After nearly a day and a half of traveling, they were finally about to reach Uttarakhand. "Utho! Sab utho!" Prakash called out, rubbing his eyes and yawning as he tried to wake everyone.
The students groggily sat up, their faces filled with irritation.
"Abhi uth jao, station aane wala hai!" he repeated, shaking Krish. "Krish, uth ja abbbbb!" He shook him more aggressively. "Tujhe maine kab se uthaya tha, tu wapas so gaya!"
Krish slowly opened his eyes and yawned. "Sir, so jao wapas. Subah utha dena. Agar dusre station par pahunch gaye toh doosri train leke wapas aa jayenge," he mumbled before pulling the blanket over his face again.
"Krishhh!" Prakash's voice rose in frustration.
"Oi, jaana ho toh jao na! Shor kyun macha rahe ho?" an old man grumbled from a nearby seat, clearly annoyed at having his sleep disturbed.
"Sorry, sir! Sorry!" Prakash quickly apologized before turning back to Krish. He pulled the blanket off him and gave him a light slap on the face. "Oii, uth abhi ke abhi!" Krish, however, ignored him and turned his face the other way.
Prakash sighed tiredly. "Jay, Karan, iska kuch karo!" Then, noticing Yash trying to wake Laksh, he added, "Laksh uth ja bhai, tu Yash se zyada Krish ka bhai lagta hai!"
Laksh stretched, rubbing his eyes. "We arrived?" he asked groggily. "Almost," Yash replied, patting his shoulder.
Prakash shook his head in exasperation. "Isse uthao! Naam Bhagwan Krishna ka hai, par lakshan ekdum Kumbhkaran ke hain!"
"Huh? Aapne bulaya?" Laksh asked sleepily. "Nahi beta, tu so ja," Prakash deadpanned. Laksh was about to go back to sleep when Prakash shook his head. "Kya so ja! Uth!"
Meanwhile, Prakash was still locked in a tug-of-war with Krish over the blanket when Yash suddenly said, "Isha, tum yaha?"
Jay joined in, "Hello, Isha."
The moment Krish heard her name, he let go of the blanket, making Prakash stumble back. Krish sat up excitedly, his face lighting up. "Good morning, Ishu!" he greeted, eagerly searching for her.
But his smile quickly faded when he realized she wasnât there.
"Whereâs Ishanvi?" he asked, looking at Jay and Yash, who were chuckling. When he saw no sign of her, he realized they had tricked him just to wake him up. Scowling at them, he flopped back down and turned to the other side.
Prakash scoffed. "Leave him here."
Just then, Ishanvi actually arrived.
"Isha!" Jay greeted her cheerfully.
"Good morning, Isha di!" Laksh smiled at her.
Krish, still facing away, muttered, "Haan haan, kar le Jay. Ab nahi uthunga main."
Isha frowned in confusion but shrugged it off.
"Isha beta, kuch chahiye?" Prakash asked.
Since everyone is sleeping, without saying anything, Isha mouthed something to Karan. "Earbuds." Karan pointed at Krish. "He has it."
Isha walked over and shook Krish lightly. He pushed her hand away. Frowning, she shook him again. Once more, he pushed her hand away.
Scoffing in annoyance, Isha shook him more aggressively this time. Krish, irritated, pushed her hand away with more force, making her stumble back. "Kya hai tujhe, Jay? Tere paas dimag nahi haiâ" He froze mid-sentence when he saw Isha standing there instead.
"Isha?"
"Haan main! Aur mere paas dimag nahi hai? Huh? Dekhne se toh lagta hai ki aapke paas nahi hai!" she scolded him. "The station is about to come, and youâre still sleeping!"
Before he could respond, she snatched the earbud case from his seat and walked off.
Krish quickly tried to stop her, but she ignored him and kept walking. The others burst out laughing.
Krish glared at them.
Prakash patted his shoulder mockingly. "Krish, tu soja beta." Krish furrowed his eyebrows at Prakash. "Kya sir, jaldi nahi utha sakhte the." He scoffed as he climbed down the seat with sulky face.

Everyone is heading to the bus from tye station with their suitcase dragging behind them, Karan stared at a distance where Anaya stood with Manav discussing something. "Yeh Manav-jati ek din pitegi meri hath se."
When Krish approached him. "Karan." Karan turned towards him. "Umm... Where's Ishanvi?"
"With Rhea and Kriti, over there." He pointed at a distance. Krish nodded, heading towards them as Kaamini halted him. "Hey Krishhh!" She greeted, extending his name with a smile on her face.
Krish nodded and was about to walk past through her when she held his forearm, stopping him. "Krishu." Krish made a face at the nickname she called. Krishu?
