Jimin's POV
I woke to a cold wind on my back, making me shiver and rattle my chains as I curled in on myself. My back side ached and my head hurt so much due to what happened roughly two days ago.
I closed my eyes and let out a shaky breath as I realized I had been here for almost a week now, still with no rescue from Jungkook, or any sound from the mind link. I shivered again as a strong wind rattled through the shed.
After I gained enough consciousness, I looked down at my chains and glanced at how far they went, noticing they were attached to a small, rusted ring in the middle of the floor. Looking back up at the locked door, a plan formulated into my head.
Quickly, I sat up, using almost all of my strength, and faced the rusted ring. "Come on, Jimin. Do it for Jungkook." I whispered as I wrapped the chain-link hand cuffs around my wrists, holding onto it tightly.
I scooted closer to the ring and with all of the strength I had in me, pulled as hard as I could. I could feel my teeth grinding against each other and every muscle in my body straining as I pulled and pulled.
The metal ring was not budging in the slightest. Out of options, frustration, and desperation, I closed my eyes, and prayed to the moon goddess, grasping on any thread of hope.
With one more teeth grinding pull, the ring snapped, sending me flying on my back with a groan as I heaved up and down, trying to regain some sense of strength and breath.
Wincing, I sat back up and raised my wrists to my face. They were bleeding from the strain of the metal against my skin, but I was more focused on the fact that I wasn't chained down anymore.
My breathing quickened, the realization washing over me, buzzing with adrenaline, as I scrammed to my feet with a sore ache in my body and rushed to the door.
The door had been wound tightly with chains. There was definitely a lock, or locks, holding it all together on the outside. I grabbed the hole cut out for a missing handle and tried to pull, hoping this would give in as easily as the ring would.
I cried out in anger, letting go of the door as I looked around for some sort of backup plan. I burst into tears, I had no plan B, there was no way I was getting out.
Looking up through tears stained lashes, I glanced down at the straw under me and sniffled, watching as the cold wind blew in underneath a tiny crack at the bottom of one of the wooden wall panels of the shed, and made the straw shift underneath, kicking up dirt below it.
Dirt.
I gasped out loud. There was the dirt ground underneath the thick straw flooring of the shed.
My hands were in the ground before I could even think properly as a flurry of black and brown earth was flung into the air behind me, some of it burying itself so far in my nails that they ached, but I kept going until a hole presented itself before me.
I panted heavily as I looked at my work, but the sound of footsteps approaching made my heart beat out of my chest in sudden panic.
I quickly shoved all of the loose dirt back in its place and shuffled some of the hay over it to make it look normal. Then I hooked the broken chain back onto the ring.
Covering all the traces of the escape plan, I went back to the middle of the room and placed myself in a position where it looked like I was still chained up, asleep.
I steadied my breathing as the door flung open, almost making me flinch as I knew it was Donghae who had come into the room.
"Get up." He growled, grabbing my bicep and pulling me to my feet.
I whimpered but stood reluctantly as he made me look him in the eyes.
"I can tell something's off. I think your big bad mate is coming, but I don't know. None of my scouts have said anything, but I can tell something isn't right here. So I'm going to keep you company, just in case something decides to happen." He flung me back onto the floor with such a force, I felt one of my lower ribs snapped.
I cried out a guttural scream, pain flooding my system as Donghae shut the door and sat in a corner, avoiding my eye contact. I cried, grasping my side as it felt as though someone was stabbing me with a burning hot knife, over and over again.
"He's going to murder you!" I spat in agony and pain, making Donghae growl and look away. And for a second, I thought I saw fear pass over his eyes.
Suddenly, he rose with wide eyes and stared at the door. I cried weakly as I held my side before Donghae rushed over and picked me up quickly, only making me scream again in pain at my rib being moved.
Facing the door, he held me with my back against his chest, with one arm wrapped around my stomach and the other hand grasping my jaw tightly, tilting it at a painful angle.
The door burst open, revealing Jungkook in the frame.
All I could do was stare.

Jungkook's POV
We watched as the enemy scouts sniffed the air, obviously sensing something.
