There is just something about nature that can make you feel at ease .

It might be that cool breeze when it rustles gently against the tree brunches.

It's soothing , well it should have been soothing but for me who is a bit too connected with nature it was all kinds of creepy .

Everytime I hear a single sound I would be on alert . Unlike the men who looked excited to prove their masculinity against some helpless animals .

I kept a close eye on Lolo , who looked really calm , calmer than I was.  I could tell he was nervous though . It was his first hunt after all.

I knew because of the way he bit on his soft lips , putting me in a daze . It was a wonder I had not gotten into an accident for example bumping into a tree headfirst.

I had to admit though the hunt was exhilarating. I clenched my fists and smirked . I felt weirdly confident in myself as we got deeper into the forest .

Everyone went different ways either alone or with a partner . I acted like a stalker and went after Lolo .

As we went deeper into the forest  it became strangely quite. I looked around me as I began to hear strange whispers.

I felt my head become a bit heavy and I quivered , making me take a step back . " Young one , your beloved is in danger , follow the song to the west ".

Even though my head was in pain I wasted no time as I followed the path the Trees had told me about .

I could feel the adrenaline pumping in me as I ran through thorny bushes.

As I came closer I could hear his fast beating heart and a loud roar. He was scared , I ran even faster . When I got there the lion pounced on Lolo .

Missing him only by an inch , my heart almost jumped right out of my chest . I pushed him away and kicked the lion hard.

It roared at me loudly in anger . I held my spear in my hand as I has somehow lost my pistol. Well there was no other way .

It was either I fought against it or we were both dead . I was not ready to die yet , not without making him mine first .

The lion stalked me like I was prey which I actually was.  It pounced on me again and I dodged swiftly .

I was doing well for a while just dodging it's attacks when the whispers in my head appeared again. I did not understand what they were saying as they were too many.

It was honestly too distracting and it gave the king of the jungle the opportunity to attack me .

It scratched my chest and it bled badly . I gritted my teeth angrily , I tried to focus but the whispers got worse and I was losing.

I barely managed to dodge the attacks of the huge animal when I heard a sweet melody .

It was from a flute . I felt as if my mind was clearing which helped me focus better . I took my spear that had fallen on the ground and pounced on the large animal .

With one powerful strike it's life ended . I turned my attention to my beloved ." Are you alright ?" I asked him feeling very worried.

He stood up with an angry expression on his beautiful face . " I should be asking you that you handsome idiot , your bleeding so badly " .

Trust me when I tell you I did not hear the rest of the sentence , my mind just stopped at handsome . He actually called me handsome .

" What are you doing just standing there ? Sit your sorry self down I'll heal your wounds " .

I  did as I was instructed , my wife was always right after all. He went deep into the forest and brought some strange grass with him or was it leaves?" .

I knew nothing about herbs but I knew one thing after he made a special paste with them it helped me a lot .

I looked at his serious face as he treated my wounds and it warmed my heart . I knew from that moment that he cared about me .

" Stop smiling like a fool, we have a long way back to the village so I suggest we rest for a bit " . I was about to agree with him when a silhouette of a man appeared before my eyes.

At that moment I noticed that Lolo , fell asleep in my arms . I looked up at the man and it looked like a Zulu Warrior.

With full traditional clothes , a spear and a shield . His aura was imposing yet I strangely felt no fear ." Who are you ?" I asked in our native tongue.

I had a feeling that the man only knew how to speak Zulu . " I'm a spirit sent by your four fathers to guide you " .

I looked at him silently for a moment trying to digest what he had just said .

My first thought was great one more ghost came to join the party . " So what is your name sir?"

He knelt down infront of me ," they call me Xolo , young gifted prince".

" Sir Xolo , why did they send you to me ?" He looked at me with deep eyes and spoke ." They sensed that our people were in danger and only you can save them from calamity".

I sighed hearing his words ,then just nodded . " Pick up your beloved young prince we have to leave this forest it is not safe here ".

I nodded since I already knew . I looked at the lion , it was the only prey I had managed to hunt , could I really leave it behind? .

" Worry not for your prey young prince , it will follow you" I was confused at his words yet decided not to question him.

I picked Lolo , up and carried him in my arms.  It felt so good to hold him like that . I decided to be a little thief and steal his first kiss .

That's a secret though , no one will ever know . We walked for a long time and it was strange how I felt no hunger , thirst nor tiredness.

As if he read my mind sir Xolo , answered my question. "The bead bracelet , performs miracles when needed . Though it does not defend thoroughly like the bead necklace made for the queens".

I looked at it and was astonished . Honestly I thought it was just for decoration . Can you blame me ? I've been in dander so many times yet it did not help me .

I thought it was just a useless object. I guess just because it did not show it's strength like the bead necklace , I assumed it was a peace of junk .

As if it read my thoughts it shook making me chuckle . It was pretty cute , just like my Lolo .

Still stuck in my musings I did not realise we had already entered the village .

" This is where we part for now young prince , I will show up when needed again and also your lion has been delivered to the cooking shed ".

He disappeared after those words and a loud scream resonated throughout the village.

Great I guess they found it and at that moment Lolo , also woke up .

Well then this will be interesting.
