Chapter 8 ~Quest - Spirit Summoning book~

Evergreen Land - Vokrairin Kingdom[BL] {BOOK 1}

"Arteus! I need your help!"

"What is it?"

"Is there a spirit summoning book in this room!? If there is where is it!?

Arteus looked at Noah with confusion, then thought about where this book is.

'I know there is one. But I've never cared about it. Now that my beloved wants it, I have to remember where I saw it.'

He thought for a few seconds before he answered - "It's supposed to be in the bedside table. It had illusion magic and spirit magic cast upon it.

The spirit magic will bring you into a trial to see if you're qualified to access the book.

But, I'm pretty sure Mrs.Oxborg probably removed it. You can ask her for it."

Noah - "I see. Then let's go down and ask her."

Noah quickly got up and ran down stairs. Arteus followed him - "Don't run! Be careful, you'll hurt yourself!"

Noah, of course didn't listen and continued to run.

He looked around for Mrs.Oxborg, and found her in the kitchen, helping Mr.Oxborg cook.

They were both happily having a romantic and peaceful moment.

Noah hesitated to do anything, seeing this.

'Should I ask her later?'

He seemed to accept that and started to close the door once again, but Arteus was faster.

He walked in and asked the question - "Leanna, where is that spirit summoning book in room 205?"

Noah looked at Arteus, flabbergasted.

'Did he not notice the atmosphere around them? How could he just come in and ask a question like that!?'

He looked over at Oxborg couple. He sighed in relief - 'They don't seem to be angry.'

In fact, it was normal for the Oxborg couple to be disturbed like this. Arteus never paid attention to anything, except for Noah.

"Esteemed one, I have placed the book in the store room. I will get it for you." Leanna said, and left to get the book.

"She'll bring it. Let's wait over there." Arteus pushed Noah over to a table and sat him down. He did a quick check on Noah to see if he is hurt from running down stairs. After seeing him unhurt, he sat down in a chair to Noah.

"Don't run like that again. You'll get hurt." Arteus said with slightly scolding tone.

"Mn, I won't. Sorry." Noah smiled innocently while apologising.

"But... you know, how could you just barge in on them when they were having such a romantic moment? That's mean."

Noah chided at Arteus for being indifferent.

Arteus frowned - "What romantic atmosphere? Weren't they just cooking?"

Noah was surprised by Arteus's answer. "Did you really not see them being all lovey-dovey!?"

"Were they?" Arteus asked. He had a confused expression on his face.

Noah sighed and let it be. "Don't do that again."

"Do what?"

He(N) didn't reply and instead looked towards the way Leanna had gone.

"Noah, do what? Tell me.."

Arteus was still confused, and probed Noah for answers.

Seeing that he(N) wasn't answering him, he closed his mouth. Though, he still continued to stare at Noah with an intense gaze, full of curiosity to what he had done.

Leanna soon came back, and gave the spirit summoning book that was supposed to be in room 205 to Noah.

He took it and thanked her, before dragging Arteus back up to the room.

Once they came in, Noah quickly opened the book, forcefully breaking the spirit magic on the book.

'Forget about going through the trail. It will probably be some strange courage, being nice, blah blah blah, things.'

He opened the book, and went through each and every page in less than 5 minutes.

The book's cover was blue in colour with a few light blue stone at the corner. It had no specific design nor mark to it.

It looked like an incomplete spell book.

The pages still looked as new as ever. An agin speed was as well cast upon it.

They had information about the various types of spirits.

How to summon them. The needed items. Diagrams. No information was left out.

Noah had read through the whole book, and turned the pages to a diagram.

The words written were -

This was a pretty detailed, but short explanation.

Noah quickly got down to prepare everything, as Arteus watched.

"Do you want help?" Arteus asked, Noah only shook his head, completely involved in the summoning.

'I can create the circle with magic. I have Eno husk. I'll have to crush it to make it into dust. There is no need for magic stones, since I have mana almost at the 1000s now. As for Wizearise, I don't have it.'

"Arteus, do you have Wizearise?"

"I do." Arteus happily took out a whole bag of them, and gave it to Noah.

"I didn't need this many, but thank you."

"Anything for you."

Noah blushed, and got back to making the summoning circle, flustered.

Arteus put the bag back into his space, and continued to watch Noah. He smiled seeming him(N) so excited.

'He always likes to learn and do new things. If he found out that he was the one to help that person make this, he... probably would be bored again? He never liked to be bored.'

Noah completed all the preparation needed and sat down.

He took a deep breath in, and closed his eyes.

Arteus moved out of the way to help Noah focus more, as his own mana might interfere if he senses it.

Noah slowly mobilised his mana.

The mana was a bright golden-red colour, similar to Noah's eyes. Red mana symbolised fire, at least that was what was believed, until 'someone' proved everyone wrong.

The beautifully coloured mana slowly made it way over to the circle, lighting up the circle.

The Eno husk turned dust, Wizearise, all rose up in the air, circled by the mana.

The Eno dust floated outside of the circle and continued to move in around it. It quickly glowed extremely brightly, and plunged into the summoning circle, disappearing.

That in turn, made the circle even brighter. The wizearise, which were a type of shards, slight rare, were also glowing brightly.

They as well went into the summoning circle and made it brighter. Soon, everything glowed around the room, and you could see nothing but a whit light.

...

The Eno dust and Wizearise were something the spirits loved as they were made from the natural mana, present in the air.

These could not grown or broken easily, instead you had to have a large amount of mana to obtain them. The more natural your mana, the faster you can get them, and the better effects they would have.

Noah had the most natural mana you could ever see. Even dragons would not be able to compare to this.

It was becuase he had purified it, but also becuase of his ability 'Nature's child'.

His affinity to everything in this world will increase to an unprecedented level. Except for those with demonic magic, death aura, or dead mana, which have to be purified by the nature, and so are not completely accepted, he was one loved by every single creature. Even if they did not want to.

The same goes for Victoria, Leanna and Max, the secret guard who always looked over Noah, whenever Arteus could not, the guild members.

Every single person he had met, was completely enchanted by him.

He, of course, did not know.

The circle glowing brightly dimmed down slowly, revealing a figure.

It was tall, and seemed to be wearing flowy clothes, that flutter slightly as it floated.

That, was a spirit.

One which has returned back to it's master.

It was...
