Chaos in the house

Vivan's Pov:

I completed all my work for a week and started heading towards my home , because from tomorrow onwards our wedding function is going to start and my mom has clearly given me instructions to complete all my work , and I shouldn't be working in this whole one week , so I just wrapped all my work and started heading towards my home.

As I pulled up to the gate, the guards quickly opened it after seeing my car approach. The moment I entered the driveway, I was greeted by the sight of my house in full celebration mode—lights twinkling everywhere and flowers adorning every corner. I parked my car in the garage and, just before stepping into the house, I could hear the noise and laughter from inside. My cousins, my relatives , had already arrived.

I suggested to my mom before  "Why don't we just book  hotel rooms ? It might be easier."

But she shook her head firmly. "No," she replied, "we're going to enjoy this together. What's the point of having such a big house if we end up putting our own people in hotels?" Her words were simple but made me smile—she always believed in making our home the center of every celebration.

As I entered the house I saw everyone is busy doing different chores , all the men of the house are sitting and talking about politics, business and their endless topics. Some ladies are busy in the kitchen , some are busy in talking gossiping whatever they do.

My bua was the first one to see me and as soon she saw me she excitedly came running towards me and took me in a bone crashing hug and just like that all the limelight came on me and everyone started coming towards me , hugging me , congratulating me and I got all shy.

I bent down to touch the feet of the elders, feeling their blessings warm me as I straightened up with a smile. The men, though, quickly excused themselves, eager to leave for a cricket match they didn’t want to miss. As they trickled out, I breathed a sigh of relief, thinking I’d finally get some peace. But the ladies? They weren’t going anywhere. They surrounded me, asking endless questions, teasing me about everything under the sun, and making sure I couldn’t slip away. Their laughter filled the room, and it felt like they were in no rush to let me off the hook.

"Bhabhi main keh rahi thi iski Nazar utar Lena abhi sa chehra par chamak hai iska toh (Bhabhi, I  was saying that you should get rid of evil eye because his face had already started glowing.) ," my bua excitedly said.

"Vivan , tell us something about your wife , I mean we just saw her in pics , we all।are not able to attend your engagement , tell us something" my chachi asked teasingly.

"Why are you all asking these questions to him , see him he is already so shy , my poor baby , stop teasing him ladies" my Massi said taking me in a hug.

"Nupur , we are not teasing him we are just happy , and I think I am more happy than anyone else because every time I ask ansh to get married he always replies to me  Mom, Vivan bhaiya hasn't even gotten married yet. But now after vivan's marriage ansh will not have any other excuse." Maami said being the most happy

"Aap phir mera shadi puran lekar baith gaya ho(Mom, you’ve once again sat down talking about my marriage.)" I saw ansh irritatingly looking at his mom.

Ansh came downstairs, he argued with mami.  I stood there quietly, feeling exhausted. I had been surrounded by the ladies all this time, and honestly, I was just done. I needed a break, some peace, and then Ansh spotted me. After saying something to mami, he grabbed me and led me away.

"Let's go to Sarah's room," he said, and I  followed him because I thought now I will have relief but when we reached Sarah’s room, I was met with a scene that felt more like a circus than a family gathering. The whole cousin squad was there, but the chaos they had created was something else. Some were chatting animatedly, others laughing loudly, and the room felt like a whirlpool of energy.

As we walked in, I could feel my frustration rising. Between all the ladies teasing session  and now the chaos here, it felt like the day would never end. I tried to distance myself from the noise, but their laughter and chatter just kept echoing in my head.

"Everyone shut up" I angrily shouted making the whole room go quiet.

The benefit of being the eldest child of the family is that every cousin is afraid of me.

As soon as I stepped into the room, my cousins, who had been creating all the chaos, suddenly fell silent. It was as if the air shifted, and I found a moment of peace. I relaxed for a second, letting my shoulders drop, but then, out of nowhere, I heard a low growl. My heart skipped a beat, and I looked around.

There, standing in the doorway, was a massive dog. Its eyes were fixed on me, and the silence in the room made its presence feel even more intense. I froze. The dog was huge—much bigger than any dog I’d ever seen—and its stare felt like it was piercing right through me. My pulse quickened. I had always been afraid of dogs, and this one? This one was straight out of a nightmare.

