Callum's Pov

I watched my mate as she finished what was left of her plate. I was already done but just sat there watching her eat.

She was elegant in everything she did. I couldn't help but smile at that thought.

"What's so amusing?" She asked drinking her glass of water.

"Nothing." She raised an eyebrow. "All done?" I asked changing the topic.

"Hmm." She replied rising to her feet. I followed suit and we walked towards the living room.

"You know I was serious about what I said back there." I said.

"Okay, how about tomorrow afternoon then, it's a Sunday so I'm free." She replied. I smiled broadly.

Tomorrow I'm going to introduce my mate to my family and friends though I don't plan on telling her the truth about us yet.

We spent some more time together just watching random shows on the TV and chitchatting.

By the time I had to leave, it was already really late. Mom was surely going to nag me about this, but she'll understand when she sees my mate tomorrow.

"Bye cal. See you tomorrow afternoon." Natalia said breaking me from my thoughts.

"Yeah, have a goodnight." I said and kissed her forehead.

I chuckled at her flushed face. She waved at me before running up the stairs.

What am I supposed to do about this? She's just so cute.

I was up before the sun rose to the sky. I went out and ran laps for my morning exercise. Then I took a bath and had breakfast.

"What are your plans for today?" Angie asked while I was tapping away on my laptop.

"I'm bringing someone home later today." I replied simply.

"Who? Your mate?!" She asked impossibly moving closer to me as she was already sitting beside me.

We were in my study. I was trying to fix some work and my pesky sister was bothering me.

"What a great guesser you are." I replied sarcastically and she jumped and clapped.

"This is so great! I'm actually going to see the superstar Natalia tomorrow!" She yelled

"Quite Angie. By the way, how did you know my mate is Natalia?" I asked curiously. I didn't remember mentioning my mate's name to Angie.

"Oh, just my charm." She winked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Anyway, I need you and Asher to make sure nobody in the pack house shifts today. I can't have my mate finding out about us yet." I said sternly.

"Why do I have to do that with Asher? And why can't your mate know yet? I mean she's going to be our Luna sooner or later so she'll eventually have to find out soon enough." Angie whined and I sighed.

"Stop complaining Angeline and do as I say, I'm going to speak to Asher now." I said and left.

I didn't know what her deal with Asher was and I really didn't care. All I wanted was for my mate to be safe.

I walked towards my office where Asher and Caleb were waiting for me.

"Morning Alpha." They both greeted simultaneously.

"Morning. Asher I need you to make sure no wolves shift in and around the pack house today because I'm bringing a human here." I said.

"Why are you bringing a human here?" He asked.

"She's not just any human Asher. She's my mate." I replied and both their eyes widened.

"You found your mate?!" Asher half yelled.

"Yes."

"Doesn't she know you're a werewolf yet?" Caleb asked and I shook my head.

"She doesn't and I want it to stay that way for now. Go do as I said, I'll be back with her in the next three hours." I said walking out the office.

I drove to Natalia's house and rang the doorbell. As usual, the old lady opened the gate for me and I greeted her politely while she smiled in return.

I went into the house and heard loud music playing from the living room.

I walked in to see Natalia and Skylar dancing to Bruno Mars. Yeah I love Bruno Mars, don't judge.

They only seemed to notice my presence when I laughed at their funny dancing.

They both shot their gaze towards me and Natalia who was standing on a couch got down.

Skylar tuned off the music while Natalia walked towards me.

"Hey Cal, you're here early." She chuckled nervously and I smirked.

"Really? Last time I checked we were supposed to meet up this afternoon and it's already 2pm." I said and she glanced at a wall clock beside us.

"Oh." She muttered blushing. "I'll quickly go change!" She said running off.

"He'll Callum." Skylar walked up to me.

"Good afternoon Skylar." I smiled giving her a handshake.

"If you don't mind, I'm gonna steal Natalia for a few hours." I said and she smiled.

"Sure. Though I don't know you that well, Natalia trusts you so that's enough for me, just make sure to keep her busy and happy.

She needs her mind off certain things if you understand where I'm coming from."

"I do, I assure you she'll be fine." I replied and she nodded before walking up the stairs. She said something to Natalia who was walking down the stairs.

