RECAP
Just then the door burst open, revealing the 'Darkness', it then roaring. You quickly moved away from the desk and over to Hope, the pig standing behind you two. Hope raised her hand, shutting the door immediately along with a plank of wood to hold it in place.
"Little witches, little witches, let... me... in!" The Darkness roared, pausing between each word. Hope raised up the axe as soon as the monster growled from behind the door.
The sound of wind whooshing brought Josie back from her subconscious as she looked up at the roof, her eyes returning to normal. "Hope Mikaelson and Kate Lockwood... are you in my head?" She questioned herself before falling onto the concrete unconscious.
ââââ
The Darkness then kicked down the door, he then threw his hands in front of his face and let out a roar, that drew in a massive amount of wind which actually felt like magic.
You then watched as Hope was lifted off the ground and watched as wolf turned its head side ways and then to the other side quite fast, trying to create a circle. You then watched as Hope span around in a circle, gasping as she was confused with what was happening.
The wolf then threw her against the wall with the magic, it then turning to you and throwing you against the same wall, causing you to fall on top of Hope, both of you letting out a pained cry.
The pig walked backwards as far as it could as the Darkness walked towards it. The werewolf hissed, causing squealing to come from the pig. You painfully moved off of Hope. "Sorry." You groaned out, earning a sympathetic smile from Hope.
You both then looked over to see the wolf swallowing the pig. "No!" Hope called out. Hope then got up, picking up the axe and staking it into the chest of the wolf, earning it to let out a groan as it fell to the ground.
You got up and held your side that was in pain and watched as the pigs tail moved and the stomach of the wolf gurgled. "Pig!" Hope called out again and hit the axe over the stomach, cutting it open. You then placed your free hand over your mouth as you thought that that was disgusting.
Instead of pig hooves coming from the stomach, a hand came out. You and Hope then became extremely confused when Josie came out instead. "What the hell is going on? Where's Pig?" You questioned, your free hand resting on your hips.
"Oh, uh..." Josie trailed off, just as scared. "I-I was the pig." Josie stated, stuttering a little. "I thought if I disguised myself the Darkness would leave me alone." Josie explained, knowing you and Hope were a little mad.
Hope glanced over at you before back to Josie. "You were the pig?" Hope questioned, earning a nod from Josie who was now closer to you and Hope. "You do realize he said some really patronising and-and sexist things to us." Hope recalled, Josie feeling guilty now.
"No, I know. I just didn't want you guys to suspect it was me, because I need you to leave. Okay? I don't want you to get hurt." Josie tried getting you two to leave, obviously really scared of the darkness consuming her.
You grabbed onto Josies hands with your own. "Josie, listen to me, we're not going to leave you behind." You tried convincing her that you two were not going anywhere.
Josie shook her head, still scared. "No, you don't understand. I can't have somebody else get hurt because of me." Josie responded straight away.
"No one will." Hope responded.
You let go of Josies hands and looked behind her as you heard a loud whooshing sound come from behind her, Josie and Hope also heard and looked as well. The wolf that was the Darkness had become dust and was now what everyone knew as Dark Josie.
Hope cautiously put Josie behind you and her to keep her safe while Dark Josie only smirked. "I love that you thought it would be that simple." Dark Josie commented.
"Oh, my God, run!" Josie explained, lifting up her dress so she could run, you and Hope following her.

Lizzie sat behind the pillar at the top of the staircase, listening to the students talk amongst themselves well she sat there, annoyed at the fact they laughed at her eulogy. Lizzie then took the ring off and went back to her normal appearance. "Okay, time for some real talk." Lizzie muttered to herself and got up, about to go down but stopped when she saw MG about to speak.
Everyone was getting up to leave but MG started speaking. "I have something to say." He started, the chatter quieting down, allowing him to talk. everyone sitting back down. "My first day here, Lizzie was my tour guide. Just like she was for most of you. I was so scared. And she knew it, too. At the end of my tour, I mentioned... hating my name, Milton. And she said, 'So change it'." MG explained, smiling at the memory and chuckling.
Lizzie moved to sit down against the pillar like before, and just listened. " 'No one here knows. How 'bout MG?' " He quoted what Lizzie said. Kaleb started playing a subtle melody. "Remember that shock bracelet Lizzie had? Or when she was suddenly into talent shows and-and Miss Mystic Falls, and-and football? She was always trying to start over." MG recalled the moments she was actually trying to start over.
