The Backstory On My History Teacher (teacherxstudent)
For the life of me I couldn't think of how I truly went from dropping Hayden off to then dreaming the rest in class. I knew for sure I had dropped him off in his car, that much I knew for sure. And I know Sean had come and picked me up, that was evident from my call log and messages. But had I not worn his jacket home with me? Had I really just imagined that whole damn scenario in my head?
Yes... yes I had.
"You okay Dash?" Rose asked me as she put her curling iron down and gazed at me with worry. I hadn't said a word to her since class had ended and the reality of my situation had hit me.
I sat down on my bed and sighed. "I've fallen into his terrible spell like every other girl..."
"Oh sweetie," she came over and hugged me, "you're not the only one. There's plenty of guys around here."
"But I was so convinced..." I trailed as my mind finished, 'that he liked me! Everyone had said he did!'
Rose seemed conflicted on what to say to console me. It was a moot point, I don't even know why I had bothered with teasing him after class. Gosh I was being so childish!
"Just ask him Dash, all he could say is no?" She simply replied.
"He might think I'm crazy, I don't think..."
"Forget about the illegal shit, this is driving me crazy seeing you change all of a sudden for a teacher and it's only been two weeks! You have to find out for your peace of mind and mine as well. I don't know what happened while you were at his place or in class today, but clearly something did."
"This is why you're my best friend," I hugged her tightly.
"I know," she hugged me back. "I need to go to the library and help a friend of mine with one of our class assignments. I'll catch you later?"
"Sure," I smiled and decided to reply to my grandparent's email.
Loading up my inbox, I saw another email from them already asking how I was doing and if I had attempted to do a load of laundry yet. That brought a smile to my face as I urgently replied and reassured them that I had and it turned out successful.
"Send," I clicked the button and saw another email had popped up in the meantime while I was typing.

Miss Watkins,
I would care to know more about what had supposedly happened between us last night... care to elaborate?
Sincerely,
Mr. Blaze
P.S. this is my personal email, I don't believe the school email would appreciate me typing this out.
Sighing, I tried to think of anything else last night that seemed true. There had to be a way for me to string him along into thinking we had done something... well what if we had and I just couldn't remember? Surely I would since this was my history Professor I was talking about!

Mr. Blaze,
Surely I am not the only one who remembers the details from last night. I admit, it was very entertaining to see a different side of you (the drunken side I might add). However, I'm pretty sure I bumped my head at some point while taking you to your house and leaving. So bits and pieces of the memory are fuzzy as well.
Sincerely,
Dasha
If he wanted to play games to see what had really happened, then I was in. There was no way I would let him win the satisfaction of knowing what went on before I had my story first. Another ping lit up my computer screen as I eagerly read the next email.

Subject: Q & A
4:23 pm
Miss Watkins,
It appears to me that we are both at a disadvantage at the moment. Might I suggest we either cut to the chase via email or possibly meet up and discuss this? I don't feel like battering about the other just to get the information that one needs. Plus I do have papers to grade and you have homework to complete might I add. What do you say?
Sincerely,
Mr. Blaze
I rolled my eyes and decided to reply back immediately. He did have a point, but I wasn't about to budge, at least completely that is.

Mr. Blaze,
I'm pretty sure I will finish my homework before you even begin one of the horrendous papers you had assigned us. I agree to your idea of meeting up someplace to discuss this matter as long as it is off school grounds so no one overhears the conversation. Just name the time and place and I will meet you. And might I add again that I deliberately asked you to call me Dasha, for my sake.
Sincerely,
Dasha

