Vishwanath handed the keys to the owner, giving the rented house one last look before stepping outside. Before heading back to Bundelkhand, Vishwanath also resigned from the textile factory where he was working in disguise . He didn't let anyone know about his true identity, quietly leaving without any fanfare. It was bittersweet to part ways, but he knew it was time to return to his real life.
A rickshaw waited just beyond the gate, and without hesitation, he slipped inside, directing the driver toward the outskirts of town. The weight of leaving behind the simplicity of his life as Veer hung heavy on his mind, but he knew this moment had to come.
The rickshaw ride was a bumpy one, but Vishwanath barely noticed. His mind was consumed with thoughts of Kashi, her shy smile, the innocence in her eyes, her determination to support her mother despite all odds. Everything about her tugged at his heart, making him want to turn back. But he couldn't. Not yet. There were responsibilities that awaited him, matters that needed his attention.
When Vishwanath finally reached the outskirts, his driver was waiting beside the gleaming Rolls Royce that Raghavendra had sent. The car gleamed with luxury, and the driver, an older man with salt-and-pepper hair with years of loyalty to the Singhania family, bowed deeply as Vishwanath approached.
"Good morning, Sahab," (Sir) the driver greeted, opening the door for him.
Vishwanath nodded with a warm smile as he approached his Rolls Royce. "Good morning, Ram kaka. Aap kaise ho? Aur apke ghar par sab kaise hain?" (Good morning, Ram kaka. How are you? And how is everyone in your family?)
Ram kaka straightened up, his face lighting up with respect. "Main theek hoon sahab, aapke aashirwad se sab ghar par bhi theek hain." (I'm doing well sir. Everyone at home is fine too, all thanks to your kindness.)
Vishwanath nodded in acknowledgment and slid into the backseat of the Rolls-Royce. The plush leather seats were familiar, the smell of wealth and luxury surrounding him. But even as the car started its smooth journey toward the city, all Vishwanath could think about was Kashi. She was a part of him now, whether he wanted to admit it or not.
The Rolls-Royce sped smoothly towards the city, the landscape changing from rural simplicity to urban grandeur. Soon, the towering Singhania building came into view, a gleaming skyscraper that stood as a symbol of their empire. It was one of the tallest and most opulent buildings in the area, with glass panels that shimmered under the sun. The Singhania family had built this empire with hard work, intelligence, and unyielding determination. And now, they were on the brink of expanding it even further to the world with this new project.
As Vishwanath entered the building, everyone stood in respect, seeing their boss after a long time. Employees greeted him with bows and nervous smiles. The air buzzed with an almost electric energy-the king had arrived.Though the employees were momentarily taken aback as he was still dressed in the casual clothes of the commoner Veer. It wasn't every day that they saw their Boss dressed so simply, without the usual formality that accompanied his presence. A few exchanged glances, curious and surprised, but they quickly averted their eyes, returning to their work as if nothing unusual had happened. The aura of authority that Vishwanath carried was undeniable, regardless of what he wore.
As he made his way to his private elevator, Vishwanath couldn't help but notice the slight tension in the air, a clear indication that his unexpected appearance had made an impact. The air in the office changed the moment he walked in, a sense of authority settling over everyone.
Without pausing, Vishwanath strode straight to his cabin. His private office was a testament to luxury and power. The dark wooden desk, the leather armchairs, and the large windows that overlooked the city made it a perfect place for conducting business. There was a personal room attached to the office where he could refresh himself during long days. Today, he took a moment to change into his three-piece suit. The dark navy fabric accentuated his sharp features and commanding presence, making him look every bit the king he was.
As Vishwanath adjusted his cufflinks, the door to his office opened, and his younger brothers, Raghavendra and Rudra, walked in. Raghavendra, always the more serious one, smiled as he hugged his elder brother, while Rudra, the mischievous one, clapped Vishwanath on the back with a grin.
Bhaiya, kaise ho aap? Aur apki trip kaisi thi?" (Bhaiya, how are you ? And how was your trip?) Raghavendra asked, his tone filled with concern.
"Main thik hu Raghav aur Trip bhi acchi thi," (I'm fine Raghav and the trip was also good) Vishwanath replied, as the memory of Kashi flashed in his mind, causing his heart to flicker .
"Bhaiya, apne uss fraudster ko pakad ke bohot accha kiya. Varna humari company ko kafi nuksan ho jata." (Bhaiya, you did well catching that fraudster. If not, our company could have suffered significant losses.)
