I woke up around 8am, finding Net still sleeping away in my arms. I leaned in to kiss him gently and he stirred awake, smiling softly at me.

Net turned towards me, burrowing closer to my chest. "Morning baby.." I muttered a little tiredly.

"Exhausted?" Net teased cheekily.

"Abit hard not to be tired after the wild night I had. I just wish I could lay here the whole day with you in my arms."

"Not possible na. Teresa alone is enough to ruin that."

Just as I was about to laugh, we heard knocks on my door followed by Teresa's voice asking us to get ready for breakfast! I looked at Net who just burst out laughing. We got out, showered, changed and then headed down for breakfast but a little separately.

Over breakfast, my dad looked at me.

"Jes.. I think you need to settle this issue with Kyunn. What she did yesterday was unacceptable and especially towards Net. What does she want?"

I filled my parents in on what happened. The anger that my dad felt was on a whole new level. I had never seen him this angry before. He slammed the table as he said he would handle it.

I tried to step in and retort. Even Teresa did but my father just told us that no one was going to make a cuckoo out of his son and he wasn't going to stand by and watch it either. He said he will settle it and told me not to worry.

I just nodded, knowing my father was on a rampage and I couldn't stop him. He hardly got angry but when he did, it was impossible to stop him.

My mom just patted my hands comfortingly knowing I had gone through a lot on my own and her heart was aching for me.

But I assured her. "Teresa and Net have been there for me alot Mae. Don't worry. I'm not entirely alone."

She nodded, thanking Net softly. He just smiled and nodded his head. My father just looked at us quietly but didn't say anything. He then tried to make conversation with Net.

"Are you seeing anyone Net?"

"Uhm.. yes I am."

"She must be a very lucky girl. You are such a nice guy. For a while I thought you were dating my Teresa. But guess it isn't."

Net was silent, not saying a word. He looked at my dad after a while.

"Actually uncle, I'm not seeing a girl. I'm actually seeing...."

'A woman Pa. He meant to say woman. He's not a teenager anymore Pa. Saying he's seeing a girl sounds so teenager like.." I cut in smoothly. I wasn't really sure on how my dad would take to hearing that Net was seeing a guy and I didn't want to take the risk, given that he had just calmed down from getting angry over Kyunn. My dad just laughed nodding his head and apologising to Net.

I turned to Net but I knew I had messed up when I saw his cold look in his face and Teresa's pissed off face in the background. My parents started clearing the table and Teresa helped, leaving me and Net at the table.

"Net.."

"I get it if you don't want your dad to know I'm seeing you.. but you shouldn't have made the decision for me on whether I'm seeing a girl or guy."

"Net.. I just didn't know on how my dad would take to it so I didn't want to ruffle any feathers."

"I wasn't going to mention your name at all. But you just decided that I couldn't even tell your dad my preferred orientation."

Shit. I realized I had screwed up.

"Net... look I'm..I am.."

"Save it Jes. I will go back first."

Before I could say anything, Net upped and left; quickly informing my parents that work came up and he had to go. They nodded, bidding him goodbye. He left without telling me anything.

Teresa came out of the kitchen and stared at me.

"You really can be an idiot, aren't you?"

I messed up real bad. Fuck my life.
