RECAP
It was quiet for a few seconds before Lizzie spoke up. "So... Hope and Kate are in Josie's mind?" Lizzie questioned, trying to understand.
"Yeah. There's, um, more... to that." Kaleb struggled to find the right words.
Alaric then moved to a shelf that led to a secret room with the weapons inside. He pulled the pulled, allowing the doors to open. Once they were fully open, Lizzie saw you and Hope, unconscious on separate beds, looking quite peaceful. Lizzie walked over at looked at you and Hope.
"Lizzie, till Hope and Kate come back, no one else can know you're alive. The Necromancer's spying on us, so... we have to play to his camera." Alaric explained, Lizzie unsure of what to say again.

Both you and Hope woke up in the middle of a family grave by the looks of it. You got up to stand on your feet and looked around, before looking down at your clothes and seeing you were basically a badass female character from basically every TV Show or movie. It was black leather jacket and black jeans with a black v-neck shirt and black boots.
"Well, this is unexpected." You heard Hope say as she got up.
You then looked over at her and let out a snort as you raised your hand to your mouth, trying not to laugh at the way she looked. Hope looked up at you. "Don't even." Hope scolded, glaring at you and before you could respond, she continued. "And you can't speak, you look like you're going to a funeral." Hope fired back.
Your smile dropped and so did your hand. "Okay, that's not even remotely funny." You replied, earning Hope to stifle a laugh and to throw your hands up at her childish behaviour.
You then walked over to her and helped her up, afterwards, both of you looking around and suddenly getting an uncanny feeling from this place. "Josie?" Hope called out. "Your subconscious is weirding us out." Hope continued.
Hope then looked to you while you shrugged. "How are we meant to find Josie if Josie isn't even in her subconscious?" You questioned, resting your hands on your waist.
Hope exhaled sharply before turning around to look at an open door. "Follow the literal trail of bread crumbs." Hope commented, causing you to turn around and look down, seeing the bed crumbs going out the door.
"Subtle." You responded.
Hope walked towards the door and opened it, allowing you two to follow the trail. It lead out to the woods, Hope looked up into the sky, looking at the castle with eerie fog and lights until you both heard rustling.
Hope looked towards the tree line and saw something scurry away. "Wait. It's okay. You don't have to run." Hope said, following after the thing running away.
You followed after her. "Hope, we don't know what this is, we can't just follow it." You tried convincing Hope not to follow but she didn't listen and continued walking until she came to a stop.
You stopped beside her until snorting started engulfing your ears. Both of you turned around and saw a figure standing behind a very thin bush. "Post tenebras spero lucem." Hope chanted, casting a ball of light so you both could see. "You don't have to hide, either. We're not gonna hurt you." Hope stated, smiling slightly.
The thing then turned around, revealing itself as a pig. The pig looked both of you in the eye before speaking up. "Would you shut your piehole, lady? And put out that light, before you get us both killed." The pig snapped, snorting afterwards. You and Hope were shocked with the way it spoke to you two.

Lizzie and MG stood over the coffin that had Lizzies fake dead body in it. "I look so peaceful. Angelic, even." The blonde commented. "No wonder you had a thing for me." Lizzie said after a moment, looking at the vampire.
Lizzie smirked then walked off. "That's not why I had a thing for you." MG responded, shutting the coffin lid. "And why are you speaking in the past tense? You're totally alive." MG said afterwards.
"That wreath can't go there." Lizzie stated, walking backwards and pointing to an area for where the wraith is meant to go. "That is where the doves are being released, which is after the video, remember?" Lizzie questioned, turning around to go to the flowers.
"No. Lizzie, this does not matter, okay? None of this is real. It's just a show." MG reminded, placing down the wraith on the wraith holder.
Lizzie then turned back around to face the vampire, surprised he was saying that it was 'just a show'. "A show to convince Homicidal Hot Topic Josie that she actually killed me, so it better be a damn good one. There's still so much left to do." Lizzie responded, turning back to the flowers to fix them.