Listening to Raghavendra, Vishwanath was reminded of Ravi and the injustices he had inflicted on Kashi. The thought of such a man being called a father made him feel a surge of disdain. Vishwanath just hummed in response, his mind lost in contemplation
Rudra, never one to miss an opportunity to tease, raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Bhaiya, mujhe toh shak hai ki aapne iss trip mein humari bhabhi ko dhoond liya hai, bas hume batane ka time nahi mil raha," (Bhaiya, I have a feeling you've found our bhabhi during this trip, and you just haven't told us yet) he quipped, making both brothers chuckle.
Vishwanath shook his head, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Tum phir shuru hogaye Rudra.Tumhara mazak kab khatam hoga?" (You again started Rudra. Will your jokes ever end?)
But the word "bhabhi" echoed in Vishwanath's mind, and all he could see was Kashi's face. How could he tell his brothers that he had indeed found their bhabhi on this unforgettable trip!
The three brothers shared a light moment, the weight of their responsibilities briefly forgotten. But as much as Vishwanath enjoyed their banter, Kashi's face kept appearing in his mind.
"Chalo (come on), Let's focus on the work" Raghavendra said, bringing them back to the present. The meeting was about to begin, and it was crucial for their company's future.Vishwanath nodded, though the weight in his chest hadn't lessened. It was time to focus on business.
The conference room was filled with top executives, including international investors who had flown in for this important discussion. As the meeting commenced, the investors began pushing for more shares in the project. But Vishwanath's sharp mind was ready for them.
"Mr. Singhania, we believe that with the increased risks, we should be allotted a larger share of the profits," one of the investors stated confidently.
Vishwanath's gaze turned steely. "I understand your concerns, but our company has invested significantly more in terms of resources and manpower. We are not just handling risks, we are also ensuring the success of this venture. The terms will remain as discussed."
The investor pressed further, but Vishwanath's calm yet authoritative demeanor never wavered. With precise logic and a deep understanding of the market, he turned the discussion in his favor. By the end of the meeting, the investors were left with little choice but to agree to his terms. Vishwanath's intelligence and cunningness were well known in the business world, and today was no exception. He had ensured that Singhania Industries would remain at the top, while also significantly boosting India's economy with this project.
As the meeting concluded, Raghavendra patted his brother on the back. "Well done, bhaiya. This project will take us to the next level for sure."
Vishwanath nodded, but his thoughts drifted back to Jhansi, to Kashi. While he had succeeded today, there was still unfinished business in his heart.
Meanwhile, back in Jhansi, Kashi had just returned home after her shift at the textile factory. It had been a tiring and gloomy day, made all the more difficult by the absence of her Veer ji. The house felt empty without him, and every corner seemed to remind her of his presence. Veer ji used to come around this time to meet Kashi and her mother, she thought, glancing at the clock. The absence of his familiar knock at the door left a void in the day, a lingering reminder that he was no longer just a few steps away.
The day had been gloomy, and Kashi found herself constantly checking her phone, hoping for a message or call from Vishwanath. She knew he had mentioned an urgent official matter, but the silence from his side still left her restless. Every passing minute without hearing from him seemed to stretch longer, and she couldn't shake off the feeling of missing his presence, even though it hadn't been long since they parted ways.
Anjali, noticing her daughter's downcast expression, asked gently, "Kya baat hai, Kashi? Tum itni udaas kyun lag rahi ho?" (What's the matter, Kashi? Why do you look so sad?)
Kashi sighed and sat down next to her mother. "Veer ji ko wapas jaana pada, maa. Kuch urgent office ka kaam tha "
(Veer ji had to go back, Maa. There was some urgent office matter) she said, trying to keep her voice steady, but the sadness was evident.
Anjali placed a comforting hand on Kashi's shoulder. "Beta, ek din toh Veer ko wapas jaana hi tha na. Uski bhi toh family hai, zimmedariyan hai Bundelkhand mein". (Beta, one day Veer had to go back. He has his own family and responsibilities in Bundelkhand as well.)
Kashi nodded, understanding her mother's words, but it didn't make the ache in her chest any less. After a moment of silence, she got up and decided to freshen up before starting dinner preparation. Anjali watched her daughter with a mixture of worry and hope. She prayed silently for Kashi's happiness, knowing that her heart was slowly becoming entangled with Veer's.