"And, yeah, she could be extra, but she knew it." Laughter filled the room as MG said that. "And she never stopped trying to change." Lizzie then turned around to see MG speaking. "But did you all let her?" HE questioned the students, the room became silent as they knew he was right about them not giving her a chance. "Or did you hold onto one image of her at her worst?" He questioned.
The room was silent again. "She was an easy target who couldn't control her brain chemistry. So it was easier to think that she was broken than to root for her and accept that she was changing." MG looked down, letting out a sigh before continuing. "If you really stop and think, I'm sure you have a good Lizzie story, too. Here's your chance. Start over." MG encouraged.
MG then got off the stage, quiet and indistinct murmuring erupting from the students. Once girl got up and went onto the stage. "I liked to sew a lot. But there was no one else to do it with. When Lizzie found out, she started the sewing club." The girl started explaining something nice Lizzie had done.

"We have to keep moving." Hope commented as you all ran through the woods and to an abandoned broken down building.
Josie then started walking to the building. "It doesn't matter, we're never gonna get away from her." Josie responded, sounding like she had already given up.
You then ran up to her and went in front of her to make her come to a stop, with thankfully worked. "Jo, while you've been trapped in your subconscious, she's been rampaging in the real world." You told her, but obviously she had no idea what that meant. "She tried to Merge with Lizzie." You told her.
Josie then grew worried as she thought about her sister and how she might not be alive. "Oh, my God, is she okay?" She questioned, looking between you and Hope for an answer.
Hope decided to cut in. "For now. But that's why we have to stop her." Hope explained, briefly.
Josie then sat down, causing you to sit down next to her and for Hope to kneel down in front of her. "She's more powerful than I am." Josie stated, wrapping her arms around her legs as she hugged them to her chest.
"Jo..." Hope trailed off, now sitting down. "...she is you. Or some part of you. You can control her somehow." Hope told Josie, who looked up into Hopes eyes before looking to the broken building. "I don't know how, but... Landon would have some theory about the psychology, and what part of your personality she represents." Hope said, earning a small chuckle from you.
"He would, wouldn't he?" Josie questioned as she looked down at the ground.
"Pretty messed-up subconscious you got here, by the way." Hope commented, looking around before back to Josie.
Josie looked over at you and then to Hope. "Are we surprised?" Josie questioned, resting her head on her knee. "My mom used to read us fairy tales for bedtime stories. They were so calming. There was good guys and bad guys. Very clear rules that you had to follow. It all made sense." Josie explained why her subconscious was a fairy land. "Unlike my life." She stated afterward.
You then bumped your shoulder into her shoulder. "Well, this fairy tale sucks." You responded.
Josie made eye contact with you. "It's accurate. I'm either the powerful, petty bitch or the good, weak victim." Josie explained.
"Actually, that's the story that you're telling yourself." You responded, earning a confused look from Josie. "I mean, your subconscious made up a fairy tale that the good you is weak and the powerful you is evil, right?" You questioned, earning a nod from Josie. "Well, then, tell yourself a different story." You concluded with a shrug.
Just then Hope was pulled away from the circle, grunting as she hit the floor, soon after, Dark Josie appeared and flicked her hand forward, causing you and her to go flying backwards. Expect you got thrown into the wall while Josie was pushed against the ground. "Boring." Dark Josie emphasised. "Let's fight." She whispered.
Hope then picked up her axe, lifting it into the air and threw it at Dark Josie, only for her to catch it. Josie ran over to you and helped you up, which you gladly accepted. "That's strike one." Dark Josie stated.
"Icaeus!" Hope chanted, sending a blue light towards Dark Josie, only for her to raise her hand and observe the magic.
She then let her hand down and opened her eyes. "Ah, thanks for the extra magic." She thanked. "That's strike two." She whispered.
"Listen, Josie, you can fight her. You have to fight her." You explained to her. Hope looked back at you two to see Josie shaking her head, tears threatening to fall as she helped you stand.
"Hmm, that's strike three." Dark Josie stated, useing her magic to shove Hope into the wall and for you to fall out of Josies hands and to be shoved against a different wall, unable to move.