MG let out a sigh. "If you're trying to play dead, managing your own funeral defeats the point." MG commented.
Lizzie then stopped fixing the flowers and turned around, pointing a finger at MG before lowering her hand. "I'm way ahead of you there. That is what this freakishly large ring is for." She then pulled out the ring Clarke had used to disguise himself.
She then placed the ring on her hand, becoming Hope to disguise herself. "I'm unique and special. And for some reason, I'm really emo about it." Lizzie stated, tilted her head with a tight lipped smile. "Wait here while I go sacrifice myself unnecessarily." She continued, placing her hands on her waists. "How'd I do?" She asked after a moment, smiling.
Just then, Alaric came marching in with Kaleb and Jed. "What's going on here?" Alaric questioned, wanting an answer. MG turned around, pointing at Lizzie or 'Hope'.
Lizzie looked behind MG and walked forward. "Hey, Daddy." Lizzie stated.
This earned a extremely confused Kaleb and lost Jed. "Oh-" Kaleb exclaimed softly, stopping in his tracks as he tried figuring out what was going on.
"What is going on?" Alaric asked again once he had come to a stop.
"I figured since we're disguising Hope's body as me while she roots around in Josie's subconscious, that I could pretend to be her while she's gone." Lizzie explained. "I couldn't figure out what to say about Kate until I thought of a story that involved her to leave school to go search for a way to get Josie back." Lizzie continued.
Alaric, Jed and Kaleb looked at each other. "Oh..." Kaleb said again.
"Wow, is she really this short?" Lizzie questioned, looking up at the ceiling before down at the floor.
ALaric let out a small sigh, still disturbed with the fact the Lizzie was Hope right now. "Elizabeth?" ALaric questioned.
"You need me to oversee the funeral." Lizzie cut off Alaric.
Kaleb shook his head before turning to Alaric and getting his voice low, just above a whisper. "Are we really gonna roll with this? Like, this is gonna happen-"
Lizzie rolled her eyes at their stubbornness to keep her out of helping. "Dad!" Lizzie exclaimed.
"Mm." He responded immediately, getting his ear away from Kaleb.
"The emotion has to be real. And who better to put together a touching memorial to me than... me?" She concluded, smiling again.
Alaric looked down at the floor for a moment while Kaleb smiled at the fact this was happening. "Uh, sweetie, I think it's a great idea, but I just... I think people are gonna... figure it out." Alaric replied, not sure how to word that her pretending to be Hope will end badly.
Jed then spoke up. "Yeah, he's right. The pack's never gonna fall for this." Jed said his opinion.
Lizzie then let out a sigh. "Fine, then I'll be Kate, besides, she's easier to impersonate." Lizzie responded, holding onto her ring before morphing into you. "I'm the other Tribrid who lost her parents young and loves playing football for some odd reason." Lizzie stated, trying to say something that you would which was actually quite on point, earning a slight nod from MG and that didn't go unnoticed from Lizzie.
Just then three werewolves from the pack walk in, causing Lizzie to get an idea. "Ahem. Hello there... fellow wolves. So nice to see you again, Piper, Trevor, Brock." 'You' greeted them, walking over to them with everyone else watching and Jed following you.
"Yo. We're gonna build a human pyramid after the funeral, if you want to join." Brock invited.
'Your' face lit up, obviously wanting to join. "I'd love to. And then maybe after we could run around outside and stare at the moon for awhile." 'You' suggested.
Brock and the two other wolves smiled brightly. "Nice. Yo, you rock, Kate." Brock complimented.
'You' smiled back at them. "Back atcha, Brockmeister." Lizzie chuckled, the three wolves then walked off, causing Lizzie to turn around. "The defense rests." Lizzie said afterwards, once the wolves were gone.
Alaric walked forward, him and his daughter looking into each others eyes. "Fine. But no doves." Alaric agreed, walking off, probably to his office.
