Cemented Legacy

Blood of the Dragon[on Hold]

Trigger warning: Attempted rape

King's Landing

Alicents chambers

For the past few weeks, Alicent was thinking about Rhaegon and what her life would be like if she was only a few seconds earlier when her father sent her to the crown prince. She needed to tell Rhaegon that Aemond was his son, but she promised Rhaenyra that she would honor Laenas wish for Rhaegon to find out for himself.  Her thoughts were interrupted when Ser Criston entered the room.

"Your grace. Something has happened on Dragonstone." Ser Criston said.

"Tell me." Alicent urged.

"Prince Rhaegon has been injured. Stabbed by an assassin." Ser Criston said.

"Is Rhaegon alive?" Alicent asked.

"I cannot say. His son, Corwyn, plans to leave on his dragon along with Jacaerys and Lucerys." Ser Criston said.

"Where is Aemond?" Alicent asked.

"I do not know, your grace." Ser Criston said.

Alicent breathed heavily. "Have a ship readied. We will sail to Dragonstone."

"Of course, your grace." Ser Criston took a few steps closer. "There is more..."

Dragonstone

Cerelle Lannister was on her third orgasm as she was riding her husband.

"It's safe to say I'm a dragon rider as well." Cerelle moaned.

"As long as you see me as the dragon." Daemon said. He groaned and finished inside her. Cerelle leaned down to kiss him, and Daemon happily returned it. They felt a the room shake a little. "What was that?" Daemon asked.

"I... I don't know." Cerelle climbed off her husband and covered herself with the sheet.

"Only one thing can do that in this island." Daemon looked at his wife. "Find Joanna."

"Where are you going?" Cerelle asked.

"To be a dragon." Daemon smirked. He then got dressed and left the room.

Chamber of the painted table

"Help! I need help!" Aemond yelled as he brought an injured Rhaegon with him.

"What happened?" Rhaenyra asked.

"He wad stabbed... an assassin." Aemond said. "He's breathing, but he's not waking up."

Daemon looked at the knife that was still halfway in Rhaegons stomach. "That's because the aim wasn't to kill him."

"I don't understand." Rhaenyra said.

"When I was in Essos, I heard of many elixirs and poisons." This yellow liquid stood out the most to me. "It's a hallucinating drug that makes you see what you want to see for a short time, but when entered in the blood, it becomes the most dangerous weapon I've ever seen." Daemon said.

"The purpose is to make Rhaegon mad?" Viserys asked.

"Yes. The longer he's unconscious, the worse it will become." Daemon said.

"How do we make him conscious before the poison does its work?" Aemond asked.

"I don't know." Daemon said.

"Take my son to his chambers." Viserys said. "Call on maester Gerardys." Daemon and Aemond took Rhaegon to his chambers, and Rhaenyra stayed with her husband while Rhaegon was tended to by maester Gerardys.

Daemon waited in the chamber of the painted table with his wife when Ser Lorent walked to them.

"My prince. I bring word from Claw Isle." Ser Lorent spoke up. "The Cannibal has left his cave and is burning everything."

"Fuck! First Rhaegon and now the Cannibal. This can't be a coincidence." Daemon said. He then looked at Aemond. "How fast are you boy?"

"Fast enough to do my tasks efficiently." Aemond replied.

"Find Joanna and meet me at the dragonmont." Daemon said, and Aemond hurried to his task.

"What are doing?" Cerelle asked.

"I have to to Claw isle." Daemon said. "I'll try to lure that ugly green fire cunt back to it's cave or kill him."

"You can't!" Cerelle yelled. "How will you do that and evacuate the people to the harbor?" She asked.

"I won't. The Cannibal is mine. Joanna will get the people safely to the harbor." Daemon said.

"Daemon please-" Cerelle was cut off by her husband.

"We have no choice." Daemon held Cerelles hand. "Our daughter won't fight. She only has to ensure the safety of the people."

"Why does it have to be you?" Cerelle tearfully asked.

"Rhaenyras focus will be split and Slyrak won't ride without Rhaegon. It has to be me." Daemon said.

Cerelle nodded. "Please come back."

"I will." Daemon let go of his wife's hand. As he walked to the doors, he stopped and turned to face his Lannister wife. "Cerelle, I..."

