RECAP

Landon didn't bother to stare at the five hundred year old vampire. "I was trying to keep everyone safe." He responded with a unlikable tone towards the vampire.

"And did it work?" He asked, being cocky. He didn't get a response though. "Mm. Not that you could have done anything anyway, of course, but if I had a sister that I loved was in danger, I would want to be able to protect her." He continued to be cocky and mean to Landon.

Landon finally looked over at Sebastian, looking at his side profile. He then shoved the playing ball into his stomach. "He'll play." Landon said to the werewolf pack, mainly to Jed.

Someone blows the whistle, allowing the werewolves to know the game has started. All the werewolves start running towards the balls while Sebastian vamp speeds to them and immediately grabs the first ball off the floor.

Everyone was throwing balls at each other, Sebastian vamp speeding around so that he doesn't get hit, only for some of his dodgeball teams to get hit instead. After catching a ball, throwing it, to which it bounced then the ball gets thrown back to him and gets lodged into the wall, Sebastian started getting cocky.

That was until a ball was thrown into his face earning a couple groans from the werewolves. Landon got worried and moved to Sebastian, Jed already next to him. Sebastian wiped his face while he picked up the dodgeball next to him and turned around, facing Jed.

He then started laughing. "Well played, my lupine friend." Sebastian stated, a smile on his face as he held out his hand for Jed to shake.

Jed looked down and gladly started shaking it. "Rematch anytime, bloodsucker." Jed replied.

The both of them laughed. "Anytime." Jed them moved from in front of Sebastian to walking off behind him. Sebastian then looked over at Landon. "This is fun!" Sebastian exclaimed to him.

He then threw the ball into Landons stomach, causing Landon to let out a winded groan from the impact.

You sat in the library, reading a book about the old founding families, especially the parts on the Lockwoods. It was lunch but you weren't hungry and wanted to find out more about your dad. What you found really interesting was that he was a druggie during most of tenth and eleventh grade.

After flipping the next page, Hope walked in. "Kate, why are you in here? Aren't you supposed to be at lunch?" She questioned, walking down a couple steps.

You look up from your book to look at her. "I could ask you the same thing." A smile came onto your face. Hope nodded, letting out a small laugh. "Besides, I'm not hungry and figured I'd learn more about my father since there isn't much here on my mom." You stated.

Hope moved to sit down next to you. "Interesting. What did you learn?" She questioned as she watched you.

"He was a druggie in tenth and eleventh grade." You explained what you had just read.

Hope wasn't that surprised but it was definitely something. "Wow." Was all she said. You nodded your head up and down slowly, unsure of what to say now.

Meanwhile in the Assembly hall, cafeteria, whatever it is called, everyone's eating lunch while Landon has shown Sebastian around a bit more before taking him into the cafeteria to eat lunch.

They walked down the stairs, not saying a word before Landon decided to start talking. "So, you get along with the wolves. Now we just have to see if you fit in with the vampires here. Uh, we can hang out while they eat. Or drink, I guess. Animal blood, of course." Landon explained, crossing his arms as they then came to a stop.

"Of course." Sebastian responded.

A plate then shattered in front of them, Alyssa looked up from looking at the plate surrounded and covered in blood and stared at Sebastiana en Landon. "It slipped." She stated, blood dripping from her hands.

The vamps all stood up, obviously wanting to drink the blood as veins appeared under their eyes and their fangs appeared. This only caused the werewolves to get up and start growling at the vampires.

Dorian then walked in, obviously worried. "Code red! Vamps, clear out. Now!" Dorian ordered to the vamps, causing them all to vamp speed out of the room. Dorian then turned his attention to the werewolves. "Jed, calm your pack down." Dorian ordered.

The pack was snarling in anger, Jed listened to Dorian. "Wolves, follow me." Jed ordered to the pack and started walking out of the room, leaving Landon Sebastian and MG. Dorian gently held onto Alyssa and lead her out of the room.

They all could see MG breathing heavily and trying his best to not go and feed on the blood but the hunger took over and this caused him to start vamp speeding.

Sebastian reacted quickly and stopped MG in his traps, both of them struggling against each other. "Breathe, Milton, breathe! Focus only on the sound of my voice!" Sebastian exclaimed. "Breathe! Breathe. Breathe." Sebastian continued.

MG was shuddering as he calmed down, controlling his hunger. "Breathe. The urge will pass." Sebastian stated calmly.

MG was now calmer than before, allowing Sebastian to let go. "I'm sorry." MG whispered to Sebastian, before looking at Landon. "I'm sorry." He whispered again before vamp speeding out.

Sebastian then turned around to look at Landon who was already starring at the much older man. "The witch, she broke that plate on purpose." Sebastian started. "Between her and your... budding Ripper, are you sure it is me that you should be worried about?" He questioned Landon who was just fiddling with his hands, questioning if Sebastian was right or not.

After lunch, you had a free period but sadly Hope didn't and she had to go to class, you on the other hand just wondered the halls until you went back to the library. "Those are advanced chain spells. You would need another witch." You heard Dorian speak, but not sure who he was speaking to.