The room was still, but inside, panic was setting in. I tried to back away subtly, but the dog stepped forward, its gaze never leaving mine. The thought of running crossed my mind, but I knew that would only make it worse.

" Who brought this dog here "I asked angrily.

I saw everyone pointing towards khushi (bua's daughter) , I angrily glared at her.

"Don't worry bhaiya , he will not do anything , don't get scared of him" she tried to calm me.

"I am not scared of dogs" I screamed angrily though I am but I can't tell it this on their face even though they know it.

"Yeah yeah we all know" all of my cousins said it together sarcastically.

Before they could say any other word , I slowly went out of the room and went directly inside my room , taking a shower and changing in some comfort clothes , i went outside because it's dinner time.

I was about to enter the dinning hall when I heard very familiar voice , I stepped in and I saw advika there who is sitting with everyone , I smiled seeing her but before I step in I just once again looked at myself , I am legit wearing casuals a plane t shirt and pyjamas , I was about to ran back when I saw my cousins standing in front of me.

"Kidhar jaa rahe ho , andar bhabhi baithi hai(Where are you going? Bhabhi is sitting inside.)" agrima(maasi's daughter) asked.

"See what I am wearing casuals, I am not gonna meet her like this looking like a homeless person" I replied back.

"Ohooooooo , bhaiyaa you are so changed"akshit(chachi's son) said teasingly.

"Shut up guys let me go" I told them to give me space.

"Ohh cut the crap, are you gone mad bhai , what are you gonna wear suits, it is not a formal meeting and trust me this what you are wearing is normal but if you will wear anything extra everyone will judge you and common we all are wearing normal casual clothes only" Sarah replied back.

Before I could say anything mom called me and now I have to go because I don't have another option.

I went inside with confidence while all the cousins were tailing behind me, I acted surprised seeing advika while my cousins laughed at it , these demons I am gonna punch all of these.

Chachi being chachi stood up from her seat and made me sit on her seat which is on the right of advika making both of us nervous but I am all dancing from inside.

"OMGG , you guys look just so perfect I mean damn what a perfect couple , evil eyes off I swear" one of my cousins shouted and I don't know who it is because I just cannot think about anything other than the fact that she is sitting beside me and we are with my whole family in my house.

"Why are you all wasting time , we are here to eat food , because of all this nonsense talk food is getting cold" dadi irritatingly said making everyone's smile fade.

"Khushi , kitchen main jaakr zara mirchi toh lekar aayo vivan aur advika ki Nazar utar dun , becharo ko abhi sa Nazar lagna lagi hai(Khushi, go to the kitchen and bring some chili so I can ward off the evil eye from Vivaan and Advika. Poor things are starting to get the evil eye.)" bua said sarcasm dropping from her tone , all my cousins laughed hearing this , dadi   angrily looked at bua and I just stood up and went away from there because I can't handle all these anymore.

I just went outside in the pool area and just stand there looking at the moon which is glowing and thinking about the previous drama of dadi.

I heard some footsteps and looked back to see advika standing there I turned my face to the other side , she also heard all these and I think she is gonna question me about that only.

"Don't worry I am not asking you anything " she said before I can overthink anymore

"Why" i softly asked.

"You could have asked a lot of things to me a lot of times , but you didn't give me my space so I can also give your space" she said making me smile and I side hugged her.

Our moment was broken from some voice when I looked around I saw that giant dog sitting there before I could scream or say anything , I saw advika kneeling in front of him and saying " Omgg you had a dog in a house you know I love dogs" she said smilingly.

"I too love dogs" I also said smiling sheepishly.

"Liar "I heard all my cousins saying this in sync.

I looked back at advika who is engaged in playing with that dog so she didn't heard it , I shoot them glared but they laughed smirkingly.

After sometime all the cousins came there and met Advika hugging them except ansh because he is very shy,  he just did namastey and that too from distance.

And in some moment, advika had already became a part of this group and now she is laughing chit chatting with everyone.

I was happy seeing but my happiness was short lived when I heard a familiar yet horrible voice coming.

My cousins looked at me and I looked at them while advika looked at us confusingly, before she could even ask what happened I felt someone hugging me, I looked advika who is glaring us and I am freaking nervous now.

I am in big trouble.