"Please help kardo." She pouted as she struggled to dragged her suitcase and a heavy bag hung behind her back.
Krish let out a quite sigh, glancing at her suitcase and the heavy bag she was struggling with. As much as he wanted to ignore her and walk away, he couldn't. His manners and nature wouldn't allow it.
"Fine." He muttered, glancing at Isha who was busy talking with Rhea and Kriti as he reached for the handle of the suitcase.
Kaamini beamed. "Thank you, Krishuu."
Krish glared at her but didn't said anything and started walking towards the bus. Unaware that Ishanvi is just after him, walking now she is beside him, he looked at his right side and saw her.
He was about to talk to her, as Kaamini spoke coming on his left side. "Is my bag heavy, Krishu?" Ishanvi heard it and looked at his hands, one held his bag while other held Kaamini's.
Krish closed his mouth when he saw Isha's expression, she rolled her eyes and walked ahead of him while Kaamini glued to him.
Krish stayed back helping Prakash in putting bags inside the bus while others headed inside the bus, Kritika went up and saw Jay sitting alone with his gaze outside the window and his bag kept on the another seat.
She went to his seat, lifted the bag, settling herself beside him and kept his bag on her lap. As Jay felt someone presence beside him, he glance over and saw her, without saying anything he again turned his gaze outside the window.
The battle of not talking and teasing each other is still on going.
When Rhea climbed up, there were less seat left, one beside Isha, other Kaamini and Yash. She looked over and saw Kriitka and Jay sitting beside each other while giving silent treatment to each other Meanwhile Karan and Anaya sat together, Karan had grumpy expression on and Anaya was trying to talk to him but he would rather reply with hmm or nod.
She sighed, shaking her head, heading towards Isha. Just ahead of Isha, sat Kaamini who put her bag on the empty seat beside her, Rhea rolled her eyes, muttering. "Kamini."
She went to Isha, who smiled cheekily and mouthed. "Pleasee.. Krish will seat."
Understanding, she nodded and went to Yash, who looked at her and asked. "Would like you to seat on the window seat?" Nodding enthusiastically, she replied. "Yesss."
Yash shifted on the another seat from the window seat, moving his legs out, creating space for Rhea to move inside. In little, Rhea took slow and little steps as walked inside. Once she sat, she beamed. "Thank you!"
After a while, Krish came but almost all the seats were taken except for beside Kaamini's and Isha's. Isha looked at Krish with hope that he would sit beside her, Krish smiled thinking Isha left a seat for him, that also beside her.
With a huge grin, he walked towards Isha but was pulled by two hands, he looked beside and saw Kaamini holding his forearm. "Krishu, sit beside me." Isha's smile fell as she glared at Kaamini.
"But-" Krish opened his mouth to speak but was cut off when Isha spoke. "Aye, Kamini!"
Krish and Kaamini both looked at her with surprised expression. "What did you just said?" She asked, scoffing. Isha gritted her teeth. "I said Kaamini let him seat where he wants too."
"He wants to sit beside me." Kaamini blurted. "I never said that." Krish said, confused.
She turned towards him, digging her nails in his arms making Krish hissed in pain. "He will sit over here." She declared, turning her face from Isha and holding Krish arm, not letting him move. Sighing in defeat, he gave a apologetic look to Isha, whispering sorry.
Ishanvi scoffed, looking at Krish, folding her arms she leaned back on the seat with a sulky expression as Manav walked in and found one seat empty, beside Isha.
With a polite smile, he asked. "Ishanvi, do you mind if I sit here?" He pointed at the seat. With a forced smile, Isha shook her head, taking her bag in her lap.
"Yess." Krish replied, turning around.
Manav raised his eyebrows. "I didn't asked you Krish."
"Still, she minds if you sit over there." Krish grumpily replied.
"Krishna Mehta." Isha called. "I don't and it would be better if you keep your mouth shut and mind your own business."
"But listen to me-" Isha meddled in between when Krish spoke. "I don't mind him sitting over here but I mind you speaking, Krish." Isha narrowed her eyes at him.
Krish opened his mouth to speak but closed when Isha turned her face away. Manav awkwardly looked between them and slowly sat beside Ishanvi, without making any sound while Krish glared at him.
"Kya hain?" Manav asked, when Krish was constantly glaring at him. Krish was about to snap but at the same time Isha looked over, making him shut his mouth and turned around.
After a while, the bus started, driving through forest as some students slept since it was late night while some students gossiped. Kaamini kept bringing new topic, just to keep Krish engage in conversation while he kept giving her dry reply, showing his disinterest but she didn't seemed to care much.
Just behind them, Ishanvi and Manav were also engaged in some conversation. As Isha laughed out loud, Krish felt uncomfortable. After some time, she laughed out again with Manav, Krish turned around irritatedly. "Manav, chup hoja ab. Kitna hasta hain tu irritation ho rahi hain ab."
