accident two: live
Accidentally - JIKOOK ✓
"Army are asking you Jungkook-ah, about your face, is it okay now?" Namjoon read from the comments directing his attention to Jungkook and looking at the spot on his jaw where Jimin accidentally punched him.
"Oh yeah. It's okay now, Jimin hyung even kissed it better." Jungkook rubbed his jaw and joked, referring to Jimin joking around with him the day before but mostly it was because Jimin felt so guilty for hurting his dongsaeng.
They all chuckled, Jimin forced a laugh and nodded.
Taehyung grabbed the tablet from Namjoon to read the comments. "Oh my god army keep saying Jikook." he squealed.
"Oh, what else?" Jimin asked trying to engage a little more in the live they were doing, since he was quiet for the majority of it.
Taehyung scrolled through the comments. "Kiss it better now." He automatically read but then regretted it a second later. He didn't want to make it awkward for his two team members, or at least one of his team members.
Taehyung had known about it for years now, it was actually pretty obvious, or just to him, after all Jimin was his soulmate and they could read each other like an open book, and if not, Jimin couldn't lie anyways, not to Taehyung, and so he tried to brush it off as a joke just to save the situation and at the same time to stop what he knows is about to happen from happening. "Ahh army are so funny, aren't they." He tried.
But Hoseok being oblivious to what Taehyung knows: "Kiss it better! Kiss it better!" He chanted and Taehyung mentally face-palmed. He didn't want Jimin to get rejected, he remembers his soulmate going to his room at night not being able to sleep from the amount of overthinking he did about all those moments when Jungkook indirectly rejected him. Whether it was putting him in the brother zone or just innocently treating Jimin as nothing more than a brother or a friend, Taehyung couldn't stand the thought of his friend going through that feeling of rejection over and over again hearing Jimin say 'it hurts Tae. When he doesn't look at me that way. When I can't control how I feel and knowing how he doesn't love me the way I love him, It hurts.' broke Taehyung's heart, and don't get him started with their drunken nights out when they had their occasional two weeks or more break.
What made things harder for Jimin was the fact that he had a close relationship with Jungkook, they had an undeniable chemistry, and they hang out together every chance they got, and day after day it was getting a lot harder for Jimin to conceal his feelings for Jungkook, still he couldn't help but have a small hope, just a tiny bit, that they might be together one day.
But Jungkook saw him as just a friend though.
Just when Taehyung thought it couldn't get any worse it actually did.
Next thing he knew all the members but him and the pair kept chanting "Kiss it better! Kiss it better!" and Jimin wanted to give army what they wanted.
It's not like he wanted it too, right? Right.
It all happened too fast.
When it did, Jimin actually wondered if these series of accidents would just keep happening to them.
Jimin leaned to kiss Jungkook's cheek, just like he did the day before. Only now they were in front of their friends.
Oh, and about a hundred thousand more watching in anticipation.
Jungkook was laughing at his hyungs, and he turned to look at Jimin to laugh with him as always and pass it off as a joke, not knowing the older's intentions of doing what all of them wanted -well maybe all of them except Jungkook himself- and kissing his cheek.
And you can guess the rest.
You can't? Well, Jungkook turned to look at Jimin at the exact same time Jimin closed his eyes and leaned in to kiss Jungkook's cheek, and ended up..
Yeah.. kissing Jungkook's lips.
Right in front of thousands of people.
Live.
For the entire world to rewatch later.
It was terrifyingly silent, until Jin imitated Jungkook's "Oh man, holy shit." and the live was ended by Namjoon's quick thinking.
Jimin couldn't deal with the situation, he swore he has never been this embarrassed in his twenty four years of living, add that to the fact that he still hadn't moved from his position, he looked up at Jungkook making brief eye contact, the younger's eyes were slightly dazed, and once Jimin realised their close proximity he bolted.
They did the live in the living room anyways, so it was pretty easy to find a room where he could just lock himself and maybe never get out of for the remaining years of his life, and his feet took him to Taehyung's room.
Well, at least he didn't get rejected this time. Taehyung thought.
Jungkook still couldn't process what happened, so Namjoon patted him on the shoulder, that's when he came back to reality. "Huh? You turned off the live hyung?"
"Yeah I sorta panicked and the live would have gotten awkward anyway." He reasoned, none of them had kissed the other before -accidentally or not- and he figured it was bound to get awkward of course.
"Why, hyung? It didn't mean anything, right?"
Taehyung actually face-palmed this time. "You idiot!" He snapped, Jungkook was so damn oblivious to the point that it annoyed Taehyung.
"What did I do?!" Jungkook whined like a little kid, Taehyung didn't want to expose Jimin, it wasn't his secret to tell, and he also couldn't let this situation get any worse, and well, if Jungkook found out about Jimin's feelings for him it shouldn't happen like this. "Hey, where's Jimin?"
"He went to his room you idiot, did you travel to another dimension or something?" Yoongi having had enough of this, snapped. Yoongi -of course- had known what was up with Jimin, because as much as he was quiet, he was observant, but he never let on what he already knew, and instead chose to let everything unfold the way it should.
"He must be embarrassed. I feel bad for him, should we go talk to him, Tae?" Hoseok asked. He didn't like how they were joking around a moment ago and now they're all like this, but it was nothing serious anyway. They might be awkward around each other for a few days and then it will pass, right? He thought.
Wrong. Jin thought. He didn't really read Hoseok's mind but that wasn't what he thought. He sensed a weird vibe, but he wasn't sure what it was about.
"Okay let's go. You guys stay here. We don't want to make him more embarrassed." Taehyung put his arm around Hoseok's shoulders, and they walked to Jimin's room, finding it empty. "Oh! Where did he go?!"
The rest of the members heard Taehyung and came running "What's wrong? Where's Jimin hyung?" They looked in his bathroom, under the bed, even in his wardrobe, when Taehyung went to call Jimin, thinking that he left the dorm. He went to get his phone from his room and found the door locked.
"Guys, I found him." They all came rushing in the hallway asking Taehyung where Jimin was. "He's in my room, and the door is locked. He must be embarrassed enough to do that. Why don't you guys go do something, and I'll try to get him to open the door for me, and talk to him?" Once again he was trying to save the situation and convince the members that it wasn't a big deal, so they won't worry or think the kiss meant more to Jimin than it should.
Yoongi, having caught on was the first to agree with Taehyung, so he pulled Hoseok with him to leave. Jin and Namjoon looked at each other shrugged and walked away, leaving Jungkook and Taehyung standing in the hallway.
Jungkook was so confused. He still hadn't processed his feelings since the moment he felt Jimin's lips on his, so he was still standing there; his arms dangling and shoulders slumping like a baby who didn't get his daily dosage of candy. The candy being Jimin. "Hyung, don't you think I should talk to him?" He didn't know why but he had the urge to talk to Jimin, to say what? He didn't know.
"Of course, Jungkook-ah," the younger's eyes sparkled "Just not now, wait for a bit until he calms down." And the sparkle was gone.
"Okay hyung, just tell me when he's ready to talk to me." He said, and walked away shoulders still slumped.
"Now, open the door, Jimin-ah" Taehyung whispered.
he knew Jimin enough to know he was leaning on the door listening in, Taehyung heard the door being unlocked so he opened the door and walked in.
Not knowing the youngest was still around the corner.