You walked forward a bit more and saw that it was Josie, your cousin who currently hates you for no reason. "What kind of assignment was it?" Dorian asked a father a moment of silence.

Walking out of your 'hiding spot' if you want to call it that, you spoke up, nervously playing with you hands. "I can help." Josie turned around and looked at you, Dorian doing the same. "I'm sure we can handle it. I mean, it could be good practice for us." You stated, awkwardly smiling.

Josie turned around and looked at Dorian, doing a tight smile. Dorian exhaled sharply before responding."Have fun." Dorian said to Josie who then walked up the stairs and past you.

Josie watched but then closed the book, placing other stuff on top of it. "Thank you. Uh, but I actually don't need any help, so..." Josie trailed off, unsure of what to else to say.

She then grabbed the book in her hands, comfortably placing them on her arm and torso. "Lizzie and Hope told me about the Sandclock. Lizzie thought I could help." You explained. "Hope was going to help but shes busy with her classes..." You trailed off.

Josie was confused on how you could help. "How?" She questioned you, now standing in front of you.

"Hope explained to me that her friend, Vincent, apparently told her a story about Mora Miseriums that hold the effects of black magic," You pointed to her bag that was big enough to hold the sand clock. "and how dangerous they can be if they break." You paused, crossing your arms over your chest. "Look, Hope said you can't nullify the black magic inside, but you can put a protective barrier around the outside." Josie locked eyes with you, listening to every possible solution.

After a moment of silence you continued. "And luckily, Hope told me the 'good' spell for that." You held up the piece of paper Hope gave you. Josie didn't say anything as she looked between the paper and your eyes.

"Okay, this is the final part of the test: hanging with the witches." Landon stated as they walked to where the witches hang out. Landon then looked over at Sebastian. "Um, I'm warning you, don't push any buttons." Landon briefly stated to the vampire, walking up the stairs as they entered the Old Mill.

Sebastian looked around, taking in the overgrown foliage consuming the wood, wondering how it is still standing. "Or you'll do what, die all over me?" He sarcastically questioned.

Landon came to a stop, causing Sebastian to come to a stop. "It's not me you should be worried about." Landon used Sebastians words against him, although, Sebastian didn't pick up on that.

The vampire looked down at Landon. "Will you relax? Witches love me." He replied, walking forward, urgency lacing his voice as he wanted to meet the witches and hopefully run into the witch he has grown to love. The witches were chatting, Lizzie looked up from doing something and saw Sebastian, immediately looking down. "Hello, Elizabeth." Sebastian greeted.

All the witches, including Lizzie, looked up to stare at the vampire. "Oh... hey." Lizzie said, acting as if she didn't see him but also having a hint of annoyance in her voice.

Alyssa Chang than walked forward a bit. "Oh, you again." Sebastian said as he turned his attention to the witch that was bleeding not that long ago. "I must say, you just heal quickly." Sebastian commented, walking forward, Landon trailing to make sure he doesn't do anything.

"Right? It's like... magic or something." Alyssa sarcastically stated.

Sebastian then turned his gaze to a clear ball being held in her hands. "And what magic is that crystal ball for?" He questioned.

"Empathic trances. It lets us read feelings that are buried deep down." She explained. "Can we read yours? Vampires have heightened emotions. It'll be a total rush." Alyssa stated to Sebastian.

Lizzie looked down at Alyssa Chang. "I, for one, would like that." The blonde commented, smiling.

Sebastian looked up at Lizzie. "Then of course. I do love a good parlour trick." He responded.

Alyssa walked forward, holding the ball up towards Sebastian, it then lit up into a soft glow. She then stepped back and started feeling what emotion or emotions were coming off as she had her eyes closed. "I sense..." She then opened her eyes. "...fear. The modern world is terrifying you. You're afraid they won't let you stay here at the school." Alyssa explained to Sebastian.

His face went from smiling to one of anger. "That's not true." He stated immediately.

"You're afraid they're gonna find out all the things you've done and throw you away, like trash off the side of a boat." Alyssa continued.

"Stop." Sebastian ordered softly.

Landon tried cutting in. "Maybe we should-" He didn't get far as Alyssa continued.

"You know Lizzie's better than you and that you don't deserve her." Alyssa finished explaining to Sebastian what he was feeling.

Landon grabbed Sebastians arm to pull him away so a sight wouldn't happen but thats exactly what happened as Sebastian immediately turned around and threw Landon to the other side of the Mill.

He turned back to stare at the witches, obviously angry. All the witches, besides Lizzie, held up their hands and started casting an aneurysm spell to stop him from doing anything. Sebastian let out painful groans and grunts as he wanted the aneurysm spell to go away.

Landon got up and stared at Sebastian as he held his hands towards his head and took some steps away. "Stop!" Lizzie exclaimed, extremely worried. "Stop! Let him go!" Lizzie continued, walking down the steps and rushing to the front of the witches.

Sebastian panted as he was exhausted from the pain and fell to the floor, weak. He then stood up after gaining some strength, staring at Lizzie with a scared but sad expression before walking down the steps and vamp speeding away.

Lizzie looked at Landon who also looked at her, although Lizzie looked down, angry and upset at herself.