"No. Tell me when you return." Cerelle said and Daemon nodded.

Claw Isle

Daemon arrived on Caraxes, and Joanna arrived with Grey Ghost. Since Aemond did not bring Vhagar, he had no choice, but it ride on Grey Ghost with Joanna. They arrived at the harbor and saw people boarding ships.

Once the dragons landed, they immediately tried to help the people.

"My prince." A knight approached Daemon. "Lord Celtigar and his family are still on the island. Some twenty knights went after them, but they did not return. There are more people stuck between rubble and the Cannibals flames."

Daemon looked at the knight, and then at the people boarding the ships. He thought of the trust Rhaegon had in him and how he promised that he would help Rhaegon and Rhaenyra when they ascend the throne. That starts with defending their allies.

"A promise was made." Daemon said. He then looked at Aemond and Joanna. "I'll distract the Cannibal away from the houses and castles. Mount that horse, and Joanna will clear the debris for you find survivors and lord Celtigar and his family. Save as may as you can. We shall not live our days wondering if we could've saved more."

The dragon riders mounted their dragons, and Aemond mounted a horse.

"Haven't rode on a horse since I claimed Vhagar." Aemond told Joanna as he rode on the horse.

"Then this should be as easy as a child building blocks." Joanna smiled as she and Grey Ghost flew beside them.

Aemond watched in awe as Joanna commanded Grey Ghost to not only ride the path of any debris, but also do it carefully so that of their were survivors, they would not be injured. They managed to save a few people and direct them to the harbor.

On the other side of the island, Daemon and Caraxes attacked the Cannibal. The wild dragon was fierce, but Caraxes was quicker.

The bloodwyrm easily evaded the green flames of the Cannibal, but Daemon had to focus on removing them away from people. Caraxes took a full green flamed blast from the Cannibal and was sent upward. The Cannibal then flew higher as he spewed more flames from his mouth.

Dragonstone

Rhaegon and Rhaenyras chambers

Rhaegon was sweating and breathing heavily. Rhaenyra had not left his side since he was placed in their bed.

"Please come back. Please." Rhaenyra tearfully begged.

"How is he?" Cerelle asked.

"I don't know." Rhaenyra said. "He's never asked anything of me. Not my love, or my loyalty. It was as if he knew that I would give it to him without question, and I did. I've always looked to him for strength, and now that he needs me, I'm powerless to help him."

"You are many things, princess. Powerless isn't one of them." Cerelle said. "Rhaegon will come back to you, just as Daemon will come back to me."

On the further side, Viserys watched as Rhaegon writhed in pain on his bed.

"The only assurance you have is that he will live, but who he will be when he wakes, remains a mystery." Moribund appeared behind the king.

Viserys turned to face Moribund. "You."

"Me." Moribund smirked. "I must say that I'm both impressed and annoyed by you, king Viserys. I appear when someone is close to death, but when I appear before you, I'm always wrong. Why is that?" The immortal being asked.

Viserys smiled and turned to face his son. "When he was born, it was the happiest day of my life. I made many mistakes, yes. I've lost him. I've broken his trust, but I never stopped believing in him. Loving him. From the day he was born, I knew the world have him. Take him from me."

"That means you saw him fighting in the north?" Moribund asked.

"Yes. I saw it all the very first time I held him as a babe." Viserys said. "He cannot go mad with this poison in his blood." The king turned to face Moribund. "Is there a way to prevent it?"

"Yes, but it requires a sacrifice." Moribund said.

"Speak it." Viserys demanded.

"Rhaegon has many... troubles in his mind. His mother's death. Your illness. His family. All these have shaped him to be the man that he is today, but also what keeps him at bay. With the poison, all that pain will resurface and take hold of him." Moribund said. "I can put you inside his mind, but you have to help him before the pain consumes him and all that's left is madness."

"You said this requires a sacrifice?" Viserys inquired.

"Once you're in his mind, the longer you take to fix him, the quicker your life will fade." Moribund said.

"A sacrifice of my life for my son." Viserys looked at Moribund. "Do it."

Moribund nodded. He then sat Viserys down and placed his hands on the kings head. Viserys went into a frozen state.

Rhaegons mind

A 16 year Rhaegon walked in King's Landing, and stopped when he saw his mother.

