Chapter 6

Rosalind's POV

*Two years later*

I pet Alphas grey wolf as we sit in the woods. He's a really big wolf,

biggest one I've ever seen. Its probably because he is the alpha. His

wolf then stands up after awhile and I get on his back so we can go

home. While he runs through the woods I hold onto his soft fur.

I like alpha as a wolf. I feel like he is my pet, but I like him even better

when he's not a wolf because he's cute.

When we reach the pack house he slows down and soon stops, letting

me get off. He goes behind a tree and shifts back into a person before

walking back out with pants on and picks me up, setting me on top of

his strong shoulders.

He walks over to a few men talking and joins them, while I just sit on his

shoulders and look around at how different everything is from up high.

"Who's the little girl?" One of the guys ask and I turn my head to look

at him.

"I'm not that wittle!" I answer sassily.

"This is Rosalind Smith." Alpha says chuckling.

"That Damon's daughter?" Another guy asks.

"Yea." Alpha answers again as he takes me off his shoulders to hold me

in his big arms.

"She's a little cutie.” Another man says smiling. I hear a tiny growl

escape from alpha's chest as my ear is pressed against it.

He always growls when people call me cute or anything, its funny and

makes me laugh.

"How old are you cutie?” The first guy asks.

I hold up my hands showing that I am six.

"You know I have a son around the same age as you, his name is Ace.”

The same man then says.

"Should get you two to play together sometime.” He adds smiling.

One of the guys chuckle and says, "Never know, they could even turn

out to be mates!"

Alpha then just turned to walk away, as the guy said that, and he heads

into the house. He carries me in his arms all the way to the part of the

house that I'm not supposed to be in, at least that's what mommy and

daddy say, but alpha says I can.

He goes into the room that have the big wooden doors before he sets

me on the floor and he sits down behind a desk. I walk over to him and

crawl onto his lap before asking, "What's mates?"

He looks at me and smiles, "Mates are when two people are made for

each other; they are each other's other half." He pauses and puts a

strand of my hair behind my ear.

"They can feel each other's pain, love, happiness, and sadness. And they

protect each other, they would do anything to keep their mate happy

and safe.”

"Even if wit meant getting huwt?" I ask, he nods his head yes.

"And mates love each other forever, when one dies the other feels as if

they died as well.”

Alpha sets me down off his lap and kisses my hand, "Now go play, I

need to work." I turn around and run to the door before stopping and

turning to look at alpha.

"Have you fouwnd your mate?”

"Yes I have." He says smiling a wide white smile.

"Oh." I say before walking out. I wish I had a mate, I wish alpha was my

mate, but he already has his. I walk out of the meeting hall and into the

living room to see my mommy talking to Alexa's mommy. I run to her

and she picks me up off the ground.

"Mommy are you and daddy mates?" I ask her, she looks at me with a

surprised face before answering

"Yes, why?"

"I want a mate.” I say pouting.

She laughs, "Honey, you will find your mate one day when you are

older, right now you are too young."

"I want to fwind my mate now though.” I tell her as she sets me back

down on the floor.

"You could probably have already met your mate, but you won't know

you're mates until you shift when you turn 16." She says giving me a

smile before I leave her and go over to Alexa to play.

After dinner later today, I sat with daddy in his a mommy's room.

"Were you with Alpha Clayton this morning?" Daddy then asks me, I

nod my head yes while I play with my new teddy bear I got from Alpha,

this one is grey like his wolf and I named her Snow.

"How'd you know?" I ask daddy. "I can smell him on you." He answers.

"Mommy was telling me how you want to find your mate.” He then

adds and I look at him.

"I already fouwnd my mate.” I tell him and daddy growls slightly.

"You found your mate? How?"

"Mommy said I probably already met my mate, but I don't know who it

is until 1 shift."

"Oh." he sighs. "Alpha fouwnd his mate," I say pausing,

"Which makes me sad because I wike him."

"Wait, what? Alpha Clayton found his mate?" Daddy asks surprised.

"Yea I asked him and he said he did."

Daddy gets up and is just about to walk out of the door before

stopping and looking at me.

"Darling, you shouldn't be sad that Alpha found his mate, and you

shouldn't like him. He's a grown man and your Alpha." He says before

walking out of his and mommy's room.
