Her Life with the Prince (Completed)

XL

While waiting for our flight, Prince Alexander held my hand. I looked at him and smiled secretly when I saw how he looked like. He was wearing a cup on his head while the hood of his jacket was covering it. His usual sunglasses covered his eyes. It was hard for others to recognize him.

"You can still go back and look for another woman," I whispered while watching our joined hands.

I knew he glared at me behind those dark glasses, "You're out of your mind. Are you afraid of me?"

"What?" my face wrinkled, "No."

"You should," he grinned, "Especially the night after our wedding. I can't wait."

I smacked his arm. I was certain that the blood crept on my cheeks.

"Don't be so excited, Alexander, I know how much you want her," I heard a loud laugh behind us.

"Isaac," I called him once I recognized the couple. I stood and hugged the girl at his side, "Ella, how are you?"

"I'm fine," Ella responded and looked over my shoulder, "Hello, Your Highness."

"Hi," Prince Alexander greeted her.

"Where are you going?" I asked, "Second honeymoon?"

Ella giggled, "A kind of, but we're going to a wedding first."

I paused for a moment, thinking if they knew about us. Of course, there was a possibility that they had a friend that would get married today.

"Oh," was all I could say.

"Ella, honey, stop teasing Shirley," Isaac encircled his arms around his wife.

"It's a secret, isn't it?" Ella uttered while transporting her gaze from her husband to Prince Alexander.

"Not anymore," Alexander stood and put his hand on my lower back.

"I don't get it," I admitted.

"We're going to your wedding," Ella enthusiastically announced.

"What?" So, they knew my relationship with the prince. Of course, Shirley, Isaac Warden was Prince Alexander's best friend. He would learn all the happenings in His Highness' life.

"Oh my gosh, are we late?" Princess Victoria's high tone captivated attention from the people around us. She pulled down her sunglasses on her eyes to hide her true identity. The problem of being a public figure. "Hi," she waved her hand.

"Victoria, you're also..." she did not wait for my sentence to be completed.

"Yes, it's Alex's and your wedding, I can't miss it," she embraced me and there I saw Ben. But what shocked me more, the man beside Ben.

Prince Nicholas.

He wore a simple white shirt inside a thick jacket. He also had dark sunglasses and a hat to cover his real self. He went behind me to greet his brother.

"Congrats, Alex," he said. "I can't believe that you have already found the woman for you."

Prince Alexander looked at me with his crooked smile, "I'm thankful of what you've done in the past."

His dark tune froze me in my place. I did not know if I was the only one who heard them because Isaac and Ella were busy talking while Ben and Victoria stood meters apart from us.

I saw how Prince Nicholas's expression changed from soft to rough, like a storm during summer days. I had no idea what was going on between them since day one, but there was a hard feeling roamed in Prince Alexander's face.

"Alex, don't..." Prince Nicholas trailed off once Princess Victoria intercepted. She went between her brothers.

"Hey!" she said, "Our flight is in ten, what we are waiting for? Let's go," she wrapped her arms in each of her brothers, "I'm so excited for the wedding."

I was still standing on the ground when the siblings strode toward the guards. Isaac, Ella and including Ben stayed behind me.

"Shirley, are you alright?" I stared at Ella, whose concern was unreachable.

I just nodded, but what bothered me more was Isaac's whisper to me, "Past is past, young lady. Just forget what you've heard." Then, he uttered louder, "Come on."

---

The flight went smooth. I was sitting next the window and beside me was Prince Alexander, who still wearing his sunglasses to repel the attention the people might give him. Sitting on his side was Isaac then next to him was his wife.

Prince Nicholas was in the middle of Princess Victoria and Ben. They were located behind us. The princess protested earlier about his oldest brother being in the middle, but she had no choice. His brothers were both conservative when it came to her. They did not want Ben to take advantage while they were in flight. I just laughed at their over protection.

As the result, Princess Victoria plastered a permanent frown all throughout the flight.

The airplane touched down in Manila international airport before morning in the Philippines. There were guards guided us in the quick pace toward the exit to prevent the flood of people. We waited for another domestic flight to go in the place where Prince Alexander planned our wedding to happen.

Until now, I could not absorb that I would be married soon to the man that I only dreamed before. To the man that I never expected to meet personally. He had been out of reach, but now, anytime, I could hold his hand. He was my prince. My soon to be husband. And this was the real starting point of my life with him.

We only spent half hour travelling from Manila to Palawan. And another hour, from the mainland to an island through a yacht, which was owned by Ben's family.

The island was half woodland and half beach. There was a big mansion in the middle, and behind it was a forest that almost covered the horizon in that view. The white sand welcomed our feet while the humming of waves greeted us.

It seemed like it was summer in this country, because there was no winter here. If London was covered by white, Palawan touched our skin with hot sun.