I turned my head and looked at the three men beside me, giving a swift nod with my head to tell them to go towards the one on the left. They bowed their wolfish heads and took off quietly, starting the attack. The others on my right soon followed after my signal.
Taehyung and I stared at the clueless enemy just a few yards before us, looking out in alarm.
On my go... One, two, three, go.
Taehyung and I stalked forward, though it wasn't easy to get any further as my jet black fur stood out instantly, making the enemy wolf noticed us.
I could tell he was trying to use his link, but found no avail as we rushed forward, attacking him quickly and efficiently taking him out before he could make a howl.
Taehyung stood behind and nodded to me as I continued on, Jimin's scent stronger than ever.
I followed the scent with a strained nose until the shape of a rugged shed appeared in the distance. Looking in all directions for any sign of security, only to find none, I continued on.
I heard a sharp cry and a sudden pain in my side, making me and my inner wolf whimper as we quickly connected the dots to Jimin.
I shifted into my human form quickly, and grasping my side at the feeling of something I had gotten too often as a younger boy; a broken rib.
I swiftly put on the sweatpants which I was carrying over my naked bottom half, as I get closer and closer to the door of the shed.
Jimin's cries were as clear as day and my heart broke for the sound. Without a moment's hesitation, I kicked the door of the shed down, revealing the sickening sight of an extremely thin and malnourished Jimin in the arms of my enemy - Jimin's neck shoved at an odd and painful angle.
I realized immediately what Donghae was doing, and I quickly stuck my hands out in an attempt to ease the situation.
"Easy, Yang." I growled lowly, my eyes trained on the red and sopping wet eyes of my mate.
"Don't come any closer or I'll do it." Donghae threatened, stretching out Jimin a bit more, making him cry out.
My mind was in a jumble, and my heart was at my throat, but I kept my face emotionless. "We have you surrounded. If you're trying to use the link, it's no use. We poisoned the water with hemlock. Give up." I warned.
Donghae just shuffled nervously. "I'll let him go if you give me your land, Jeon." Donghae reasoned with angered eyes. I shook my head, taking a small step forward.
"Jungkook, don't." Jimin whined softly.
I kept my eyes locked onto his and gave him a slow, reassuring nod. "Donghae, release Jimin right now, and we can discuss everything." I said calmly as I took another small step forward.
"Take one more step and I'll do it." He growled, getting more defensive and tense.
I raised both of my hands up in the air, "Ok, just let go of Jimin, then I'll give you whatever you want."
"Jungkook," Jimin pleaded in a whisper, tears rushing down his face as he shook his head slightly.
Donghae chuckled, and started laughing hysterically, he spoke with something dark glistening in his eyes, "Awww isn't this cute? What a sweet moment! You are willing to give up everything for him, while your pretty mate here, on the verge of death, is still thinking of you."
I swallowed, unsure of how to respond. Donghae's lopsided grin looked more and more unnatural and sinister.
"Well, now that I think about it, I don't really want your land anymore."
I lunged forward, just a second too late as Donghae buried his teeth into Jimin's neck, not to mark him, no, but to shift him.
He dropped Jimin to the floor as I hit him square on the face, blacking him out cold with one strike and his body tumbled like a sack of rocks to the floor.
"Jimin!" I screamed, dropping to my knees as I picked up the writhing boy in my arms.
He was shifting, and I could feel it too. Didn't know what to do, I quickly called through the mind link for reinforcements.
Taehyung was at the door by the time Jimin's first bone broke to take a different form. He screamed bloody murder, tears rushing down his face as his terrified eyes stared into mine, trying to find some sort of comfort in my arms.
"What's going on!" Taehyung yelled as five others rushed inside, grabbing Donghae and carrying him out.
"He's shifting!" Another sickening crack filled the room, accompanied by a pained scream, "We need to get him back as quickly as possible!" I cried, holding him tightly in my arms as I also battled the excruciating pain he felt.
"Jungkook, help!" Jimin wailed desperately as he choked on another sob, another bone cracking inside.
He passed out in my arms as more bones popped from regularity. I winced but rushed outside, determined to get him home before he died in my arms.