"How was your meeting, my son?" Queen Aemma Arryn asked with her back turned away from her son.

"Easy. I believe that father can abdicate and name me king." Rhaegon chuckled.

"If that is true, then why didn't you stop this?" The Arryn queen turned and Rhaegon saw a faceless Aemma and her stomach was ripped open with a dead infant hanging from his umbilical cord. "You could've prevented this."

"No. No, I forgave myself for this many years ago." Rhaegon said.

"True, but you still ask yourself how you could've changed my fate." The faceless Arryn queen said. She walked closer and a now 35 year old Rhaegon stepped back in fear.

"This isn't real." Rhaegon said.

"Are you sure?" Aemma asked. "As long as I'm in your head I'm as real as can be."

"No!" Rhaegon ran away.

When Rhaegon entered his room, he covered himself with the bedsheet. Rhaegon quivered with fear when he heard the door open. When the bedsheet was removed. He saw his father, king Viserys Targaryen.

"Rhaegon?" Viserys called out.

"Who are you?" Rhaegon asked.

"I'm... I'm your father." Viserys said.

"No. I don't have a father. He betrayed me and my mother many years ago." Rhaegon said.

"I... I'm sorry. I must have mistaken myself." Viserys said. This is what Moribund warned him about. "Come let us leave these chambers."

"No! The monster is there. I can't leave! It's already taken my mother. Mother. No! I can't see her face. Why can't I see her face?!" Rhaegon panicked. He then heard banging on the door. "It's coming! The monster is coming!"

The doors opened and a shadow appeared in Rhaegons room. Once it came closer Viserys saw his own face. The kings eyes widened. The monster that had plagued Rhaegons mind... is him.

"Come." Viserys grabbed Rhaegons wrist and ran out of the room. They arrived in the throne room, and everything around them started burning. "There's no way out."

"These flames. They keep rising." Rhaegon said.

"This is the pain you've carried all these years." Viserys said. "You've managed to control it, but now it's out of your control, but while the flames rage on inside us, it also carries us to others fighting their own impulses."

Rhaegon looked at the entrance of the throne room, and saw his sister-wife, Rhaenyra.

"Rhae?" Rhaegon called out, but Rhaenyra said nothing.

"Yes. People like Rhaenyra who help us stay strong when our limbs tire or our fire burns at its wildest, and for whom we do the same." Viserys said.

"No. No she hates me for marrying Laena. She wants to betray me, just like my father did." Rhaegon said. "He said that was the last time he'd impregnate my mother. He then saw his faceless mother in the fire. Mother? Her face. Why can't I see her face?" The crown prince panicked again.

"I'm here, son. I'm not letting go." Viserys hugged Rhaegon.

"The flames are to warm, I'll burn. I'll burn like my mother was burnt." Rhaegons mind was giving into the poison.

King's Landing

Royal gardens

Visenya couldn't stop thinking about her father who was attacked. By now the castle knew that Rhaegon was fighting for his life, and her brothers left for Dragonstone.

"Good morrow, princess." Visenya heard Aegons voice.

"Good morrow prince Aegon." Visenya greeted.

"Are you here alone?" Aegon asked.

"I am, but Daeron said he'd join me shortly." Visenya answered.

"He's not here now. I thought mayhaps we could get to know each other." Aegon smirked.

"What would you like to know?" Visenya innocently asked.

"How big are your tits?" Aegon asked.

"What?" Visenya uncomfortably inquired.

"Your tits. How big are they?" Aegon asked again.

"That's not your concern." Visenya instinctively crossed her arms over a chest. "Are you drunk?"

Aegon smirked and held up a green dress. "I got this for you a few days ago."

"You shouldn't have." Visenya said.

"I bet my competition can't get you expensive things." Aegon arrogantly said.

"There's no competition." Visenya said. "You never had a chance."

Aegon smirked and walked closer. Visenya stepped back until she was trapped by a wall. "Try this dress on. I'm sure you'll feel better." He then started tugging at her dress trying to rip it off.

"What are you doing? Stop it!" Visenya yelled. "I said stop it!" Aegon had a sadistic smirk on his face and ripped the strings off Visenyas dress. Visenya then covered her now bare chest, and Aegon took the opportunity to push her on the ground. "Please stop!" She begged and Aegon began to kiss her neck and lick her face.

