"I just-I grabbed the strongest one I could find." Hope said sadly, knowing she was just blinded by her obsession with getting you back.

MG stayed quiet for a few seconds. "Then I guess we both messed up." MG stated. Hope looked at the ground before back at MG. "I told Alyssa that I'm into Kym." MG worriedly said.

Hope widened her eyes. "Go. I'll take care of this." Hope stated. As soon as she said that, MG vamped out of there to go find Alyssa and Kym. Hope then worriedly looked down at the ascendant before getting up and running her hands through her hair.

Just then she was shot by an arrow and fell to the floor in pain while Cupid just stared at her creepily.

MG vamped to where Kym was, finding Kaleb with her and an empty library. "Kym!" He exclaimed as he stopped in front of them. "Sweet, you're okay. I'll explain later, but I got to get you out of here." MG said in a hurried tone, worried for the girl.

"Oh, she's not going anywhere with you." Kaleb cut in. Kym looked between the two confused, MG starring at Kaleb confused as well. "I saw you on that date." He continued. MG then realised but ignored it.

"The date that you ruined?" He questioned with sass.

"Ruined?" Kaleb repeated. "It didn't look so ruined with you vamping your tongue down Alyssa Chang's throat." Kaleb pushed MG slightly, getting on his nerves.

When Kaleb said that, MG looked at Kym, knowing he was put on the spot. "What?" She questioned, hurt and confused.

"That is not how it happened." MG commented like a robot. "That was a part of an incredibly poorly-thought-out but well-intentioned plan." MG explained — badly — on the spot.

Kaleb hummed sarcastically in response. "Yeah, you see this? This is exactly why I didn't want you two dating." Kaleb said, angry MG would do something like that to someone he lied.

"We can talk about this later, but right now - we got to jet, man. Come on." MG explained in a hurried tone once again.

As soon as he turned around to start running away, Alyssa was there, an axe ready in her hand to kill Kym so she could have MG all to herself. Kaleb and MG both vamped to Alyssa but she was quick to react and chanted a spell. "Morabor!" She held her hand forward, this spell immediately slowed the vampires down into what looked like an action movie. "Sorry. This is between us girls." Alyssa said angrily.

'Cupid' was now inside the same room as Hope and was lifting himself off of the ground. Hope laid on her back, breathing heavily as she stared at him. "I thought I killed you." She breathed out, holding the arrow in her stomach.

'Cupid' looked down at her. "No, you thought you killed Cupid." He stated. He started walking forward threateningly. "But I am his taller, hotter, cooler, older brother Pothos." He continued. Hope said nothing in return as she grunted pulling the arrow out of her stomach. He made a fake sore face as he watched. "Can't imagine that Burning Love arrow feels too good, does it?" He questioned.

Hope continued to breath heavily as she held her wound, pain emitting from the pressure she was holding. "It burns you from the inside out until your whole body is reduced to ash. Save for your juicy, delicious heart." Pothos continued. Hope then started to move backwards a little as he growled, barking his teeth.

"Hey!" Landon then ran inside the room, glaring at Pothos. "Eat me instead." Landon continued.

Pothos got up from over Hope and faced Landon, laughing a little. "A weak loser heart or badass witch heart tenderized by one of my arrows?" He questioned like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "I'm good, thanks." He said afterwards.

Landon held up an around. "How about now?" He questioned before stabbing himself with the arrow.

Hope looked up at Landon. "Landon-" She called, knowing her protests would do nothing to stop him, she thought she'd at least try and stop him, for your sake.

Alyssa held the axe as she slammed in through the table, Kym gripping it while it was stuck. "Can we talk about this like the mature women we are?" Kym asked, scared.

"Okay, let's talk." Alyssa said aggressively as she body slammed Kym away. Alyssa pulled the axe out of the table. "Do you know how long I've waited for MG to pay attention to me? And then you show up and sweep him off his feet?" Alyssa angrily yelled, going again at Kym. "A human? Like, have standards, MG." Alyssa stated, looking back at a slow motion MG.

