The girl was starting to wake up again. And he was out of sleeping medicine.

He'd thankfully managed to obtain another car and move her into it before she woke up and began screaming for help.

He hoped it would be a while before anyone discovered the old woman, although he thought another couple might have glimpsed him moving Lily to this car.

He glanced at her in the rear view mirror, fully prepared to pull over and tie her up if he needed to.

She groaned softly, and sat up, rubbing her eyes. She strained against her seatbelt for a moment, before collapsing back against the seat, too weak to struggle.

"Where're we going?" She asked him.

He heard the fear in her small voice, and regretted how he'd handled the situation so far.

He was her father, after all. She wasn't supposed to be afraid of him.

"I'm taking you home. To my home, that is."

"Why?"

"We're going to get to know each other."

"Why?"

"Because we are," he snapped, and groaned in frustration when he saw her flinch. "I have some things I need to tell you about Ant- Adrian."

"What's my daddy done?" She asked, her eyes filling with tears. "Doesn't he love me anymore? It that why you took me?"

"I'm sure he does love you, Lily." He replied.

I'm counting on that. That's what will make this so painful for him.

He smiled to himself.

"My name's Rachel."

"No, it's Lily. I'll tell you everything when we get home. Do you like eggs? Scrambled eggs?"

She nodded sleepily, her pretty blue eyes closing again.

He let her go back to sleep, already planning how he would get to know her. He'd missed so much of her life so far; he was going to make up for it.

And he was going to make Adrian pay.
