Author's POV"I don't understand what you want right now...what will you get by making Akka and Athiyan restless"Thalir scoffed at Aadhavan, who seemed indifferent to her shouting. In a huff, she hurled a pillow straight at his face."Ipo ena achunu thayathaka nu kuthuchitu iruka nee.....Avan en anna avan kuda naa viladrein athula unaku ena vanchu....avane onum perusa eduthuka mattan" (Why are you making this a big deal? He's my brother, and I can play with him as much as I want. If he doesn't mind, then why are you creating a fuss?)Aadhavan spoke nonchalantly, expressing his dislike for her talking about the same topic for an hour after Thulir and Agathiyan had left.Thalir glared at him "Because I am getting reality checks now  as I have been in my delusional world dreaming that I would have a happy life with you""Ohh so what happened to that dream now "He questioned as he stood up, his anger rising alongside him."I think it will remain as Dream forever "Thalir said staring back into his eyes..unaffceted by his stern tone..."what do you mean by that?"Aadhavan asked raising his brows in not so calm tone taking a step closer to her...Thalir pushed him away "You've used me all these years to spy on Akka and Athiyan, to gather all the information about what's happening here. I was naive, believing you were hurt and needed my help... and gradually, I fell in love with you. It was my mistake to think you loved me in return. But no, you've returned now only because Periyattha asked you to; had you refused, she would have found another way to bring you back. You know she did this for Athiyan and Akka's marriage, and yet, what are you doing? You're trying to create a rift between them. What if Akka calls off the marriage? And now, I'm most afraid of what might happen if Akka discovers my involvement with you and learns about your parents secretly supporting you under the pretense of being angry at you."You are well aware of how my akka is..... she cannot forgive betrayal. You wish to play with your brother, and regardless of the extent of your quarrels, in the end, you will reconcile. However, if my worst fears come to true, then my akka  will act as if she no longer has a sister named Thalir and will never look back."On the other side Thulir spent the night awake, still needing to reveal her decision to call off the engagement...Agathiyan offered to reveal it, but Thulir insisted on handling it herself. If Uyir consented to call off the engagement, then it would be final. It wasn't a significant challenge for Thulir to inform her mother, yet something held her back from doing so.why does she want to stop this engagement is it because she is now prioritizing Agathiyan and her mental state or just because of the fear that Aadhavan might pull up any stunt that will disrupt their special day....why is she afraid of Aadhavan and what he possibly can do at the moment?  he can't do anything that will stop this function ....then what is it his presence that is bothering her...if yes then why?Wasn't Aadhavan her best friend? Indeed, he still is, as well as her closest cousin. She has been quarreling with Agathiyan since childhood, to the point where she can't recall when it started. Throughout, Aadhavan has been the mediator between them. He's the one she confides in and vents to the most, with nearly 90% of her complaints being about Agathiyan. Yet, Aadhavan always supports his brother, advocating on his behalf, never once conceding that Agathiyan might be in the wrong...Then what happened to that Aadhavan now?.....why is he behaving like a sadistic person?...is it just because of her rejection?Thulir couldn't decipher anything in this matter.... At least she knew why Aadhavan had refrained from contacting her and Agathiyan over the years; she was at least aware that her rejection was partly why Aadhavan left. But Agathiyan he got to know the partial reason just now and believes he is responsible too...Being harsh on him for the foolish decisions he makes now is like to punishing the Thulir who suffered from depression for five years and engaged in various actions that caused her physical and mental pain.That's the main reason she controlled her anger and leaving him in the name of punishment....leaving someone is not the only way to punish them....its not like she defending what he did was right and didn't hurt her...She knew that Aadhavan had asked Agathiyan to speak those words, The bruise in Aadhavan's face is evident of Agathiyan's anger when Aadhavan put forth that demand ....... Agathiyan did told everything to her, and when he finally resolved to utter those insincere words, he requested her not to come. Nevertheless, she couldn't restrain herself from going and ended up getting hurt on her own...Thulir took a deep breath, her gaze settling on the glass of milk her mother had given her. Agathiyan leaped inside in a single attempt and stretched his hands....Thulir was looking at him like she saw an alien. "what is this Agathiya?""Parrotta salna dii...okay lets get inside and have our dinner"Agathiyan took her hand, led her into her room, and gently guided her to sit on the floor. He then sat opposite her and began to open the parcel.placing it between them he tore the parotta into pieces and poured the salna drenching it fully...he also brought omelet and chicken 65...leaving the parrotta pieces to absorb the salna he opened other packets and started feeding her one  by one ..Thulir started eating as he was feeding her...in between she coughed...Agathiyan stood up and took the water bottle from the table and made her drink..."Methuva sapdri....elam unaku tha kai kal molachu ethum odi poidathu "(eat slowly dii....everything is for you only...nothing will run away from here )Agathiyan said patting her head...Thulir narrowed her eyes at him...."Ena Try pandringa ACP sir??"(What are you trying to do ACP sir...)Thulir asked him.....Agathiyan chuckled..."Can't you see....I am trying to reduce my future wife's anger from today itself so than when she decides to give punishment after all this issue subside she might consider all this efforts of mine and as appreciation she might reduce my punishment "Agathiyan said making her eyes widen...she hit his shoulder playfully..."Arivuthaan.. "Thulir also feed him and finished their dinner..........they settled on the bean bag in balcony  none of them spoke......after sometime Agathiyan said.."I just realized I hit  Aadhavan for the first time yesterday when he put forth such demand "Thulir looked at him puzzled about what is running in his mind as he said that with a smile...Agathiyan understood her unasked question.."Yesterday marked the first time we engaged in a hand-to-hand tussle, rolling on the ground, battling it out like brothers often do. I never had such fights with Aadhavan, but with you from our childhood. As I grew up, the opportunity to be that carefree, jovial brother with any of my siblings faded away. In fact, I've never engaged in such lighthearted combat with anyone, not even with Amuthan..... the age gap played a huge role to play in this matter Amuthan was 8 year younger to me , Aadhi - 10 years , Shiva 13 - years , Agni -16 years.........being the eldest of all I always had to be responsible and strict around them..... Apart from me and Aadhavan, the other four often have many such fights. Mostly, it's Aadhavan, and my role is to mediate and resolve conflicts between them.......atleast I had you to fight with but for Aadhavan no one he always been the mediator in every places......I am angry at him for his acts now....but somewhere it felt like he wants to relive everything he missed....like he wants us to fight and did all that to create such situation....what do you think?"Agathiyan asked Thulir......She glared at him.."would you ever accept that Aadhavan is wrong Agathiya.....just stop I don't want to hear anything about him right now and spoil this moment......you go and sleep I have college tomorrow..." Thulir stood up, intending to leave, when Agathiyan grasped her wrist and pulled; she stumbled backward and again fell on his lap...."I am here to make you sleep only....and I would leave only after making sure you slept...so don't try to shoo me lecturer  madam ""Then don't speak ACP sir"Thulir scoffed, twisting her lips. He chuckled, kissed her shoulder, and hugged her."Yes Madam..."Thulir smiled, leaned back comfortably against him, and closed her eyes to sleep. Agathiyan gently ran his fingers over her hands until she fell asleep.
