33. The Wedding
You Are Worthy
So beautiful...
It was what Han Xin thought, seeing Meng Huo in the red garment. His fair skin made such a delicious contrast to the blood red fabric and the wooden hair slide on his half bun gave the prince the sense of possession. That lovely man was his, and his only.
Similarly, Meng Huo was also in awe, seeing Han Xin in a red garment which had two golden wolf imprints like his. Meng Huo knew Han Xin preferred masculine colors like black or gray, but red was definitely his color, highlighting his well-defined body.
"You are so beautiful," the prince whispered into his husband-to-be's ear when they sat side by side in front of the long table.
In the face of the compliment, Meng Huo blushed and his eyes sparkled with love. Leaning towards the prince, he said "you also look so good in red."
"Ah damn," Han Xin snorted in disappointment, "how much do we have to sit here? I really want to stay alone with you."
Being an eternal naive, Meng Huo didn't understand his remark, so he just chuckled and said "it is our wedding, of course we have to sit here until the end of the ceremony."
Han Xin sighed, but still managed to put a smile on his lips as the royal family wished them happiness.
During the merry night, they followed the wedding traditions, doing what they had to do, and after Han Xin tied the familiar jade around Meng Huo's sash, the ceremony ended.
With a huge grin, Han Xin said goodnight to his family and took his half-drunk husband to their room. Originally, they had to get ready for the night in their respectable rooms before meeting in the main bedroom, but after drinking that much, Han Xin didn't want to hand his beloved to the maids for the preparation.
"How do you feel? Do you want some water?" Han Xin asked concernedly as he made Meng Huo sit on the bed.
"I am fine," Meng Huo replied, looking up at Han Xin with his flustered cheeks and the temptation was too much for Han Xin's poor heart.
"Good, then I can do this," Han Xin whispered sexily before crashing his lips on Meng Huo's inviting ones.
As the latter was already in a daze thanks to the booze, he went with the flow and started kissing his husband with full passion. Feeling his enthusiasm, Han Xin grabbed his nape and deepened the kiss. His tongue sneaked into Meng Huo's sweet mouth and explored each corner fervently. When he was done, his lips moved down from his mouth to his chin before reaching on his neck.
Meng Huo moaned sweetly and encouraged by him, Han Xin slid his hand inside Meng Huo's loosened garment, but his movement broke the smaller man's daze. With panic, he pushed Han Xin away before slipping on the floor, his hands tightly clenched on his garment.
"What's wrong, Meng Meng?" Han Xin asked with concern as he crouched down in front of the panicked man.
"D-Don't look at me!" Meng Huo said with fear lacing in his words. He lowered his head as he swallowed a sob.
"Meng Meng," Han Xin gently put his hands on his trembling shoulders, "you are my husband now, you can share all your distress with me."
Hearing the softness in his voice and feeling the warmth emitting from his touch, Meng Huo calmed down a bit. After a long silence, he said "I am ugly... I don't want you to see my body."
"What?!" Han Xin was appalled, "Meng Meng, there is no way you are ugly, you are the most beautiful person in my eyes," he tried to convince his husband, but he was adamant.
"You say it because you didn't see my body."
"Then show me," Han Xin tightened his hold and pulled the other up and made him sit on the bed again.
Meng Huo wasn't convinced fully, but he let Han Xin do what he wanted. Sooner or later, he would see it anyway.
Sensing his silent permission, Han Xin slowly got rid of his sash and peeled the upper garment off his body.
What a terrible sight it was!
Meng Huo's whole upper body was covered by a myriad of wounds... some small, some big... some shallow, some deep... some smooth, some rough... some of them overlapping... As he never received a proper treatment, the scars were imprinted on his body forever.
"Now tell me, do you still think I am beautiful?" Meng Huo asked with a low voice, seeing the prince was looking at his body with an agitated expression.
With his bleeding heart, Han Xin raised his hand and trailed down a deep scar on his chest, "it must have hurt a lot."
Not expecting such a reply, Meng Huo was taken aback slightly. He held Han Xin's hand on his chest and asked "don't you find it disgusting?"
"Disgusting?!" Han Xin exclaimed in horror, "Meng Meng, how can you think like this? These scars are a part of you and accept you as a whole. You are the most beautiful man I have ever seen and I feel so lucky to have you in my arms."
Brimming with happiness, tears welled into Meng Huo's eyes, "really?" he asked, thinking it was too good to be true.
"Yes," Han Xin said firmly, then he held Meng Huo's arm and started to kiss the scars one by one, not omitting any of them.
Meng Huo's breath hitched and his eyes widened. Being shocked to his very core, he sat there like a statue and let Han Xin kiss his scars softly. When the prince reached to his shoulder, he looked up to his beloved man and saw his eyes were glazed with love. Smiling, Han Xin lay Meng Huo on his back and climbed on top of him. Then his lips continued from where he left and moved to his collarbone before trailing down.
All went well until Han Xin's avid lips reached Meng Huo's abdomen. As the smaller man had never experienced such an intimate moment in his life, he got scared by the pleasure he felt. Suddenly, his body got tense and Han Xin felt he went into panic mode again.
Damn, I overdid it, he scolded himself mentally as he reluctantly removed his lips from Meng Huo's addictive body. He took a sitting position, hoping his erection was not very obvious, and gathered his small man into his arms.
"It is okay, I won't continue until you are ready," the prince soothed him as he covered him with the quilt.
"I am sorry..." Meng Huo apologized, hiding his face on Han Xin's chest and his cute behaviour atoned for Han Xin's disappointment.
"I told you it is okay, we have all the time in the world," the prince replied and kissed his husband's soft hair, "for now, just let me hold you like this and try to sleep, you should be tired."
Swiftly, Meng Huo raised his head and stole a kiss from Han Xin's lips, "I love you so much," he said with love-filled eyes and the other beamed.
"I love you too, Meng Meng," Han Xin replied sweetly and held his husband tight.
Finally, the bad days were in the past and nothing other than love and happiness was permitted in the couple's room...
