Chapter 641
Arielle Moore and Vinson Nightshire
Vinsonâs suggestion caused Arielleâs heart to start racing She did her best to calm herself down as she declined, âNo, Henrick prepared a house for me. I was planning to go over and clean it up after class.â
âThatâs so troublesome. Just stay over at mine. Thereâs more than enough space as it is,â Vinson said.
Then, he quickly added, âNot Nightshire Manor. Iâm talking about Maple Mansion.â
After all, Susanne was staying in Nightshire Manor. Knowing Arielle would feel uncomfortable, he quickly clarified that he wasnât meaning for her to stay there as well.
Despite that, Arielle shook her head.
âItâs really fine. The place Henrick got for me isnât far from here, so itâs more convenient for me to go to school. Also, I think my mom may have stayed there before, so I want to go and see if there are any traces of her.â
âOkay then,â Vinson said, slightly disappointed. Still, he didnât press on after hearing her reasoning.
âThen Iâll go help you tidy up too after school.â
Arielle chuckled at his words.
âHas the almighty Mr. Nightshire ever done any household chores? Donât give me more trouble.â
âDonât worry. Iâm super talented in the field of household chores. If I wasnât a Nightshire, I might even have become the worldâs best cleaner.â
âIs that so?â Arielle said with a smile and a nod. âOkay, Iâll have to see for myself after school.â
The moment Arielle finished speaking, Vinsonâs phone rang.
Arielle didnât know what was being said on the other end, but it only warranted an âOkayâ from Vinson before he hung up.
Before she could ask, he said, âThe results are out. They donât have a concussion at all, and their injuries arenât serious enough to be used in their favor. Iâll get the lawyer to prepare the defamation lawsuit.â
Arielle never considered herself to be a saint, so she nodded. âGood. These people shouldnât be allowed to just walk away freely.â
The more people like that she could get rid of, the better.
After all, they were all adults, and they had to take responsibility for their words. No matter what sentence they would be getting, they deserved it.
A hint of a smile appeared on Vinsonâs lips. He especially admired how cold-hearted Arielle could be at times.
After that, he called his lawyer and told him to prepare the defamation lawsuit.
After the phone call, Vinson said, âWith the help of my lawyer, theyâll be imprisoned for at least three years. You wonât have to worry about them for a long time. However, itâll probably take two or three days before they can actually get arrested.â
âThatâs fine. Iâve been dealing with it for so long., so two or three days is nothing.â
She glanced at her watch. âI should be heading to class now. If Iâm late, my teacher is going to lecture me again, and Iâm really not in the mood for that.â
âOkay, then go ahead. Iâll see you after school.â
âSee you!â Arielle said with a wave of her hand before walking into school.
Arielle had just left when Blake scurried over with his electric bike.
âBoss!â
âLetâs go,â Vinson said. âThe funeral is all prepped. Weâll keep it simple, so itâll just be the few of us.â
Blake knew he couldnât get any gossip out of Vinson after he heard the word âfuneralâ and nodded sadly, Back in the classroom, Wendyâs glee had been completely eradicated. In its place was inexplicable fear and irritation.
Vinson had truly chased her out of Nightshire Manor this time.
What should I do now?
With a muted thud, she slammed her head down onto the table in an attempt to let out her frustration.
Her deskmate piped up, âIâm going to ask Mr. Baxter to change my seat if you keep interrupting my studies!â