Subject: Time & Place
4:33 pm
Dasha,
My apologies, I will work on that. As for the time and place, I can pick you up from the coffee shop that's on the corner of the University and we can go somewhere else. See you at six.
Hayden
I leaned back from my chair with a satisfied grin on my face. Victory! Glancing at my closet, I knew I needed to continue this little charade and dress to impress. Nothing too provocative but something for him to notice me in like when at the club.
'Not everyone is perfect,' my mind chattered back to me. But what flaws did Hayden possibly have? As far as I could tell and see, he was a flawless God!
"Perfect," I grinned at the grey top I slid on and adjusted in the back. It had a corset type design in the back so it revealed quite a bit of my skin in the middle and tied at the bottom. The front was tight but still bunched in the front like a bikini top almost. Then I pulled on some dark washed skinny jeans and some grey laced pumps that made me about two inches taller. Who said I couldn't dress up a little bit?
I stood against the wall of the coffee shop while waiting for him to arrive. It was a few minutes before six and my body had gone into overdrive. Surely some of last night was real... regarding the forehead kissing and whatnot, my body had been too responding for it not to be. Right?
"Dasha."
I sighed when I heard his voice and looked up to see his eyes piercing into mine.
"Mr. Blaze," I regarded cooly and followed him towards his car.
"You look..." he fumbled for words and tried not to make it look inappropriate that he had been caught staring. Yet again.
I was beaming on the inside and out as he went with, "gorgeous." Yes! I was winning!
"Thank you," I slid into his car and shivered at the thought of how I had literally driven his car the last time I was here.
Hayden slid in flawlessly and pulled out onto the street without a word. The radio was on a football sports station, another clue into the mysterious life of this beautifully sculpted man.
"I figured we would just go back to my place," he began softly, "if that's alright with you?"
"Fine," I stammered and cleared my throat, "that's fine with me."
Shit! Get yourself together Dasha, I told myself.
"Well that answers some things already." he parked in his driveway before coming over to my side and opening the door for me. I wanted to swoon as I got out, he was such a gentleman!
Hayden closed the door behind me and unlocked the front door with ease as I stepped into his home for the second time. It was the same as I remembered it and I didn't hold back the shiver that ran through me.
"Would you like anything to drink?" He was standing a little too close behind me as I gasped.
"Um... if you have any tea I would love that," I answered as he stepped away from me.
The static was still running through me as I made my way into the kitchen with him and sat on a stool. Wordlessly, I watched him move about the house and saw how comfortable he was outside of school even.
'Why are you so good looking?' I yelled inside my head as he quirked his eyebrow at me and I froze. Had I just said that out loud?
"I don't have iced tea but I do have some bags, if you want to choose from that," he slid some packages over to me that were in a ziploc bag. Holding back a grin, I flipped through and chose a mandrin orange flavor.
Hayden handed me a tiny pale blue cup and saucer as I dipped my bag into the scalding water and heard him grab the seat next to me.
"So," he began.
"I guess we should start from the beginning, and then fill in where the other forgets?" I suggested with all thoughts of trying to tease him leaving my mind. This was just too damn hard!
"Okay," he sighed and stroked his chin thoughtfully while looking at me. "So obviously I was drunk when I found you."
"Yes," I replied and tried to hold back a giggle at how sexy he had still been while in that state.
Hayden gave me a funny look, "what's so funny?"
"Nothing," I replied quickly. "I know you told me to drive you back and handed me the keys. Sean was to go with me until we saw your car was a two seater. So he left,"
"And he kissed you on the forehead," he murmured softly as I gaped. He did remember that.
"Yes," I spoke softly back, "and then I brought you home once you told me the address."
"Then what," he breathed as I took a long sip of tea to hold my nerves together. Either he was getting closer to me or I was being paranoid.
"I brought you inside the house and you fell asleep on the couch. I thought you might be more comfortable upstairs so after you took some painkillers I followed you upstairs."
"To my room," he sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. "And then?" His voice came out pained.
"Well you were apologizing for the situation and eventually got into some different clothes."
"I'm pretty sure, I called you beautiful in the dress, but I remember you leaving with a jacket."
"I believe Sean switched jackets so that way I could remain covered."
"Right... Nothing else happened?"
"Not in reality if that's what you're asking..." I spoke quietly.
Hayden pinched the bridge of his nose, "I've heard enough. I don't want to know what else happened."
"I don't believe anything else happened after that Mr. Blaze," I murmured as he didn't move from his position. "Anything else would've been in my dreams."
"I'm sorry for the way I reacted, then and now," he murmured.
"Now?" I questioned. What had he done at this moment? Aside from listening to me embarrass myself in front of him endlessly and reveal where my mind had gone during his class.
"Dasha," he sighed and looked at me with a look of what seemed to be longing. "Do you realize how frustrating it is for me to see a woman who's stunning and beyond compare and to know that she's my student?"
Wait what? My mind went fuzzy as I tried to take another sip of my tea but ended up just nearly spilling it.
"Mr. Blaze, I," I began.
"Hayden," he corrected and I gasped. Damn.
"Hayden," I said and wanted to moan at the fact of how his name sounded in my mouth. "You realize this... power you have over all the females at the University?"
He frowned, "yes, but it doesn't seem to work on all of them."
"Who would be stupid enough to not," I began and gaped, "you mean me?" Talk about Deja Vu.
He scratched the back of his neck and looked at me again. "I mean, you may find me attractive, but it's like I repluse you or something."
"Um..." I stammered, where the hell was he coming up with this? "I can promise that that's not the case... but why does it matter?"
He leaned in closer and stroked my bottom lip with his finger, "do you realize the hold you have over me?"
"Me!" I squeaked as my stomach knotted up and I felt the air leave my body. Was he drunk again? Was I dreaming? Maybe I was just the rebound while he drank away his sorrows for Missy leaving. There was no other logical explanation for his current behavior.
"Dasha, I'm trying to be honest with you," he sighed and placed his hand on my cheek. "You don't understand... when I saw you at the vending machine, I was floored. Then when I saw you in class... I couldn't get you out of my mind. You're the most... no words can even compare to how beautiful I find you."
"I'm not dreaming again am I?" I asked as he looked at me funny.
"Why would you ask that?"
"Because...." oh man was I about to admit this to my Professor, "that's what I was talking about earlier. The rest of what happened was in my... dreams."
He held his breath, "what exactly?"
"I had come to your place to drop off your jacket, and you kissed me." I held my breath as he brought his hand down from my cheek. All these mixed signals were driving me crazy!
I sat up straighter as he seemed to look conflicted about something. Maybe this was my cue to go, neither of us had any idea what was going on with the other.
I slid off the stool and went to dump my tea into the sink. Right as I turned around, arms wrapped around my waist and brought me close to his muscular chest. Hayden!
"You don't know how bad I want to kiss you," he murmured into my hair.
"What's stopping you?" I whispered so softly, unsure if he had heard me.
He brought my face up to his, "the fact that we could get caught."
"We won't, like you said in your history class. People are always trying to find a way to break the odds and whatnot."
"It's immorally wrong," he whispered, his green eyes pained with grief. "However I'm impressed you remembered something from class."
'I literally remember every detail about you!' my mind screamed at me.
"How? Because you just got dumped? The age gap of six years? The way you've been looking at me since the first day of classes? Push aside all the academic and social stereotypes and it isn't," I pleaded and lifted my hand up to his cheek and gently felt his smooth skin.
"Dasha," he breathed and bent his head down as his lips touched mine.
**I promise this time it's real... or is it? As Harry Styles would say**
