RECAP
Alyssa let out a sigh. "Fine. It couldn't be worse than this." Alyssa replied.
You rolled your eyes, sick of this. "I don't know." You started. "Being alone in a fricken room with you?" You questioned, it being rhetorical. "As your roommate, that sounds like lucifer himself." You continued, earning 'oohs' form your comment.
"Being bossed around by you?" Hope questioned. "That just sounds like torture." Hope continued, earning more 'oohs'.
Alyssa looked around, not liking being put down. Emma looked at you and Hope in disbelief. Just then you and Hope heard growling from the side of your ears, but you both weren't scared and didn't even look at it. "Good, Kate. Good, Hope. Don't let anyone make you look weak." The mysterious voice stated.
ââââ
You and Hope walked through the halls before entering the main area. A guy walking by holding a milkshake was about to walk by, you wanted it so you took it from his grasp. "Hey!" He exclaimed but didn't do anything about it.
Hope came to a stop, causing you to stop as well. She then started walking again and stopped in front of a girl in high heels. "Cute shoes." Hope commented, chuckling. The girl smiled at Hopes comment. Hopes laughter then came to a stop. "They'd look better on me." Hope held up her right hand and clicked her fingers, her shoes going onto the girls and Hope getting the heals.
The girl looked down, huffing before walking away angrily.Hope turned to you and slightly smiled. "See you at the 'witch therapy' thing." She said, giving you a peck on the lips before leaving.
Just then someone started speaking from behind you. "Hey. How'd it go with Alyssa Chang? You guys BFF's?" The familiar voice of Landon questioned you, you turned around halfway through his questioning.
You started smiling but stopped when you heard the voice that didn't scare you. "You cannot protect him. Get rid of him before you lose him." The mysterious voice said.
Your semi-smile dropped and you were now giving a cold stare. "Your advise was useless and always will, Landon, just like you." You commented as you looked him up and down before walking off, anger suddenly coursing through your veins.
Landon scoffed, and walked away, picking up something was obviously wrong with you.
ââââ
Landon was sat in his room, reading books surrounded by a lot of scattered books. Hearing a knock at his door, he looked up. "Hey, Wade." Landon greeted. Wade held up a book and was pointing to it. "Uh, you know I'm always down for more adventures of Magnus the Warrior and G'nash the Bugbear but I got an emergency brewing here." Landon explained to the non-witch, pointing at the book he was reading.
"Does it have anything to do with Hope and Kate acting like Alyssa Chang two point o? 'Cause... I've got a theory." Wade stated, tapping the book.
Landon looked up at Wade, happy he might have a solution. "Ding. Ding." Landon said, as if he had won the lottery. "Get in here. What do you got?" Landon questions, getting up.
The both of them walk towards each other. "We're dealing with a Qareen." Wade opened the book and flipped to the page of the newest monster. "It's an Arabian monster that whispers insecurities and feeds off discord." Wade explained.
Landon looked at the book, then at Wade, then back to the book. "Its superpower is making people angry?" He questioned, confused.
"Uh, it feeds off the strife, becoming stronger and affecting more and more people until it materializes into our plane." Wade explained, Landon walking away, thinking about it. "Right now it's out of phase. It's invisible and intangible." Wade continued.
"I thought the Malivore portal is closed." Landon exclaimed, thinking out loud. "I mean, isn't it?" He questioned, turning around swiftly and made eye contact with Wade.
Wade was already looking at Landon. "I don't know how it got here, but it's definitely real." He came to a pause, debating whether or not to say what he wanted to say. "I saw it." Wade blurted out, thinking it was best to say.
Landon had looked away no was looking at the book but hearing that he looked back at Wade, confused once again. "You said it's invisible." Landon responded, making a point.
Wade looked down, shaking his head. "Not to fairies." He stated, now making eye contact.
ââââ
You and Hope were now in the witch meditation group for Coven Day. "So, we are going to try a meditative exercise..." Emma started but you zoned out while Hope semi-listened.
The mysterious voice then returned. "They are so soft." It started. "Only you can protect them all." It then stopped talking, going away.
You took in a breathe before looking up at Emma. "Really? Some hurt feelings, and this is what we're doing to deal with it?" You questioned the ex-counsellor. "It's no wonder why I have to do somethings myself." You mumbled the last part.
Emma was now standing between you and Hope but over your shoulder. "Sounds like this will be especially helpful for some of us." Emma stated, targeting you and Hope mainly. "Now, close your eyes. Focus on your breathing." Emma started, exhaling in and out. You rolled your eyes before closing them. "And embrace the silence." She finished.
Just the the doors abruptly open, Lizzie walking in. "Emma, could I borrow you for a sec?" Lizzie questioned the witch.
Emma watched the blonde Saltzman. "We're in the middle of something." Emma responded.
You opened your eyes and looked back at Lizzie, which Hope was already doing. "So am I, and my thing doesn't include, like, 'Kum-Bah-Yah' circle time." Lizzie sassily replied, obviously really needing to talk to Emma.
The witch doesn't let Lizzie win though as she sarcastically laughs before stopping. "Sit." She said, smiling. Lizzie let out a sigh, rolling her eyes in annoyance. "You and your sister should have been here from the start." You and Hope turned back so you weren't looking at Lizzie anymore. "Again. Eyes closed. Focus on the silence." Emma stated once again.
You didn't shut your eyes this time as you really did not want to be here. Hope on the other hand listened to Emma. Lizzie then grabbed a chair and started dragging it on the floor, the scraping becoming loud.