"Don't act like you don't want it." Aegon pulled her dress up to get between her legs. Visenya tried to reach of anything, and she managed to get to Aegons dagger. She pulled it out and stabbed him in his shoulder. "Fuck!" Aegon stumbled back. "You bitch!" Aegon pulled the dagger out of his shoulder and charged at Visenya. He then winced in pain as an arrow pierced through his hand.

"Enough!" Daeron yelled as he ran to Visenya. He then removed his cloak and put it over Visenya. "Leave or I'll kill you where you stand." He looked at Visenya. "Are you alright?"

"Yes." Visenya whispered.

"How dare you!" Aegon yelled as he pulled the arrow out of his hand.

"You should be ashamed of yourself, Aegon." Daeron said.

"And you should watch who you threaten, boy." Aegon spat.

"You're an even bigger idiot that I thought. Leave or there will be more bloodshed." Daeron warned.

Aegon smirked. "I choose more bloodshed. He unsheathed his sword and charged at Daeron."

Daeron charged as well. As he got closer he rolled under and swept Aegons legs. As soon  as Aegon was on the ground. Daeron best Aegon in on his cock with his bow. Daeron hand one knee on Aegons balls and he punched him in the face repeatedly.

"Daeron stop!" Visenya yelled. "Look at me." Daeron looked at Visenya. "I'm alright. Please stop."

Daeron called for someone to take Aegon back to the castle and told Otto and the queen what happened, but not before writing a letter to Dragonstone.

Claw Isle

"Don't worry. The crown prince will save us, and if not him, Prince Daemon will. He promised prince Rhaegon that he'd fight for us as well." Lord Bartimos Celtigar said.

"My lord!" Aemond entered the castle. "Come. We have to get to the harbor."

The group ran out, and Joanna was waiting for them with Grey Ghost. Suddenly Caraxes was sent mere inches from them. The Cannibal was too strong that even the bloodwyrm couldn't stand against him.

"Grey Ghost attack!" Joanna commanded and before her dragon could do anything, the Cannibal bit into Grey Ghosts neck and tossed him aside. The dragon was alive, but wounded.

The Cannibal turned his sights on Daemon and Caraxes. He the opened his mouth and a green flame build up. Daemon looked to his left and saw lord Bartimos and his family. He then looked to his right and saw his daughter and Aemond.

"Dracarys, Caraxes!" Daemon commanded. He knew that no one would be able to escape if he did not act. The flame of red and green collided, and all watched in awe even from the harbor.

"Get up, Grey Ghost!" Joanna shouted, but her dragon could barely move. She then grabbed a nearby sword and attempted to charge at the Cannibal. Fortunately, she was stopped by Aemond.

"It's too dangerous, Jo!" Aemond held her from behind.

"Let me go!" Joanna tried to fight out of Aemonds grip. She then looked at her father and Daemon looked at his daughter. She shed a tear knowing her father wouldn't survive since the Cannibals flame started pushing back at Caraxes.

"He's trying to give a chance to escape!" Aemond said.

Father and daughter continued looking at each other.

"Forgive me daught-" Daemon was cut off by a familiar force.

Dragonstone

A few hours earlier

Rhaegon and Rhaenyras chambers

Rhaegons mind

Rhaegon and Viserys were still in the throne room and the flames came closer to them and it became more difficult to breathe.

"Rhaegon! Rhaegon listen to me. I know that I hurt you, and you you have every right to be angry at me, but they don't deserve your anger." Viserys pointed at the door and Rhaenyra stood at the entrance with her 6 children from Rhaegon and Rhaegons 3 children with Laena. "You were but a boy when you lost your mother, and you forgave me, that is why you cannot see her face. The guilt of that is what makes you hate yourself."

"I just wanted to see her eyes and her smile again. I spent so many nights pretending how she would look. Conjuring dreams in my mind, only to be disappointed in the morning." Rhaegon sadly said.

"There's a power in letting go of the past, Rhaegon. In finding peace. People do it everyday." Viserys said.

"There is none like me." Rhaegon spat.

"You're wrong, Rhaegon." Viserys smiled at his son. "The people who fight for you the family you've built are more like you than you realize."