Alyssa then swung again, Kym still dodging it. "Shoot your shot, then! MG's apparently open for business. We've never even been on a date." Kym explained, scared and angry but Alyssas actions towards her.

"Our date was amazing. Until he said that he doesn't want me. He wants you!" Alyssa exclaimed again, swinging the axe. Kym moved again, causing Alyssa to smash a chair.

Alyssa swung again, only for it to meet the floor. Kym took this as an opportunity to kick the axe away, only for Alyssa to grab the broken off chair leg, holding it up at her. "So, if I can't have him, no one can." Alyssa then walked towards MG, stopping in front of him. "It was fun while it lasted." She then held up the stake, getting ready.

Kym then rushed forward, grabbing a large book off of the table and slamming it into the back of Alyssas head, causing the spell to break. Kym dropped the book and ran into Kalebs arms. "Kaleb..." She cried.

"Kym, you all right? Okay, it's okay. You got her. You got her." Kaleb reassured into the crook of her neck.

Landon walked froward, throwing the arrow to Pothos' feet, the arrow disappearing within seconds since it was just used. "Epic love arrow. You brought out the big guns." He commented, locking eyes with Landon.

Landon nodded. "That's right. Well, you've never eaten a heart as full of love as mine is for my sister." Landon responded.

"Is that why you were unloading all your relationship problems and sibling problems on me?" Pothos questioned.

"That stuff I said doesn't matter. The love that Kate and I have for each other is something you probably never had. I never thought it was possible to care for your sibling as much as I care for her. The only problem with our relationship is that I have no idea why she picked a guy to stand by for his whole life." Landon explained, speaking the truth.

Hope watched as Landon spoke, looking between the interaction. All Hope could think of was how much he probably wanted to tell you. "That's just my arrow talking." Pothos said, doubting any of this was true.

Landon walked to the side as Pothos walked forward. "Is it?" he questioned, walking out of the room and into the hallway. "I don't really feel the difference." He said, panting. "I already love and care for Kate with all my heart. I don't want to live without her but I know that I'm gonna die of old age while she might become a Tribrid, along with her." Landon continued, pointing at Hope.

"So if you're going to kill her," Landon kept his finger on Hope knowing that if she died and actually didn't come back, you'd be heart broken. "you need to kill me, too." Landon finished, he was doing this for you and him.

Hope crawled to the door way to watch. "If you insist." Pothos said, a smirk relevant on his face. He placed a hand on Landon's shoulder before punching his hand through Landon's chest cavity to grab his heart.

Hope lifted herself up so she was resting on her elbow."Landon!" She exclaimed.

Landon looked over at Hope, pain written on his features before his body fell limp and Pothos held Landon's heart in his hands. Pothos growled lightly before turning to Hope, seeing she had full black eyes like she had done black magic. "Don't worry. You're next." He threatened.

Pothos opened his mouth, biting into Landon's heart, enjoying Hopes fearful look. He was about to go to Hope but stopped when he started having trouble breathing. Desiccation veins you'd most likely find on a vampire appeared all over Pothos.

He gagged and breathed heaving as he looked over at Hope. "Your girlfriends brother's smarter than he looks." He stated before groaning, falling limp on the floor and dying.

Hope stood in the room, pacing back and forth as she waited for Landon to resurrect. Once a bright flame emitted from the bathroom, she turned around, waiting for the fire to disappear before heading inside.

She started jogging when she heard rustling and watched as Landon broken the cocoon. "Hey. Hey." Hope breathed out, bending down so she could be some what eye level with him.

Landon breathed heavily as he looked at her. "Hope." He said.

"Hi." Hope said again.

Landon looked between her eyes. "You're okay. It worked." He said.

Hope looked over the ash on him before looking at his eyes. "Yeah, your plan to get your heart eaten in front of me? Yeah, it worked. Just be glad your sister wasn't here." Hope commented. Landon chuckled. "What did you do?" Hope questioned, confused how he figured out how to kill Pothos.