Prince Alexander encircled his arm around my waist while grinning. I followed his gaze and there I saw, probably, the location of our wedding. It was magnificently designed with red flowers while the aisle was covered by a red carpet. There were posts located on the sides of the carpet, then white curtains formed up in the middle of every two posts. Chairs aligned for the audience and a small table in front for a minister who would lead the ceremony.

"It's beautiful," I muttered, difficult to comprehend what was in front of me.

"Just thank me later, okay?" Princess Victoria tapped my shoulder while her smile shaped from ear to ear.

"You did this?" I faced her, "I love it, Princess."

"Nah," she replied, "I have friends who made this for me. I'm the only one who worked for the blueprint. I'm glad that you love it, future princess."

Supposedly, I was going to disagree with her, but I dismissed it. It would happen, anyway. I just laughed and she joined me afterwards.

We began to walk toward the mansion. It was more elegant inside. The furniture were perfectly made for this place. The dining and living area were visible from the entrance. On the other hand, the glass windows gave the best view of the ocean.

"Please put those bags to the first room on the second floor," Princess Victoria commanded to the guards who went with us and at the same time, who became carriers of our baggage.

Actually, Prince Alexander and I had no luggage. He told me earlier that our things were already in the place where we would go.

"Put Victoria's things in the room beside my place," the more powerful voice of Prince Nicholas stopped the guards immediately from going to the second floor.

"What?" the automatic question got out of the princess, "No way, I'll stay with Ben."

"Do you hear yourself, Victoria?" Prince Nicholas became serious that made Her Highness gasped.

"It's my wedding, Victoria, not yours," Prince Alexander interrupted, "Get married first before making your fantasies to become true."

Princess Victoria's stares transferred to me like saying, 'I told you' then instantly rolled her eyes to her brothers. "Okay," she answered in a high tune like a spoiled brat who did not get what she wanted.

The royal siblings were still speaking, when the door opened and my least expected-yet I most wanted to see-people entered. My eyes went bigger and rounder. I had a doubt that I was not dreaming, but if it was a dream, I wished I never woke up.

"Mom, Dad," I ran to them. I was already hugging them when they realized I was already there.

"Shirley," dad whispered while tightening his embrace to me.

"My daughter," mom called me.

I broke our hug and looked at them with tears in my eyes. I was laughing and crying at the same. I missed them so much. "What are you doing here?"

Prince Alexander answered for them, "Of course, it's your special day. They need to be here for you." I did not notice that he was behind me until he spoke. He greeted my parents by shaking hands with my dad and kissing the hand of my mom. "I'm glad that I have a chance to meet you personally."

My parents bowed their heads, "Your Highness, it's our pleasure that you chose our daughter to be your wife," mom said in a very respectful voice.

"Please take care of our daughter," my dad added.

"Yes, I do, Mr. and Mrs. Woodman," Prince Alexander responded and looked at me with a smile.

"Oh my, it's Prince Alexander," that voice was Hana. She showed between my parents while amusingly staring at the Prince beside me. Her stares walked until it stopped to see the people nearby. She exclaimed while pointing, "Oh, is it Prince Nicholas? He's so handsome! Princess Victoria is so beautiful! They are so..." she did not continue to talk because Elena covered her mouth.

"Hi, Shirs," my younger sister looked paler than the last time I saw her in Chicago two months ago.

"Oh, Ley, you're there," Hana just recognized that I was in front of her.

"Yeah, thank you for noticing me," I said sarcastically, but I went to them and squeezed them. "I missed you both," I muttered. And they each responded how they missed me.

Chance stood behind my sisters while gazing up at me. Beside him was Lola, whose beam was inerasable. I embraced Chance first, then kissed his forehead. He was still quiet, even though I repeatedly told him that I missed him so much.

Then, I kissed Lola's cheek and we hugged each other. "I still don't like him, but he will be your husband, so I have no choice but to agree with this one," she stated.

I raised my eyebrow, "How did you know..."

"He called us," she answered my unexpressed question, "Uh no, he called your parents before he asked me to go to your wedding. The tickets and everything were already fixed when he told us about...the both of you. All we need to do is to bring us here." She lowered her voice, "He is really head over heels for you, my dear best friend."

For sure, my whole face shone bright red.

After our little conversation, I watched my prince talked with my parents. He was already carrying Chance in his arm. With him was his brother, Nicholas, and his best man, Isaac. Elena and Hana were occupied with their chitchats with Ella and Victoria, who looked amused with my sisters.

"You should meet my new friends," I told Lola. I pulled her to the princess and the billionaire's wife.

I felt Prince Alexander's stares at my face so I faced him for a while and he winked.

I did not know how to thank him for doing all these to me. I did not realize that I fell in love with him more until I thought about it.
