful smile, almost like a woman in love, âWhat do I need to worry about? Marcus treats me well. He comes to my place everynight â
Shidey frowned. âHe hasnât asked you to move in with lain?
Janine shook her head, dismissing the concem. âI have my own place. If he moved in with me, it wouldnât make a difference.â
Shirley asked again, âHas he said when heâll introduce you to his parents at Finch Residence?â
Janine shook her head again. âNo, weâve just started dating. Itâs too soon for that.â
Shirley didnât press the issue any further. As her friend, though, she felt compelled to remind Janine. âMake sure youâre careful.
Take care of yourself. â
Janineâs expression darkened, her tone slightly defensive. âShirley, I know you donât approve of Marcus and me, but I really love him, and I believe he loves me too. If Lend op pregnant, heâll definitely propose to me.â
Shirley didnât know what else to say.