Landon let out a sigh. "After you left the bar, we figured out that wasn't actually Cupid. It was one of the other gods of love." Landon explained.

Hope nodded. "Yeah, you know, I learned that the hard way when Pothos introduced himself to me." Hope explained as well.

"Oh." Landon said. "You were one step ahead of us, then. We just knew that they each had a different weakness, so I ate sheep's brain, um, hemlock, molten silver, yew bark, red wine and devil's ivy, a toxic plant otherwise known as 'Pothos'." He breathed out, leaning back in the bath tub.Hope chuckled. "Guess that was the one." Landon stated.

"You did all that to save me?" Hope questioned, generally confused.

Landon nodded. "I'd do it again and again and again since Kate isn't here to save you. When she's gone, I step up." Landon explained.

Hope rolled her eyes, shoving Landon slightly. "Okay, show-off." She smiled, taking out her hair clip. "You, uh, should clean up." Hope stated before getting up to walk out of the bath room so he could get the ash off.

Before Hope could leave, Landon called her. "Hope?" He called. She turned back to him, locking eyes to see what he wanted. "Have you figured out a way to get her back?" Landon questioned, worried for his sister.

Hope sighed, leaning against the door. "I'm still trying. Alyssa broke the ascendant so it's going to be harder but we'll get her back. As well as the twins and Dr.Saltzman." hope explained, earning a nod from Landon.

She then walked out, knowing she had to figure out a way try and get you back, as well as the Saltzmans, now.

Hope stood in the library, reading everything on Gemini Ascendants and how to possibly repair them. "Hey." Landon said, all cleaned up now.

Hope looked up before back down at the book she was holding. "Hey." She replied.

Landon stopped walking as was a few feet next to her. "Am I interrupting something?" He questioned.

Hope let out a sigh, looking back up at him. "Just me, um, trying and failing to find a way to bring Kate and the Saltzmans back." Hope glanced at his eyes but looked down, avoiding eye contact.

It was quiet for a little bit, Hope now looking up into Landons eyes. "Look, I know I've also been reluctant to let you step up. But obviously you can handle yourself and once Kate is back I will tell her." Hope smiled at Landon, knowing he would appreciate it. "Besides, I don't have all the answers either." She continued.

It became silent again. "Hey." Landon whispered. "Don't worry. We won't give up until we find a way to get 'em back." Landon responded.

Hope leaned on the table and watched Landon that was to her left. "Did you mean what you said about not knowing why Kate stood by you your whole life?" Hope questioned.

Landon looked down at the books, surprised Hope would ask that. "Oh, uh, I-I mean- maybe. Sometimes." Landon replied but it sounded like he was lying.

Hope then walked off to the stairs that he a bag on it. Landon watched as Hope pulled something out. It was a piece of paper. Hope opened it and handed it to Landon to read. "What is this?" Landon questioned.

"Just read it." Hope said, smiling a little. "She wrote it when she got back. I saw it when I was looking for the ascendant. She wrote one for both of us." Hope explained.

Landon nodded before looking down at the piece of paper and reading it. " 'Landon's patient, trusting, kind, and a thousand other things I never was or possibly could be.' " Landon started. " 'So, if all I ever have is the memory of the way he cared for me, then I will survive being forgotten without becoming the full Tribrid hopefully.' " Landon finished reading.

Hope looked up at Landon and saw his smile. "Yours was a lot less sweeter then mine." Hope explained, joking slightly.

Landon laughed. "Oh really?" He questioned.

Hope nodded. "Mine was more loving than yours." Hope jokingly flicked her hair and walked over to the table that had the books on it, Landon followed. "Alright, let try and figure out a way to get them back." Hope then got serious as both of them started looking through books.

A.N: sorry this took so long to update 😭😭 ive been sick and just have been extremely tired to update but now i have! btw next chapter we get to see how Kate reacts to Kai, her uncle shes never heard about. hehe