Ishanvi didn't left the chance to snapped at him. "Kya problem hain aapko? Aap Kaamini ne sath haso na, maine roka?"
"Tumhe bohot maze aa rahe hain is Manaviya se sath?" Krish gritted his teeth.
"Haan, aa rahe hain. Koi problem?" Isha replied, angrily. "Why don't you turn around and talk to Kaamini." She extended her hand and tapped Kaamini's shoulder who was watching their drama. "Kaamini, continue your conversation and make sure he don't interrupt again."
Kaamini cheekily smiled, tugging Krish who turned around with a frustrated face and closed his eyes, listening to Kaamini's talk and from back Isha's and Manav's.
As time spent, the excitement slowly died and tiredness took over the students, most of them fell asleep. Krish felt little relieved when he saw Manav was sleeping, but got irritated when Manav's head kept falling on Isha's shoulder.
He wanted to stand up and push away Manav from her but he couldn't since Isha was awake and her eyes were piercing him, even if he tried to make a eye contact with her, he couldn't.
He sighed and leaned back on the seat, closing his eyes. Soon, his eyes shot open when he felt someone touching his shoulders, he glanced at his side and saw Kaamini sleeping, her head resting on his shoulder. He lightly pushed her away with his finger without waking her up.
After few seconds, he again felt her head on his shoulder and he pushed her away again, this thing happened for quite a long time.
Krish glanced at his side to see if she was falling again, yet again she was. So this time, Krish stood up making her fully fall on seat, waking her up while Krish pretended to check his bag which was kept up.
Kaamini opened her eyes by the sudden jerk, she felt embarrassed since Krish stood up, instead of leaning on his shoulder, she fell down. She looked at Krish, who playing with his bag zip.
Clearing her throat, she adjusted her posture. Suddenly, the driver hit the brake, making Krish loose his balance and almost fell, but luckily he balanced himself and many students to wake up. The bus stopped, the driver said something to Prakash and other teachers, all of them climbed down the bus.
Couple of minutes passes, none of them came up. Out of curiosity, students peeked from the window. "What happened, Ma'am?" Ishanvi asked.
"Bus kharab ho gayi hain." A reply came from outside, making students groaned in frustration.
Being the head boy, Yash started his duty. He gently layed Rhea's head from his shoulder and stood up, heading down with Krish following him and soon many students also left the bus, making it empty.
Kritika stood up and woke Rhea up. "Let's go down." She said as Rhea slowly opened her eyes, unaware of what happened.
Soon, the whole bus was empty and students were wandering on the road, which was surrounded by two forests from both the sides. Prakash sighed in frustration. "The place, we were supposed to go is still the route of three hours."
"Now?" Students asked, frustrated.
"Since we are in middle of forest, garage wala bhi nahi milega." Priya said, making students tense.
"Network bhi slow chal raha hain." A student stated. "But look, we have a hotel 8 km far, it will take approximately two hours to walk."
"No wait, we are not walking." Prakash denied. "Mujhe pata hain tum log kitni masti karte ho aur yeh rasta safe nahi hain."
After couple of minutes of waiting, suddenly a bike pulled up from nowhere, stopping near the bus. "Kya hua?" The man asked, his tone kind.
"Humari bus kharab ho gayi hain aur hume jaha jaana tha vo idhar se 120 km dur hain." Prakash replied, sighing.
"I suppose there's a garage nearby, it is Somewhat 20 km far and it's that way." The man pointed at the opposite road from where they were heading.
Prakash and other teachers discussed and agreed to go with the man to call the mechanic, Priya mam and Jayesh sir stayed behind while Prakash sir went with the man.
Krish suddenly spoke. "Let's do one thing, Let's walk till the nearest hotel and tomorrow morning we will leave."
"And what about Prakash sir?" Priya ma'am asked.
"Sir is adult, pretty sure he can come alone." Krish beamed as he received a glare from Priya and Jayesh laughed at him.
Half and hour pass, no sign of Prakash and the mechanic. When other students spoke. "Ma'am Let's do what Krish said, Let's go to that hotel and rest."
"Inform sir that we are leaving and ask him to come directly at the location and it won't trouble you both too since we are less students." A girl said, leaning on her friend's shoulder.
After hearing request from all students, Priya and Jayesh agreed on their demand. Jayesh left the message to Prakash and agreed to go.
"Are we really supposed to walk 8 kms?" A boy asked, pulling his luggage. Priya nodded, making him groan. "Can't we take a lift from someone? It will be easy."
"No we can't trust strangers over here." Jayesh warned them.
"But we just trusted a guy with the garage thing." A student opposed. "Sir don't worry, we will look for bus."