Rhaegon had a small smile in his face. "You... had a dream for me. Father?" He inquired.

"Yes, Rhaegon. Remember me." Viserys said. "I had a dream that would make you the greatest king who ever lived. A dream that you would thrive with your family, and like that dream, any family worth having-"

"Is worth fighting for." Rhaegon finished. "Your name is King Viserys Targaryen."

"Yes, and you are the Crown Prince Rhaegon Targaryen, but when you let your mother go, you needed to become something else, something that could defend his family. The name was given to you and you have used it to protect the family that needs you. Do you remember that name, Rhaegon? Remember what you were meant to do."

Rhaegons eyes widened.

Rhaegon and Rhaenyras chambers

"Please wake up, my love. Your family needs you. Daemon needs you." Rhaenyra begged.

Suddenly Rhaegon woke up and looked at his wife. "Rhae?"

"I'm here." Rhaenyra hugged her husband.

"I have to go." Rhaegon said and Rhaenyra nodded.

As Rhaegon walked out of the room, he saw his father. The king was different. He was skinny and had sores on his right hand and left cheek.

"I had to, Rhaegon. I had to save my son." Viserys said. "I love you so much." The King coughed and Rhaegon helped him sit down. "Go. Daemon needs you. I'll be here when you return."

As soon as Rhaegon left the castle, Slyrak was waiting for him as if he knew that his rider would arrive. Rhaegon mounted Slyrak and flew off to Claw Isle.

Claw Isle

Daemon looked at his daughter as Caraxes' flame struggled against the Cannibals flame. Hos thoughts went to how his daughter is so much like him. Impulsive, yet protective. He loved his family, and did not get the chance to tell them.

"Forgive me, daught-" Daemon was cut off when Slyrak pushed the Cannibal aside with brute force. With incredible speed Slyrak charged at the Cannibal and and wrapped his mouth around his neck.

"Fly, Slyrak!" A stomach bandaged wrapped, shirtless Rhaegon commanded and Slyrak flew up. The Cannibal tried to claw at Slyrak, but the wild beast was getting weaker. They were in the air between Dragonstone and Claw Isle. Rhaegon looked down and saw water. He then smirked. "Drop him." Slyrak dropped the Cannibal and dove down as the wild dragon fell. "Finish him, Slyrak!" Slyrak opened his mouth and bit the Cannibals mouth. Slyrak then ripped his lower mouth off. "Dracarys!" Slyrak obeyed and unleashed his mighty flames into the mouth of the Cannibal. The Cannibals insides started to glow red and seconds later the largest of the wild dragons exploded.

Dragonstone

Corwyn had finally arrived on Vermithor, Jace on Vermax, Luke on Arrax, and Rhaena on Sheepstealer. When they arrived, Daemon was tended to by maester Gerardys and Joanna was held by Aemond.

"Where's our father?" Corwyn asked.

"Probably on Claw Isle making living arrangements for Lord Celtigar and his people." Daemon answered.

"What happened? Who unleashed the Cannibal?" Rhaena asked.

"The same people who wanted your father dead." Rhaenyra said.

"My father barely survived the attack as well." Joanna spoke up. "I fucking want justice!" Daemon smiled with pride at his daughter.

"Where is grandfather?" Corwyn asked and suddenly a powerful roar was heard on the outside. Daemon smirked.

They arrived outside and saw Rhaegon bandaged around his waist and shirtless.

"Lord Celtigar and the people of Claw Isle will live here until reparations can be done. Is everyone alright?" Rhaegon asked.

Rhaenyra smiled and ran to her husband. She then passionately kissed him.

Everyone gathered could see the power of Rhaegon Targaryen. He is a man, but praised as more.

"Papa." Rhaena smiled at her recovered father.

"The Black Dragon lives!" Daemon proudly cheered and all gathered cheered with him.

From the window of Viserys' chambers, he smiled with pride for his son. He had made a sacrifice, but to him it's an honor.

King's Landing

Tower of the Hand

Ser Otto had just heard from Daemons son, Daeron about the attempted rape or Visenya Velaryon. The Hand of the King was trembling. He knew that Aegon didn't have a prayer anymore. A letter was sent to Dragonstone, and the fact that Visenya is Rhaegons daughter means only one thing.

"It's all over." Otto sadly said.
