Spurred on by Jes's words, I let loose and pulled him closer to me, fisting his shirt tightly.

I didn't kiss boys often, but it didn't mean I didn't know what I was doing. Jes's lips were not just curved beautifully but also soft and plump. He moaned slightly into my kiss as I wrapped my hand around his neck, holding it tightly.

Jes's hands went around me, one firmly on my waist and the one cupping my face. He stroked my jawline as I kissed him, the kiss becoming harder by the minute. We finally pulled away, our lips swollen, hearts throbbing and definitely dishevelled hair on his part.

He looked at me, his eyes softening at seeing my face and just leaning his forehead on mine.

"Are we still really behaving like friends?" I asked softly.

Jes just shook his head no. He sighed softly as he pulled away from me, stroking my cheek absently.

"I... my heart has been wavering for a while now. Ever since you said you are there for me. It kept playing in my head like a loop, then us bonding over that dinner. The effort you put in getting me a new phone. The way you fiercely protected me in front of Kyunn and how you calm me down effortlessly. I like you Net. I... I have never dated a guy..and neither did I ever think I would fall for a guy.. but I realized it's not so much about the gender..but the person.. I like you Net. And I hope we can.. we can give this a shot?"

"You didn't ask me if I like you too, P?"

Jes glared at me!

"You did not just call me P! Not after kissing me like that!"

I cheekily grinned at him.

"Kiss you like how?"

"Are you playing dumb!"

Jes growled at me as I laughed. I wrapped my hands around his neck as I leaned in.

"I like you too a lot, Jes. Let's give this a shot. Please."

Jes nodded, smiling, his eyes portraying the same joy as his face did.

"Shall we get ready for bed?"

"Dont you want your birthday present?"

Jes looked at me blushing.

"I do. But my parents are also here. Maybe we can book a staycation..one day?"

I stared at him dumbfounded.

"Jes. Sweetie. Honey. Baby. I have a present for you in my bag. What are you thinking of?"

If he could crawl into a hole, Jes would have! He blushed so badly, realizing his mistake!
