RECAP
You stayed against the wall, just watching. You knew you could do something to stop them but you were afraid you weren't powerful enough to defeat them. "Once they woke me up, they quickly realized my superior leadership qualities. They're kind of like my followers, I guess you could say." He then found the Sand Clock but stopped, looking at the shattered glass.
"You can keep your lousy Sand Clock." He shoved it back into the bag. "I'll be gone before it breaks." He then walked back to be in front of her. "Oh, chin up. You're new at conning people. You'll get better at it." He then became quiet, looking up at Jade. "Take them to Ric. Don't kill them yet. Make her, Kate and Ric suffer." Kai ordered, glancing at you who was just watching silently.
He grabbed Josies cheeks. "I couldn't have done it without you, kid." He the planted a soft kiss on her forehead, walking away.
Jade then started chuckling. "Oh, this is gonna be fun." She stated, walking over to you. "Aren't you a pretty thing?" She questioned before grabbing your head and smashing it against the wall, knocking you out instantly.

"If you're planning on torturing me, you're gonna be disappointed. I can handle the torture." Alaric stated, he sounded so distance yet so close.
Jade then walked in, dragging you while Josie walked. "How about seeing your daughter and niece be tortured?" Jade questioned.
Alaric looked over, his face full of worry when he saw both you and Josie with your hands cuffed behind your band and bandannas on your mouths to keep you from talking. Alaric also saw the blood running down your neck from your head being smashed into the wall. "Josie. Kate." He called.
You groaned out as you finally felt yourself gaining feeling and consciousness again. Going to look up at Alaric was a bad idea as you felt pain on the side of your head, running through your body, causing you to yell out in pain, only for it to be muffled.
Jade then let you fall to the floor with a thud while she forcefully placed Josie on a chair. "Josie, are you okay? Kate?" He questioned, earning a nod from Josie but nothing from you.
"For now, but what happens next is up to you." Alaric was furious they'd go to this just to get information. "So talk. 'Cause I've waited ten years for an explanation for what you did to us." Jade stated, walking over to you and grabbing you, placing you roughly on a chair next to Josie.
"What other choice did you leave me?" Alaric questioned.
You let out a groan as you felt yourself falling back into unconscious, not able to hear what story Alaric was about to tell. After a while, you felt yourself gaining consciousness. "I knew what I had to do. Five people were dead, brutally murdered. Fed on, ripped apart, dismembered, burned to cover it up." Alaric exclaimed, obviously upset.
"And not one of you showed any remorse or even admitted what you had done. I couldn't let you stay at the school. I wasn't gonna unleash you into the world." Alaric explained truthfully.
"So you sent us here forever? Is that how you help your students?" Diego questioned the Saltzman.
You opened your eyes every so slightly, the light hurting them but you pushed passed it just so you could look at Alaric. It was quiet for a moment. "No. I made a mistake. I should have killed you." Alaric stated, pausing between each sentence.
Diego started growling, obviously upset tu Jade started laughing. "Ooh, doubling down in the face of imminent death. Ballsy." Jade commented, leaning on your chair.
"I knew you were killers, that you wouldn't change. It was Caroline that talked me into showing you mercy." Alaric kept explaining. How could he do this? To his own students?
"Enough talk." Diego growled. "Let's kill him."
"No." Jade ordered, getting the other two to look over at her. "I want him to suffer first." She stated, meaning you and Josie. "You two go check on Kai. He has all the pieces to get us out now. Make sure he doesn't leave us behind." Jade explained, giving out orders again.
It was quiet until the tapping of heals was heard walking away, becoming more distance, as well as heavy ones. Jade moved forward to stand in between you and Josie, patting your left shoulder and her right one. She hummed. "You're so sure you're right. How about I tell you what actually happened that night?" Jade questioned.
"Inez invited me to a party in the woods." Jade started, moving to lean against a table. You let out a soft sigh as you just wanted to go back home. To Hope. To Landon. To anyone. "We'd been flirting for a few months. I thought it was my chance to finally see if she was really into girls or not. Wendy really wanted to come, and she was trying to get Diego to notice her, so she talked me into bringing him, too." Jade explained.
She paused as if she was remembering the night all over again and reliving it. "It was a freak party." She stated after a while. "Seeing who could get the biggest weirdo to show up. Yeah, they took one look at us, and they just they knew we were different." Jade continued, pausing again. "It should have ended there. I could have stopped it, but I froze. Maybe I didn't want to prove them right about us being different." The vampire stated, sounding upset almost.
"Or maybe part of me wanted it to happen." She paused. in your opinion, something wasn't right. It seemed as if she was trying to search for something but couldn't hold onto it. "Everything after that's a blur." She paused again. "I did find out something that night. I'm a ripper." Jade stated. You read somewhere about this guy, Stefan Salvatore, that he was a Ripper as well, someone who can't stop feeding until their heads fall off.
