Chapter 5

Part 4

Flower you never saw• male oc x male reader

The day was coming to an end with the sun setting down. The orange tint that clouds displayed for the whole country to contemplate were elegant like usual.

The kids yelling and laughing from the playground was audible to the whole town like usual.

Mothers purchasing items from the stores like usually.

Everything was just as usual however, Dan not being there to witness this with me wasn't.

We haven't been seeing each other for a week but I couldn't blame him after all.

I was prepared for the worst-case scenario, yet it stings.

He never appeared on my avenue after that day and I realised that he doesn't want me on his so I've been attempting my hardest effort to resist going anywhere near his sight.

My mother forced me out of the house to go catch some fresh air and here I was wandering around the hood, alone.

Summer evenings were motionlessly feverish but at the same time, glamorous.

The birds were chirping as the sun gradually drifted off, scuttling away from the moon.

And that's when I caught a glimpse of him, Dan.

There he stood, 8 feet apart from me.

"Y/n?" he called out.

"Hey, it's been a while" we both walked up to each other.

He was staring at me.

Those ocean eyes observed my every move, making me somewhat timid about how I looked.

Before he could enunciate anything, a tall woman with raven hair that wafted as sweetly as an artist's brush and paint called out to him.

Dan seemed depressed to see her.

The woman appeared to be older than Dan, perhaps around her 20s.

She trotted towards us.

"Who is she?" I asked.

"Excuse me? I'm his girlfriend, who are you?" she spat while pointing a finger out at me.

Girlfriend? I mean, I should have expected it. He's a teenager with everything one could ask for.

I was over the moon for him but a part of me wanted it to be erroneous.

"Her name is Elena" he muttered, "and this is Y/n"

"Oh-my-god that guy?" she gave me a revolted stare.

I didn't know what was going on.

'Should I say something?'

But I decided not to.

"Dan, why didn't you answer my emails or see me? Are you okay?"

"I was kind of bu-"

Suddenly she started laughing, interrupting Dan.

"Why are you so obsessed with him? Are you gay?" she started laughing harder.

I glared at her in disbelief before shortly looking at Dan whose head was held low, not meeting anyone's gaze.

"Say something or maybe don't, I don't want to talk to someone who's attracted to the same gender. If a girl liked me, I would've been grossed out, right Dan?" she looked at Dan, waiting for an answer.

"Shut up, Elena. You're so annoying" he growled before walking away, leaving me and her there.

She glanced me a quick look before running up to him.

I couldn't comprehend anything that had just happened.

I could hear her crying and apologising to him from a far distance.

Before I could notice the tears had started to damp my cheek as I stood there, thinking where we went wrong.