"All right, you heard the man. We've got work to do." Lizzie ordered, clicking her fingers and clapping her hands twice to get them moving as she walked in between them to get to the stage.
ââââ
"Hey, would you wait up?" Hope yelled out to the pig you and her were now following after.
The pig snorted softly and continued walking, not stopping in their tracks. "Take your 'innocent girl with the basket' and 'badass superhero with the knifes or bow' act someplace else. Last thing I need is some trigger-happy skirt doing magic near me." The pig explained, not slowing down.
You and Hope shared a look. "Why? What happens if we do magic?" You questioned.
The pig turned around, coming to a stop. "Don't find out!" The pig exclaimed. "And quit following me. You don't belong here, toots." The pig stated and continued walking.
Hope turned to you and you turned to her immediately thinking of the same thing. Both of you immediately following after the pig. "Sexist talking pigs aren't really my thing." Hope commented. "Same for Kate." Hope continued.
"Listen fatty," You fired back, causing the pig to glance back you with the name. "we'd love to leave, but we're not going anywhere until we find our friend Josie, who is my cousin and the sweetest person in the universe." You explained.
The pig then came to a slow stop, turning back to look at you and Hope. "What do you want with her?" The pig questioned.
"We came to rescue her." Hope responded.
"Yeah, well, you're too late for that." The pig replied, going to walk off but you would allow it.
Your heart missed a beta when you heard that, already thinking the worst. "What do you mean?" You questioned, worry laced in your voice.
The pig then walked to a stump. "Pull up a stump." The pig ordered, you and Hope going to the stump in front of the pig. You allowed Hope to sit on it while you sat on the ground next to her. "Once upon a time, this was a beautiful land. A peaceful kingdom, ruled by Princess Josette." The pig started.
"And then the Darkness came. The princess tried to fight it, but using her magic only made the Darkness stronger. It was tied to her somehow, and if she kept fighting it, the Darkness would grow to cover the entire land." The pig continued, pausing as if they were reliving a memory.
"So Princess Josie placed a sleeping spell on herself so that she could never do magic again, and so that the Darkness could never grow. If we wake her up, the Darkness will grow again. So... as much as we all miss her, this is how it has to be." The pig finished explaining. "Destiny's a bitch, huh, dolls?" He questioned.
Hope shrugged slightly. "Maybe. But we still have to try. She would do the same for us." Hope explained, pausing as a thought came to her mind. "And I think I know how to find her." Hope commented, getting up to walk off.
You got up as well, wanting to find Josie just as much as Hope. The pig got up shortly after. "Uh, you don't want to do that." The pig commented.
Hope stopped as she looked down at the ground. "Where's the rest of the trail?" She questioned, causing you to move to stand beside her and see no more bread crumbs.
Both of you turn around to face the pig. "Well, um, here's the thing. You-You're not gonna believe this. The, uh... Whenever, heh, the, uh, elements, um... Uh, you know what, I ate it. Okay? I ate it! Ha ha! 'Why would I do that?' they ask.Because I'm disgusting, and I have no self-control. Do you see the package that I'm working with right now?" the pig rambled, referring to how big it was.
You shook your head. "Okay, but you obviously know where this trail goes. So that means you know where she is." You stated, stiffness coming from the pig. The pig stated quiet. "Alright, how about this; if you don't tell us where she went, we're both gonna start doing magic." You threatened.
"The Darkness will come." The pig reminded you two.
Hope tilted her head a little bit. "Facing darkness is kind of my thing. Her thing is to knock me out so I don't always be the hero." Hope explained, pointing at herself before back to you.
The pig stared blankly into Hopes eyes. "Fine." He stated, now looking into your eyes as well. "Fine! Gah! You two are bossy little things, you know that?" The pig questioned.
You and Hope smiled "Ah, that's a compliment in our world." Hope responded.
"Remind me not to visit that place." The pig stated and started walking, you and Hope following.
