RECAP

You and Hope made eye contact, confused and amazed Santa was real. "Santa? I can't believe you're real." You stated as you looked away from hope and to Santa.

Santa chuckled lightly. "Well, of course you can! You see, my dear Kate, belief is what makes things real." He stated to you.

Hope grabbed your hand and interlaced them, you obviously enjoying the warmth her touch gave you. "Uh..." Alaric trailed off.

Santa moved his eyesight towards Alaric. "Yes?" He asked Alaric.

"How did you know her name?" He questioned Santa.

————

You and Hope walked down the steps to be in front of Alaric. "Because everyone was a child once, and I remember each and every one. Besides, a name like Alaric is pretty tough to forget. Hо! Hо! Hо! Hо! Hо! Hо!" Santa then started laughing.

All the students also joined in, including you and Hope as Alaric is a very hard name is forget. You and Hope turned your heads to Ric as he was fake laughing. "I-I must thank all of you for bringing me back. It's been hard, all these years, being trapped in that awful, dark place, unable to spread joy around the world..." Santa trailed off as screeching was heard.

The Krampus was still alive. Everyone gasped and moved backwards a little while Santa turned around to look at the ugly monster who was roaring at Santa. "...because of you." Santa angrily said.

The Krampus then ripped the lights around him so he could be free, he then pulled out the arrow that was meant to be in his heart. "I thought I killed that damn thing." Ric exclaimed.

Santas back was now facing all the people in the room. "Language, Dr.Saltzman. Don't blame yourself for missing. The Krampus' heart is very small, and this..." Santa trailed off. "...is my fight." He stated.

Hope pulled out the knife Clarke gave her and was about to fight. "Wait, Hope, no. You heard the man. This one's personal." Ric stated.

Hope then lowered the knife and placed it on the floor. "So you thought you could steal Christmas, did you? Hо, Hо..." Santa then punched the Krampus in the face, it tumbling to the side, Santa earning gasps from students. "...no." He angrily said.

Santa kept throwing blows after blows on the Krampus' face, earning 'ooo's. Santa then grabbed the Krampus and pinched him before speeding away, glaring at him then speeding back and punching him. "Dudes fast." Kaleb commented. "Like, really fast."

He did the speed again but this time, he head butted the Krampus which caused the monster to fall to the floor. You put your head in your hands as this was a pretty lame fight, if a vampire, werewolf or witch were fighting the Krampus, they would rip his tiny heart out.

Santa then put the monster in a head lock and rammed him in a pile of empty boxed. Cheering and applause as the Krampus stayed lying on the floor, obviously weak "How do you think I make it to all those houses in one night?" Santa questioned the students he was facing which a click of a tongue, which wasn't towards you or Hope.

The Krampus then got up and acted like a bull, rubbing his feet against the wood before charging at Santa. "You better watch out!" Alaric exclaimed.

Santa turned around to late and was thrown into the air by the Krampus, he then landed int he tree that was working. And pulled it to the floor. The tree was all right but Santa, not so much.

The Krampus then walked forward, obviously going towards Santa. "Santa!" You called, grabbing the knife off the floor and threw it to Santa who caught it. "Ha! Ho, Ho, Ho!" He lifted himself off the floor and attacked the Krampus with the knife.

He stabbed the Krampus, then roughly pulled the knife down which the Krampus let out an excruciating screech. Santa then shoved his hand into the open chest and pulled out his heart.

The Krampus let out one last tiny screech before falling to the floor, dead. Cheering and applause once filled the room again. He then held up the heart. "See? Very small indeed." He stated.

You and Hope stared at the heart with disgust as it wasn't a sight you both need to see. Glancing over at Hope, you sent her a disgusted smile while she just laughed at the face you were making.

————

You were now in the hallway, using a telephone which was on the line with Clarke, out of all people surprisingly. "Can't say I expected to talk to you again." You stated.

"Me neither." Clarke responded. "But before I die, I wanted to tell you that you're wrong. I don't hate you." He stated, sounding sincere, a smile creeping to your face. "And that the truth spell you cast on me is still working, obviously." Clarke didn't want to sound like he actually liked you as a friend.

You didn't say anything and instead let out a sigh. "The snow melted. I'm assuming that means the Krampus is dead?" He questioned.

You let out a little laugh, remembering the fight that just happened. "Yup. Santa Claus killed him." You stated. "This Christmas was surprisingly violent." You stated, smiling as it really was violent.

