SWEET EXILE
Harley.
After breakfast and more stolen kisses Mal dropped him off in village center, he then walked through the different streets and roads that make Casterly village until he made it to Casterly registrar, being in wolf exile meant only what he had truly earned by himself would qualify as his and luckily he had planned for it. "Good morning, I have an appointment with Doug Mason." He exclaimed when he stood by the receptionists desk, she looked up at Harley with eyes much like most, lust which raged like a fire.
"Could you please do your job instead of fucking me with your eyes, that's my husband's job." He finally snapped after her gaze had not left him, those who could hear him scoffed and snickered, even though the populace of Casterly were wild spirits, marriage was still held with high regard. "Sorry, you can go in." The receptionist replied knowing any more unnecessary stalling would be bad on her part. Harley walked past her, his usual cold and stoic demeanor had everyone moving away from him.
Doug was a member of the Caster Rielo Pack which he had recently lost the right of alpha to but that wasn't his agenda anymore, he was going to make a new life and finding a new path. "Come in!" Doug called out after Harley knocked on his door, when he stepped into the office genuine surprise was written on Doug's face. "You're, you're alive?" He mumbled the question and Harley kept a neutral face, the other thing about Doug was that he should've stood by his side instead he helped his brother, loyalty could only go so far in the pack.
"Morning Mr. Mason, the Registrar keeps records and documents of Casterly Village, I've recently lost my identification information as you know, from my request earlier and I've come to collect them." Harley stated coldly, Doug seemed to flinch at how cold the wolf in front of him had become, he wasn't a rogue but he wasn't a pack member either and that seemed to have had an effect on him. "Harley, don't be so formal, I'm sorry about what happenedâ." He tried but he couldn't say anymore as the alpha wolf in Harley made its presence known, Doug realized another thing as well, Harley was stronger.
"Give me the damn papers, I don't need your apologies or sympathies you bloody wanker, I just need you to do the job you're apparently paid for." Harley demanded as he looked at Doug, there was definitely fear in the other wolf but he didn't care, he had something to fight for now. Doug immediately got the papers and shakily gave them to Harley. The exiled alpha to Doug had become more ferocious and yet he never lost the touch of a true gent and noble, this was a development the patriarch needed to know of.
Harley walked out of the office seething but once he was outside with the cold slightly harsh wind blowing against his skin he calmed down, he fixed the black coat covering the suit he was wearing, it had been from his mate since he couldn't wear it because it was slightly bigger, to him it fit just right. After the registrar Harley made his way to the auto shop, he needed to get his car off pack territory, it hadn't been bought by Lord Harold's money therefore it was his, he just needed a tow to get it from pack territory to the Roosevelt house.
Once he was done the man had immediately gotten to work, he had expected his payment in check form or other so Harley had told him the transfer would be made later in the day, so he headed to the bank. Blank, ruthless, and cutthroat that's how he had been, no one deserved to see his smile except one, therefore he didn't, all he wanted was to get his life in order and that's what he was going to do. "Thank you Sir Harold for clearing up the mess, we've removed everything joint with the pack accounts and listed you as an individual." The manager of the bank explained and Harley was pleased, a lot of what he needed had been corrected, now he needed to wait a day or two to get his new bank cards but that didn't stop him from demanding cash.
The alpha wolf hailed his cab and gave directions for the only vet clinic in Casterly village, and it wasn't long until he got there and immediately tensed when he could smell another man near his mate, without showing any emotion he stalked in gracefully. "How many times do I have to say this, no, I doing want you, to be perfectly blunt, I want someone else, so please get out." Mal demanded as Mr. Langfield scoffed sitting on the couch. "Do you really think any man couldâ." He stopped midway as a large body occupied the door.
Langfield saw the perfect version of a man he wouldn't mind switching roles for but it seemed he wouldn't be interested in him, rather the sensual vet he wanted to be buried in deeply. "Sir Harold." Mal mumbled as he took in the sight of Harley, he screamed dominant and angry. "Good afternoon, I don't believe we've met, I'm â." Langfield was also cut off by a gaze that terrified him. "Get out, I think you've been told that already." Harley stated with no room for argument or any form of weaseling. "It is getting rather late, I must go, we'll have a chat soon Doctor Roosevelt." He responded heading for the double doors of the clinic.
"Mr. Langfield, if I see you here again, you'll leave in a body bag." Harley warned and the man immediately walked out, there was no doubt he would take the threat seriously, the so called Mr. Harold had his skin uncomfortably marred with goosebumps and his heart beating rather fast. Harley felt rose and earth engulf him, it smelt so good, it washed away his anger. "I'm sorry about him, the bloody wanker wouldn't take no for an answer." Mallory asserted as he kept his arms almost wrapped around Harley.
"Its fine, Langfield has a tendency of being the sin of greed and envy rolled into one, he can't stand not having something, but I'm glad I have you." Those few words from Harley made Mal happy, he felt secure and safe. "I bought you some flowers, and chocolate coated strawberries, I thought it might be better a gift than killing you a deer." He offered with a tease and Mal seemed horrified, he was a vet and his job was dedicated to animals, yet he still ate meat which made Harley wonder.
"You would ruin your suit and also thank you, I don't know how to skin a deer therefore you would've eaten it alone." Mal retorted as he walked to the kitchen. "No kiss." Harley grumbled as he followed, Mal turned around and kissed the man deeply until a throat was cleared. "Please refrain from acting live acts of sexual nature in front of me or the innocent animals." Hildegard announced and Mal headed for the kitchen with a chuckle whilst Harley glared at the wench who had disrupted his guilty pleasure.
"Oh don't glare at me like that, I'm sure you'll get shagged soon enough." Hilda responded as she walked down the hall to check on the animals. Harley walked to the kitchen to find Mal placing the violets in a vase, they looked perfect next to him. "Beautiful, would you perhaps like to go on a dinner date with me tonight?" Harley questioned and Mal's head turned almost immediately. "A date, date?" He quizzed and Harley gave him a blank look. "Obviously yes, but what am I going to wear." Mal replied happily though the last part made Harley chuckle.
"I don't need you dressed up, I need you there, just as you are, beautiful like I always see." Harley interjected and this made Mal happy yet again, he wouldn't worry about what others would think if he wore something that wasn't up to standard. "We are also having lunch together, is it possible for you to clear the rest of your day, I might need help shopping for suits and a new phone, along with other items, I can't exactly stretch out your clothing." Harley added just as Hilda walked into the kitchen.
"I've cleared his day, he's all yours." She announced and Mal's jaw dropped, how had she done it so quickly. After closing everything and double checking, Mal and Harley got into his car, they drove of to the nice and moderately less noisy part of village, but before they had, Harley paid the tow guy who had gotten his car. "How was your morning?" Harley asks placing a hand on Mal's thigh as he drove. "It was alright, I've lived these past years with the same routine over and over again, and with you here I just have something to look forward to, and I know it sounds a bit ridiculous but I'm glad I found you there." Mal expressed with a smile and it made Harley smile too.
Mal wasn't the only one who was now looking forward to seeing him, Harley also looked forward to seeing him, breathing in his scent, being with him, and never letting go, they had just met but it felt like they had known each other for a lifetime and Harley couldn't have been happier with his life, his brother could have the pack, he has found someone to devote himself completely to.