They waited for few minutes, many less vehicles. Boys stood in middle, trying to stop them but none of them seemed to stop. "Yeh ladko ko dekhte hi gadiya nahi rukhti." Rhea scoffed.
"Ek kaam karte hain hum khade reh jaate hain." Isha said, flipping her hair.
"Look, none of them are to stop and we are wasting out time. We would have cover half of the route by now." Kritika said, rolling her eyes.
Agreeing with Kritika, everyone started walking. Yash and Priya leading them whereas Jayesh walked at back, making sure none of the students are left behind.
Krish saw Isha walking alone, he took the opportunity and went to her. "Hey Ishu!" He walked up to her, she looked at him, giving him a small smile before turning her gaze.
"Should I carry luggage?" He asked, offering to help.
"By any chance you want to become a coolie in future?" Isha asked, her eyebrows shot up.
"What?"
"I mean you quite interested in carrying luggage, so I thought you want to pursue becoming a coolie in future." Isha explained, a forced smile spread across her face.
Krish faked a laugh. "I just want to help you, only you."
"No need, I can carry it and the one who is in a need of help is her, look she is coming." She signaled to Kaamini who was walking to them with a big grin on her face.
"Krishuuu!" Krish rolled his eyes.
________
Prakash came back, he furrowed his eyebrows when he saw only the bus driver sitting over there and everyone missing. He thanked the man who helped him, the mechanics went to check the bus.
Prakash approached the bus driver. "Where's everyone?" The driver looked up from his phone. "They went to the hotel."
He scoffed, hearing his words, taking out his phone. He dailed Jayesh's number. After three rings, he picked up the call. "Prakash, where are you?"
"The place where bus is." He replied. "And where are you all? Hotel? Without telling me."
"What do you mean Without telling you? I messaged you, check your phone." Jayesh replied.
"I checked there's no message." Prakash gritted his teeth.
"Wait." Jayesh said, his voice fainting. "Oh sorry! I sent the message to another Prakash." He laughed.
"Now how am I suppose to come?" Prakash asked.
"By walking? God has given you two legs." Jayesh taunted. "I mean we also came by walking."
"Are you really a teacher? You need to be responsible for all the things, what if something could have happened to the students, you know how dangerous this place is."Â Prakash scolded.
"I know being a teacher is about responsibility, all the students are teenagers, somewhat mature. So don't worry, everyone's fine and they have being assigned the rooms." Jayesh rubbed his palm over his face. "Do one thing, stay inside the bus. Come tomorrow when bus is fixed." Prakash rolled his eyes at Jayesh words.
_______
Prakash sighed as the hotel finally came into his view, he called Jayesh. "Hello Jayesh, come down." His luggage being dragged by him.
"What?" Jayesh's voice sounded tired.
"I'm at the hotel, come down now." Prakash said, walking inside the hotel as the staff greeted him.
Jayesh groaned on the other side. "Didn't I asked you to stay on the bus."
Next morning, Prakash sat on the sofa in the reception, a scowled spread on his face when he saw students coming down whike laughing and talking. Jayesh sitting beside him, rolled his eyes seeing Prakash.
"Everyone!" Prakash roared. Everyone turned towards him. "Who asked you to come here yesterday night?"
"Krish!" Everyone said in union while Krish's jaw fell hearing his name.
He scoffed. "Me? I just gave a idea which Priya mam declined then you all were the only one who started crying to go to hotel since you all wanted rest." He folded his arms.
"Krish ne bola aur tum sab ne maan liye." Prakash huffed. "Who is he? India ka prime minister? Just because voh tumhari yeh chhoti si mandli ka leader hain toh tum sab ne uski baat maan li."
Everyone looked down while Krish was still in disbelief that how everyone put the blame on him when everything agreed together.
"Yash? You also? You are the head boy." He turned towards Yash, who looked down. "I'm sorry, sir."
Jayesh stood up, resting his arm around Prakash's shoulder. "Chill bhai, we are on trip and you are here giving bhasan to the students, let them live and enjoy for once."
"But-"
"No but, Prakash sir." Priya said. "Apna gussa shant kare aap aur baccho ko enjoy karne de. Aap puri trip pe baccho ko thoda bhi daato ge nahi."
Prakash was about to say something but got cut off by Jayesh. "Students, put your luggage in the bus, it has arrived and Prakash Sir has forgive you, so chill and enjoy."
Hearing the words by Jayesh, the smile returned to everyone's face and the excitement returned, everyone stood in line and started saying sorry to Prakash as they passed the hotel's door.
Krish stood with a innocent smile on his face. "Main aapse kshama chahta hu, Acharya." He joined his hands, bowing.
Prakash, in return gave a smack on his head.
