things never happened like I imagined them

This is a lesson I had to learn the hard way. Coming from someone who was kinda spoilt with things working out, I had a few set backs later which almost broke me. I think it's important to always keep in mind that even if something isn't working out the way you wanted it to,  it might turn out to be even better than the things you had planned before.
