Chapter 11 ~Forgot the Guild master~

In the Eagle Inn -

Noah was sleeping. No. He was waking up. Just now. His eyes fluttered open, beautifully..

*ahem*

He was clearly still half-asleep, as his eyes were dazed. He hugged the pillow tightly, and brought up the blanket more to cover himself. Arteus watched this red eyes. Not because he couldn't sleep, but, because, uh-

Arteus was also laying down next Noah. Karm had left for the spirit realm, as he was still the spirit king.

Arteus's hand held Noah by his waist. He(A) caressed his(N) back gently, making Noah more sleepy, even though he had just woken up. Noah nuzzled in Arteus's arms, as he slowly drifted back to sleep. His half-opened eyelids seemed to feel heavier, as he quickly, but elegantly ✨ closed them.

He opened his eyes, not a second later and looked at Arteus. The morning light shone in form the windows, perfectly hitting the centre, where the bed was. But right now, Noah could not care less about this.

Despite his slightly hurried actions, his voice was still hoarse, and tired, having woken up just now - "Arteus, we forgot to meet guild master yesterday..."

Listening to Noah, who suddenly woke up, Arteus calmly said - "It's fine. We are going to the guild later anyways. We'll just meet him then. He doesn't have much work, he just likes to play around."

"Oh" - Receiving Atreus's 'ok' to continue to sleep, Noah once buried his head into Atreus's chest, and happily slept. Without a care in the world for his(N) 'old friend', the guild master.

...

Two hours later, 9am.

Noah and Arteus had gotten ready, and had their breakfast were ready to go the guild. Karm had also come over. He had dressed quite extravagantly, for today.

'I'm going to be meeting this lesser being, that apparently has more authority then Master Noah! I need to make sure he deserves to stay there, if he's weak...'

He seems to be threatening the guild master, that he had yet to meet.

But his focus quickly changed - 'Master Noah... seems really tired...'

Noah was weakly leaning, with Arteus's help. He looked really exhausted. Both Arteus and Karm had worried expressions on their face - 'What's wrong?' Arteus pondered.

'He seemed to be fine this morning. But later, he could not even eat his breakfast, and now he can barely stand...

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with his health internally either..'

Arteus was ready to go crazy at any moment now. He carefully held Noah in his arms, and tried to persuade Noah to stay and rest, - "Noah, you seem really sick, why don't you just stay here? We can meet him tomorrow? Or I can drag him here!"

Noah shook his head in response - "I want to meet him..."

He seemed to have fever, as his face was flushed, his whole body burning, and breath spew onto Arteus's neck. What would usually turn on Arteus, was now worrying him. He wanted to day more, but he remembered how stubborn Noah is. When he makes up his mind, it would take a a lot of convincing (which was mostly done in bed by him(A)) to change his mind.

Though, he could use the same method, it was not the best idea now. With Noah being sick, there's no way he would do that. Both Arteus and Karm looked at each other, with troubled expressions. They sighed at the same time.

Arteus picked up Noah in a princess carry, and Karm got closer. They used teleportation magic, and directly arrived in the guild master's offices in the building of [FrostShield].

The inside of the office was quite simple, with bookshelves containing many documents, a table in the centre with the guild master sitting there, and an assistant who was frozen in surprise.

The light shone in from the windows, and lit up the whole room. The guild master was now standing looking at them with surprise.

Karm looked at the guild master with shock written all over his face - "IT'S YOU! YOU CRAZY ICE KING!"

"YOU STUPID SPIRIT! WHO ARE YOU CALLING CRAZY!?"

"YOU!-"

Noah squirmed from the noise. Arteus looked at them with a cold gaze - "Stop shouting. Flard, Noah isn't feeling well. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with his body, except for the heat. He's having a fever, but it won't subside with the magic. In fact, it's just making it worse. Quickly, find someone to check."

Flardryn Philynn, the guild master of [FrostShield]. Introduced once you reach level 50. He was known to be from the [Akhogia Empire], and was the first NPC to even mention it. Though the quest was given by the royals, you had to meet Flardryn in order to go there. The Akhogia Empire's people were known to have dark skin, and so was Flardryn. He had dark skin, with light blue hair and eyes. The same as ice.

One look from him, and you would feel like the whole world was frozen. And that was also how powerful he is.

Arteus placed Noah on the sofa, and let Flardryn look over him. "Young master Noah is? How could this..?"

Flardryn took Noah's wrist in his hand, and sent his own magical power. "If there isn't anything wrong with his own body, then it must be his magic."

He quietly checked, making sure to not hurt Noah internally. "Is his magic power going haywire?"

Arteus asked with even more concern laced in his voice. 'If it's his magic power, then we'll need to quickly get it under control.'

He was slowly losing his cool, as Flardryn had yet to finish checking. He watched as Flardryn, slowly moved his magic all over Noah's body.

A few minutes after, he left go of Noah's wrist, gently placing it down.

"His magical powers are fine. The problem is that his mana is continuously being sucked out. And even more mana is entering his body. Because, more mana is entering his body than the amount he's losing, there's not enough mana veins in his body to hold them. That's why he's suffering. Using magic is no good."

"Ugh- Arteus..." Noah groaned in pain, calling Arteus. Arteus quickly held Noah's hand and caressed his head. This seemed to slightly calm Noah.

"Then what Do we do?"  Atreus asked.

FD - "Well, we'll have to find where his mana is going to. It's being sucked out, and even if it's as pure as the natural mana itself, nature would not accept it. At least, not for now. It must be something else."

"Then what about the mana being entered into his body?" Karm asked. He only got a disgusted look from Flardryn.

"W-what is it, you stupid ice king!? You dare look at me like that!" He asked with anger.

Flardryn said with a contemptuous look - "You conceited spirit king! Obviously, the mana entering his body is from nature itself! It's directly entering his body, that is why young master Noah's body cannot handle it! And your cal, yourself a spirit king!? How INSULTING!"

"You dare you HUMAN! This great spirit king had granted you his presence, only because of Master Noah! And yet, you dare insult ME!?"

The so-called 'Ice King' and legitimate 'Spirit King' started to argue with each other. Arteus ignored the two of them, actually three. The assistant was trying her best to control these two, who looked ready to destroy the whole building. Her name is Amarille.

Arteus used a noise collation spell on Noah, and checked to see where his mana was being taken.

In no time, he quickly figured it out. 'Right... here? In the guild?'

Arteus looked around the room first, while also trying to sense the presence of this being.

He found a presence, which was right here in the office. There were anay strong auras here, but only one stood out to him. He looked over to a bookshelf. Gently letting go of Noah's hand, he went over to that bookshelf.

"Flard, unlock this." He asked Flardryn.

Flardryn looked at Arteus in shock, but quickly went over, followed by karm.

Flardryn moved his hand to touch a blue book that's as the same colour as his hair and eyes. It was the most neatly kept book out of all of them, but it was certainly many, many years old.

Flardryn removed the book, and opened to certain page. The page held a bunch of words, designs and patterns.

"This.."

Karm said in a shocked and fearful voice. These words, designs and patterns might look like nothing to others, however, they contained a powerful spell, that locked something right behind this bookshelf. An extremely powerful, and fearful being.....