'Have fun girl.' was what she said. Thanks to my wolf hearing, I could hear her clearly.

Natalia walked towards me wearing a green thick strap dress that reached just above her knees and black flat shoes.

She hung a black purse over her shoulders. Her hair straight and flowing down her back.

"Let's go." She chirped and I took her hands in mine enjoying the sparks dancing around me.

I led her to my car outside and drove us to my pack.

"Your house is located in the forest?" Natalia asked when I drove out of town and to the road between thick bushes and forests.

No human would dare venture here but of course I wasn't a human.

"It is." I smiled at her.

"I'm beginning to suspect you." She said and I laughed.

We finally arrived at my pack and I could see the hope flash through her eyes at the sight of civilization and people.

"Woah. I never knew a whole world was out here. Are we still in LA?" She asked as I got to the pack house.

"Sure we are, though the outskirts." I said.

"This is your house?!" She almost yelled with widened eyes. I chuckled.

"It is. What do you think?" I asked.

"Awesome." She replied.

I got out of the car and she followed suit.

My mom and Angie were outside waiting for us.

"Hey Mom, Angie. Meet Natalia Quinn. Talia, my Mom and younger sister." I introduced them to one another.

"Nice to meet you!" Angie yelled and embraced Natalia. "I'm your biggest Liadling." She added after breaking the hug.

"Oh, look like you siblings love me too much." Natalia jokes earning a laugh from both Angie and I.

"Nice to meet you Natalia. I've been waiting for this day." Mom said and also hugged Natalia.

"Oh really?" Natalia asked seemingly confused.

"Yes." Mom said after breaking the hug.

"Alright let's go in!" I said changing the topic.

Angie linked arms with Natalia and led her in. Seems like those two were gonna get along well.

I told Mom through our mind link that Natalia knew nothing about us and it should stay that way for now. She nodded and we both walked in after them.

Asher and Caleb were waiting for us in the living room.

They introduced themselves to Natalia as my best friends. Natalia got comfortable easily and for a while just conversed with them.

I received a mind link from Lucas the leader of the pack warriors alerting me that Sebastian the Alpha of Luck Moon pack and our biggest enemy entered our territory.

Why did this have to happen now of all times?!

I mind linked Asher and Caleb telling them to come out with me to meet Sebastian before he got here and ruined things with my mate.

If Sebastian found out about my mate being human, no doubt he'll reveal our secrets to try separate me from my mate as that's the biggest revenge you could give to any male wolf.

I also mind linked Mom and Angie telling them not to let Natalia out of the house no matter what.

I went outside and Asher and Caleb were quickly behind me.

"We have to drive out Sebastian now! He can't find out about my mate." I said to them as we rushed towards the pack's border.

We got there and saw Sebastian making a fuss trying to fight off Lucas. Though they were both in their wolf forms, they were having a hard time fighting each other.

"Stop this right now!" I yelled and they both stopped.

"Sebastian you're making a wrong move, this could instigate war!" I yelled.

'If it isn't the almighty Alpha callum.' He said through mind link and I rolled my eyes.

"Leave now why I'm still being nice." I said.

Asher and Caleb already transformed into their wolves and some of our pack warriors had surrounded the place also in their wolf forms.

'And if I don't want to?' Sebastian said. 'Fight me Alpha or are you scared I'd beat your ass?' He said and I got angry.

Azure was also feeling threatened and wanted to be let out.

No, no. Self control. My mate is just a few houses away. I can't let her see me in my wolf form. Like hell I can't let her see any of us in our wolf forms!

Sebastian kept pushing my buttons. I got fed up and let Azure out. I went straight for Sebastian's throat which was every wolves weak point.

We struggled with each other but I eventually overpowered him after all I wasn't known as the Alpha of the biggest pack in the whole of America for no reason.

I was going to rip out his lungs when I heard a loud scream. It wasn't just any scream but the scream of my mate, Natalia.

I looked back to see Natalia staring at us with wide eyes.

"Wolves?!" She said and I let my guard down. Sebastian got away but Asher, Caleb and Lucas were quick to run after him.

I stared at my mate in shock. No, no, this couldn't be happening.