You guessed after he died, Alaric opened up the school for his sake since he was apparently such a great guy. "That was the worst moment of my life. You think I didn't feel any remorse for what happened. But I did. Shame. Guilt. Panic. I couldn't bear feeling all of it anymore. So... I decided not to." Jade explained, meaning she had turned her humanity off.
"I shut off my humanity that night." She paused, getting up and walking towards Alaric, threateningly. "I was screaming for help. You just couldn't hear it. But being here, where you sent us, I've killed Kai, Diego, and Wendy thousands of times. So maybe you're right after all. Because I've finally become the killer that you thought I was." Jade continued, leaning on both your chair and Josies.
You and Josie could tell on Alarics face that he was remorseful. "I'm sorry I didn't recognize the signs." He apologised.
"You were too busy protecting your daughters." Jade stated, running her hand softly through Josies hair. "And this new mystery girl that you seem fond of, your niece." Jade then did the same thing to you. Both you and Josie letting out shaking breathes.
You may be the Tribrid and all, but after being knocked out and the amount of blood that had gone down your face was not a good sign so doing anything supernatural probably would be bad for your sake. Jade chuckled. "You're good at that. Let's just see how good." Jade continued, walking up to Alaric, breaking his chains that you and Josie had put on.
"Come with me. There's a game I want to play." Jade told the older man. Alaric got up the chains falling off of him.
ââââ
"And this is the fun part." Jade stated happily, pushing Alaric in the back, making him almost fall forwards. "It's what we do with Kai. Basically, it's hide-and-seek. You run and hide," She pushed Alaric again. "and I seek." She concluded.
Alaric turned around to look at her, coming to a stop. "No." He stated, his tone kind of scared.
Jade looked at him like he was delusional. "Uh, yes. Or else I will hurt Josie and Kate. I will hurt them so bad that they will be begging for me to kill them." Jade explained.
Alaric angrily glared at her, sending knives her way. "Kate can't die, you'll just be activating her vampire side." Alaric explained angrily.
Jade thought nothing of it and instead carried on. "Come on. It's supposed to be fun. You know what? I'll even give you a five-minute head start. And if you can survive being hunted for twenty-four hours, I will let your daughter and niece live." She paused, looking him dead in the eyes. "I mean, that's all you really care about, right?" She questioned.
"Fine." Alaric listened, joining in on this 'fun' game. "Let's play." He whispered, turning around and hurriedly walked off through the woods.

You had fallen unconscious, again. The wound was completely healed thanks to your vampire blood but having a concussion is something that cannot be healed, sadly. Soon you felt hands lightly slapping you awake. "Kate." It called but it sounded distant. "Kate." It called again but this time closer. "Kate." It called one last time, causing you to jolt awake.
You then felt the hands take off the bandanna wrapped around your mouth and untie your arms. "Kate, I need you to stay awake, all right?" The voice questioned, it was Josie. You slightly nodded your head but groaned with the sound of ringing filled your ears, causing you to hold your head in pain. "Who is this?" Josie questioned.
You started getting up, only to fall back into the chair, groaning. You looked up at Josie to see who she was talking to, Josie realised and mouthed 'Kai'. "I hate you." Josie said after a while, causing you to be extremely confused. "I hate you for everything that you've done to my family, and I am never helping you get out of here. You're a liar, and nothing you ever say will matter to me." Josie spoke again after a moment.
"I don't believe you." Josie said into the phone after a while. "Maybe." Josie said, casting a glance at you before at the Sand Clock that was sticking out of the bag. You followed her eyesight, realising that Kai most likely had a plan that involved the Sand Clock.
It was quiet for a little but. "What? How?" Josie questioned. It became quiet for a good five minuets but it felt like ten. "Oh, my God." Realisation hit Josie, making you get up slowly and look at her confused. "I know where you are." Josie said.
You got close to the phone so you could hear. "Hey, thanks for all the stories about Malivore, tell Kate I said thanks, too. A portal to another dimension sounds pretty good to me right about now." You heard Kai say.
You grabbed the phone, now you were speaking. "No, no, no. Kai, listen to me, Malivore is a hell dimension. It's eternal darkness. You'll be trapped forever, and alone." You explained, actually worried for the guy.
"Yeah, I've been trapped and alone for most of my life. I could use the change of scenery." Kai said, you let out a groan and handed the phone back to Josie. "So, I'd smash that Sandclock in the next few seconds if I were you, 'cause I'm about to take a swan dive into oblivion, and I'd hate for you to forget the only thing that can save you." Kai concluded his explanation. "Good luck, kiddo." He whispered before hanging up.
Josie threw the phone to the floor and hurried over to the Sand Clock. "Josie!" You yelled, going to follow her. "Josie stop!" You yelled but she didn't listen but you stopped when she screamed and threw the Sand Clock to the floor, officially breaking it.
Both you and Josie were pushed back the amount of force the black magic explosion had, all of it going into Josie as fast as it could. Luckily you didn't get knocked unconscious but instead got up from the floor and were beside Josie, worried. You watched as she opened her eyes, only to see they were black as the magic fully consumed her.
