Rough Drafts: A Collection Of Badly Written Short Stories and Poems
If I disappear, would you look for me?
Would you look in the places you know I'd be?
Even if I pushed you away relentlessly?
If I grew silent, would you bring me back to life?
When death creeps in and my spark dies?
Would you look me in the eyes and tell me they shine?
If I asked if you loved me, is platonic the word that comes to mind?
Do I creep into your conscious and flood your view?
Live there rent-free in your fantasies with you?
Am I found in your dreams, and you wake wishing they were true?
When you are roused at night, do you welcome my presence from afar?
Do you know that I leave the door between us slightly ajar?
And I am waiting for you to say you'd drive me away in your car?
Would you drive me into the night?
And do unspeakable things to me between my thighs?
As we both come to an inescapable high?
Do you want to hear your name in my scream?
Do you speak to others of me kindly?
Or am I an unwanted pressure that never leaves?
Am I a tumor that only grows with age and you find pestering?
Am I your type?
For me, would you fight?
Am I the dirty little secret that you hide?
Do you know we'll never work?
Will you visit my grave and place flowers there if I die first?
Am I your blessing, or more like a curse?
Would you fire off answers to me like a rocket?
Do you think these are the only questions in my pocket?
Would you be surprised if there were more in my heart shaped locket?