"Josie! Change the story." Hope stated before she became stone.
Josie then looked from Hope to you to see you had tears in your eyes as well. "You can do this, fight her." You stated before also coming stone.
Josie then turned her head back to Dark Josie, tears falling down her cheeks before running away to back to the cabin. Josie then grabbed the knife Hope had set down on the table. "Boo." Dark Josie stated, Josie jumping and falling to the ground, breathing heavily as held the knife towards Dark Josie. This only made her laugh.
"Please." Josie pleaded.
Dark Josie tilted her head with a smile. "I hate you. You're so weak and vulnerable. The kind of girl who's so quiet that her father and mother forget about her in the chaos of Lizzie. The kind of girl Penelope won't fight for anymore. The kind of girl Landon breaks up with in one speech. The kind of girl who's destined to lose the Merge." Dark Josie then raised her hand, the knife being flicked away, out of Josies hand.
"You needed me. Because without me, you would have never survived. This is what being strong looks like." Dark Josie explained, having now cornered Josie against the wall.
Josie then thought back to what you had told her before. "Actually, that's the story that you're telling yourself. I mean, your subconscious made up a fairy tale that the good you is weak and the powerful you is evil, right? Well, then, tell yourself a different story." Realisation then struck her face. "I was afraid of being strong." She whispered. "I thought being strong meant hurting Lizzie."
"Or being like Kai. I told myself that being powerful meant being evil." She stated to herself, looking back up at Dark Josie. "But it doesn't. Kate is strong. Hope is strong. And their both good." Josie then stood up, Dark Josie becoming scared and confused but she wouldn't let her being scared show.
"You made a story... I made a story... where I was powerless. But that's not true." Josie stated. "Because I can change this story." She continued.
Dark Josie then had enough of her bickering. "Enough." Dark Josie ordered.
Josie then wiped the tears that had fallen away and shook her head. "I'm not afraid of you anymore." She stated. "Because I'm holding the Axe." Just then the axe appeared in her hands and out of Dark Josies.
"Finidus..." Dark Josie chanted. "I just bound you to this cabin. You're trapped here forever." Dark Josie stated, still trying to be in control.
Josies smile on grew. "I'm not trapped. Because we're not in the cabin anymore." Just then they appeared back to where you and Hope were stone. "And... if you use your magic against me, it hurts you, too. But most importantly... you're not wearing armor anymore." The armour Dark Josie had on was now gone.
Josie then shoved the knife into Dark Josies chest, earning a grunt as Josie threw her onto the stone podium, the axe still in her chest. "It's over." Josie stated.
"It'll never be over." Dark Josie responded. "As long as you have black magic in you. I will always find a way back." Dark Josie continued.
Josie then leaned down so she could be eye level with her. "We'll see." Josie stated, planting a kiss on Dark Josies forehead.

Alaric opened the door to the weapons to find Hope standing over your body, trying to wake you up. As soon as she heard the door open, she turned around, tears staining her cheeks as she couldn't get you to wake up. "She's not waking up." Hope chocked out.
Alaric now worried, looked at you. "Stay here with her, I'll be back." Alaric stated, shutting the door and walking to Landon and Rafaels room. "He hasn't, uh... ?" Alaric questioned, watching Rafael wait for Landon to wake up.
Rafael shook his head and stared at Landon's body, trying not to cry. "I don't get it. The Necromancer freed me and Alyssa, but Landon, he... he won't wake up." Rafael explained.
"Yeah, but we had a deal." Alaric stated, recalling the deal him and the Necromancer had.
Rafael looked over to Alaric and got up. "He made good on part of it. My heartbeat's back. I'm alive. It doesn't feel like I have that little voice in my head anymore." He paused, chuckling. "I'm free." His smile then dropped and looked over at Landons body. "Landon should be back by now." He stated.
Alaric walked up to Rafaels side. "Yeah. That's not our only problem." Alaric commented, taking Rafael down to his office, opening the door to the weapons rooms and revealed Hope still trying to wake Kate up but failing.
Hope looked up, seeing Alaric now with Rafael. Rafael only seemed more confused. "I don't understand. What's wrong with her?" Rafael questioned Alaric.
"We're not sure. But she won't wake up." Alaric explained, Hope turning back to look at your unconscious figure.