"In that case, I have a clean run to the portal." Clarke became quiet. "At least I can enjoy the last ten minutes of my life." He stated. Obviously he became quiet because he looked at the clock.

You let out a small sigh. "Well... if you want to talk, I'll listen for as long as I can." You honestly said to Clarke, even though you may not like him, he was scared to die and you wanted to be there to comfort him. This lead you to think of him as a friend, never in a million years would you ever think of that, but you did. Clarke is a friend now.

"I... think I'm jealous of you, Kate." Clarke stated, your ere confused by what he meant. "Because you're just as screwed up as I am, but... your friends still love you." Clarke became quiet again. "Guess I always wanted to believe my father could do the same." Clarke said.

You opened your mouth slightly as that was really sad to hear. "Anything can be real if you believe in it enough." You stated towards him.

You obviously couldn't see Clarkes face but he was grateful and happy you told him that. "Merry Christmas, Kate." He said, his voice breaking a little.

A smile creeped onto your face again. "Merry Christmas, Clarke." You responded, hanging up the phone and walking away.

You then walked into Hope. "Hey, you tired?" Hope questioned.

You nodded. "Yeah, but, I'm gonna get some fresh air first." You stated while Hope nodded.

Once you reached the door, you walked outside and closed it, sitting down on the steps. You looked ahead as you saw Santas sleigh leave a red shooting star like thing in the sky and heard his jungle bells jingling. "Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas, Kate!" He yelled for you to hear.

A smiled formed on your face again as you were happy Santa was real, causing you to chuckle. Just then someone walked up to the school, which caused you to look over and see Landon, your smiling dropping. "This is the part where you say something." You stated, Landon taking a couple steps forward as he looked at you on the steps. "Or run."

Landon then started walking faster towards you which caused you to stand up. He then stopped in front of you but not like super close, like and arms reach away. "It's both. Can you please just wait right here? I have something that I really need to tell you. I... I just can't until I've had another conversation first." Landon stated.

You didn't say anything which caused him to go anyway without a response, you then sat down as you didn't want to stand. After what felt like one million years of waiting, he finally returned.

This caused you to stand back up and move to be in front of him near the front door. "I thought leaving was the right thing to do. But I was wrong." Landon started to explain. "That's what I came back to say." He then became quiet. "I missed you, little sister. I-I missed you when I couldn't remember you. I still miss now you as I'm standing here right now." He paused, catching his breathe. "Kate, I missed you when I was dead." Landon paused again.

You were shocked when he said that, did he really miss you that much? "I think I always will." He finished. Tears welled into your eyes as you missed him a lot as well. "This is that part where you say-"

"That I missed you, too," You cut him off. "older brother." Some tears stated to fall. "God, I missed you when you didn't even know it." It then became silent. "But the football uniform you wore..." You trailed off, laughing, Landon chuckling as he knew you were gonna say something mean. "...you looked horrible." You finished, still laughing.

Landon then let out a sigh. "Then there's only one thing left to say." Landon paused, opening his arms. "Or not." He stated.

A large smiled formed on your face as you wrapped your arms around him and hugged him as tightly as you could, him doing the same to you. "I hope you know I love you, brother." You stated into the crook of his neck.

"Me too, sister." He said, both of you getting out of the hug.

"Go inside, looks like you haven't slept in eighty years." You commented while Landon rolled his eyes, causing you to laugh. "Good night." You finished.

Landon smiled at you before disappearing in the school. You then walked forward, into the middle of the sheltered area and looked up, seeing a mistletoe, quickly, you pulled out your phone and called Hope. "Where are you, Kate?" Hope questioned into the phone.

Ignoring her question, a smile formed on your face, again for the millionth time. "Come to me, I'm outside the front of the school." You stated, hanging up the phone.

After a couple of minutes, you heard the door open, so you turned around and saw Hope. "What is it?" She softly asked, confused why you were smiling.

You held out your hand. "Stand next to me." You stated, being vague.

Hope was still extremely confused but listened to you and walked down the steps, grabbing your hand and was now standing in front of you. "Okay, now what?" She asked.

"Look up." You said, letting go of her hand.

Once she did, she saw the mistletoe and a big smiled formed on her face as she knew what that meant. You took this as an opportunity to lean in and kiss her, which you did.

She placed a hand on your cheek and one around your neck, you placed your arms around her torso. The both of you being actual normal teenagers, or the closest thing to them.