Lizzie stopped when her chair hit yours and a random girls chair. Lizzie patted her shoulder fro the girl to move, which she did, and Lizzie moved the chair forward again, sitting down next to you, letting out a sigh. You watched as your cousin crossed her arms in annoyance. "Thank you." Emma stated happily.
Lizzie noticed your starring and starred back at you. "What?" She questioned, annoyed. You rolled your eyes before looking back at Emma, hearing Lizzie scoff at your weirdness.
"Eyes closed. Focus on the silence." Emma once again stated. Everyone eyes were closed and focusing on the silence. "Cessabit orbit." Emma chanted. "I"ve summoned a sphere. It represents your collective thoughts and emotions." Emma explained. "Our goal is to keep it calm and green that represents serenity and peace of mind." Emma explained, the green light seeping through your eyelids from how bright it is.
Everyone was silent before someone spoke up, anger laced in her voice. "I know you're just using me for cryptozoology homework." A girl randomly stated.
It became quiet again until another girl spoke up. "Me? I know that you're the one talks behind my back." The other girl angrily replied.
The sphere started switching between green and red. "Your negative thoughts are polluting the sphere, changing it color. Focus witches." Emma voiced, calling out to everyone.
It became quiet again. You opened your eyes, done with this and watched as Alyssa Chang looked at you. "I don't know what's worse, Kate letting Josie's loser ex-boyfriend break up with her because she came back, Lizzie getting dumped by Sebastian when she's the only girl he's met since fifteen-o-nine, or Hope kissing Landon when she still remembered Kate." Alyssa stated, feeling like shes all superior.
You, Lizzie and Hope all glared at Alyssa as she said that and stood up angrily. "At least I have a family, unlike you, orphan." Lizzie fired back angrily. The sphere now just red.
Hope and you didn't take it personally as you and Lizzie were related and Hope was your girlfriend. "Incendia." Alyssa chanted, aiming for Lizzie.
You walked forward and raised your hand up, catching the flame and letting it get brought into without pain, so it wouldn't hit Lizzie. Thanks to magic, you didn't feel pain and it was gone, like it disappeared into thin air.
Overlapping chatter started as a giant fight broke out. "I can't believe it! You are such a bitch, Alyssa!" You exclaimed angrily, still continuing to fight with Alyssa.
Emma clicked her fingers and the sphere broke, butterfly like things flying into the ceiling. "That's enough!" Emma yelled, all the students looking at her. "Everyone, go to your rooms and cool off." Emma said. The students started leaving, meanwhile Alyssa purposely shoved her shoulder in Lizzie.
You started realising something was wrong as everyone was just angry and nothing else. Lizzie went to go attack Alyssa but you stopped her by grabbing her arm. "Lizzie. Lizzie!" You said, catching her attention. She stopped and turned around, Hope joining you and her. "Something's wrong." You said, your voice low.
Lizzie looked down at you and Hope. "I will tell you what is wrong, okay? That hair. That shirt." Lizzie stopped as she realised. You sent her a glare as your shirt was just a plain black shirt with a random photo on it. "Oh, okay. I see you have a point there." Lizzie said, seeing that you were right. "What is going on?" She questioned, generally confused.
ââââ
You, Hope and Lizzie walked through the halls, arguments were everywhere so something was definitely not right. "Which way?" You heard Landon say, so you kept walking down the hall to see him turn his left which is your right.
He was witch Wade who was looking around for something while holding a book. "I can't see it. I lost it." Wade responded.
"Lost what? Landon's fashion sense?" Hope questioned, you looked over at her but she didn't look at you. "Sorry, I didn't mean that." Hope quickly caught herself, raising her hand.
Landon and Wade look back at the three of you. Landon looked at Hope with a face that was confused and a little bit upset. "You said my look was classic." Landon responded.
You glared at Hope as he said that. "When was this?" You questioned her, anger in your tone.
Meanwhile Lizzie decided to ask a question that seemed very much like something she'd say. 'And you believed that?" Lizzie questioned. "Sorry." She paused, thinking for a moment. "I think." Lizzie continued, confused with herself.
You ignored Lizzie since you were focused on Hope. "I said that to him when we were still dating." Hope responded.
You nodded your head, licking your lips. You believed her since she's your girlfriend and she would never do that, well, you'd hope. "Well, I'm living a lie." Landon commented, bring all our attention to him.
Wade then decided to speak up as all of you started walking down the hall. "We're looking for the Qareen. It's a monster that makes everyone act like..." Wade didn't know how to describe it.
"You." Landon finished it for him, glancing back at you three.
Wade then decided to continue. "It's invisible; only fairies can see it." Wade said seriously.
You, Lizzie and Hope all glanced at each other as you all thought the same thing. "Do one of you want to take this, or should I?" Lizzie questioned you and Hope.
"It's too easy. Can't even get any pleasure out of it." Hope decided to take this. "Sorry." She immediately commented, mentally groaning at herself.
You and Lizzie smirked as she said that. All of you came to a stop when Landon and Wade turned around. "Hey! Focus." Landon basically ordered the three of you. "It's gaining strength by the minute. Once it's strong enough to manifest itself on a, um, non-fairy plane." Landon trailed off towards the end, pointing at Wade. "Anyway, we have to figure out a way to stop it." Landon quickly summarised.
Lizzie was now stifling laughter. "It is so much less impressive when you give the hero speeches." Landon's den Wade stared at Lizzie, Landon looking done with her combatÃs. "That was all me." She happily stated.
You pinched the bridge of your nose as Lizzie said that. "Okay, what's the plan?" You questioned, looking back up. Wade and Landon didn't say anything, meaning that the did not in fact have a plan to take this monster out.
