Chapter 5
The Fae's Chance
Thomas's POV â¤
He looked more intimidating then he did at school, though that might be because my perspective had changed. His new persona, as scary as it was, was kinda hot. It was like some fifty Shades of Grey aura.
Why did I have to be attracted to the wall that's kidnapping me. Why couldn't he be ugly? Then I wouldn't be checking him out. If he noticed, he at least didn't bring it up.
Who am I kidding he has been staring me down this whole time.
"Come on. Your parents will be here in a few minutes. Then we can talk." He nodded his head towards the door, indicating that he wants me to walk on my own.
I was still too scared to move. Staring at him seemed to be the only thing I was able to do at the moment. It was like he had me in a trance. He reached a hand towards me to help me up. I was grateful for it, but at the same time it made me hate myself.
I'm so weak, that I have to rely on my kidnapper to help me up. How pathetic. The little voice in my head thought. I knew it was right. What kind of person highlights the fact their kidnapper is attractive. I'm such a disappointment to humanity.
We walked through the broken door and I could finally see what a mess the house was. My door was "dead" and in pieces on the ground. As I look around, the more I see that my room was completely torn apart. Furniture knocked over, the used to hang pictures are on the floor, and the clothes are just spewed all over the place. It looked like a hurricane hit my room.
That wasn't even the worst of the house. Downstairs looked like we got robbed. Everything that was mine was taken, and everything else was against the wall. How do you even cause this much damage in 20 minutes? I just don't understand.
"What the hell happened h-here?" I tried to questioned. All of them just ignored me. I was just a shadow to five people, and it's starting to get on my nerves.
"I. Asked. You. A. Question." I gritted out. I did slowly to make sure they caught the memo. But alas it went over their heads.
Who the hell do they think they are? I will not be ignored.
I did the last thing I could think of to catch their attention; I sang the most annoying song I could think of. Baby shark.
My singing voice isn't the best so I butchered the whole thing. It didn't even help my cause. All it accomplished was them putting tape over my mouth and pushing me down on the floor. Not to mention the monster headache the stupid song gave me.
The front door's knob started to wiggle. Then it was unlocked and in popped my parents. I don't think I have ever been so glad to see them before in my life. I pushed away from my attackers and ran to hug my parents.
The look they gave me made my heart drop. They looked at me like a family member just died. Well not so much they it was more my papa. My dad looked conflicted, like he didn't know whether to be proud, protective, or angry. Let me tell you, his steel blue eyes looked scary when angry.
"What the hell did you do to my house?" He scolded the men who broke into our home. I chose to ignore the fact that it sounded like he knew them.
Ohhhh, look who's in trouble now.
"You weren't supposed to be here this soon." He continued. This threw me for a loop. Why is he talking to them like he knew them. Then he mumbled "You weren't supposed to be here this soon." He said it so quiet I almost didn't hear him.
"I'm sorry I couldn't wait." Mr. Greek God said. "I just wanted my kitten by my side."Â He glanced at me through the corners of his eyes.
Hear what? Don't tell me he actually heard my dad say that.
"Why are you h-here?" Since my parents were here I thought they might give me answers.
They all stared at me, most with wide incredulous eyes, but one look caught my eyes. Ears looked amused.
"Quiet love, the adults are speaking" with a wink he added "and don't think I will forget this later." That made my parents look even more on edge than they already were. You could almost see their minds running.
"Are you positive that is your mate?" One of the "extras" said. Then proceeded to point over at me. He didn't even have the balls to look at me while he said that. He looked straight at Ears the whole time.
"I'm positive" he responded. Then turned to my parents and said "We will be leaving now. Say your goodbyes and get all the tears out so I don't have to deal with them later."
Extra 1 and 2 let me up so I could run to my parents. I hold no shame over it, I've been wanting to do this all day. Then for the first time since I was nine I cried. I was bawling, I didn't want to go. My parents cried right along with me.

I was put in a limo. I am proud to say that I didn't go down without a fight though. I clawed, kicked, punched, head butted, ect. One of the extras might be missing an eye after this encounter. That was probably my proudest moment of today.
Looking around the limo, I saw that the windows were too dark to see out of, and there was a giant wall separating me from the driver. It was most likely like that so I wouldn't be able to find my way home. I tried to keep track of the turns but it got too hard after a while. Lastly I wasn't the only one in the seat.
Lovely. I wonder if I can claw his eyes out as well.
Ears sat the whole time staring at me ,also known as being a nosey asshole, and looking bored. Well, I can't really say bored, it was more like a poker face.
If he won't say anything then neither will I.
The declaration only lasted about 2 hours. Sitting down was starting to hurt. Then my bladder started to make itself known, and I don't appreciate peeing in bottles when we could easily pull over. If by chance I can convince him to pull over it would be my chance to run.
"Umm... m-mister?" I said to try and get his attention. It worked.
"Yes?"
Here's my chance.
"Can we s-s-stop somewhere? I need to go to the b-bathroom, and stretch my legs." I rushed through the last part so he wouldn't say 'no' right away. I knew he was going to, before I put the last part in he had a scowl on his face and opened his mouth.
He looked to be thinking it over. A smirk found its way to his mouth as he analysed me. He seemed to be looking for the telltale sign that I was lying. It seemed like he had something up his sleeve.
"Why of course, love." Sighing in relief I smiled up at him. Though my relief didn't last long. "But, only if you answer all my questions honestly, and don't interrupt me tonight when I explain what's happening."
That sounded like a trap. Thinking about it I decided that answering questions couldn't be that bad. He knew my address, my parent's names, and probably my name already so what's the worst that can happen in the department. Though if all goes well I will have escaped and went to the police before he could ask any other question.
I nodded my head.
"Words darling." He pushed. I think he just likes watching me squirm.
"I-I agree." Stupid stutter. I had a really bad stutter when I was little, and my parents sent me to speech therapy. I used to stutter every word. I don't stutter too much around people I'm comfortable around now, unless I'm scared or nervous. Around new people I stutter all the time unless I'm angry.
"I'll tell the driver to pull over at the nearest rest stop. But if you so much as look at another person, I will drag you right back to the car." He growled out the last part.
He growls a lot. Why?
"Okay. I p-p-promise." I said with my fingers crossed behind my back (yes, I am just that childish).
After what felt like forever we pulled into a rest area. Of course Ears followed me, so I wouldn't back out on my promise. However, if there's a will there's a way. I just need to find my way.

A/N:
I swear the story line will get better, and we can learn more about the Fae after this chapter.
Also I will out up character pictures next time I upload. I haven't been describing the characters to in depth cause I wanted you to make the image up yourself so it won't be the end of the world if you don't look at them.
I hope you are having a perfect as perfect can be day :)
