RECAP

"That's a problem, 'cause she's been dead for, like, 500 years." MG responded.

Just then the Croatian broke through the door more but where Landon was and punched him in the stomach, causing him to be shoved to the ground. "We're about to die." Lizzie exclaimed, scared. "Figure something out." She stated before smashing the telephone down and hanging the call up.

Lizzie then looked down at Landon and lifted him up, the two started running but the Croatoan kicked down the door, causing the two to cover their heads to nothing happened and so they couldn't get knocked unconscious.

They continued running, Landon grabbing the candle that didn't do anything to protect them but still grabbed it. The Croatoan still following them, snarling and making whistle noises.

The Saltzman and Kirby locked themselves in the transitional cellar room, both in extreme distressed. "This monster is hunting secrets, not you, so at least it has some taste, unlike my sister." Lizzie stated.

Landon turned around, still holding the candle. "But that's the thing, no matter what Malivore tells the monsters, they always follow their prime directive first. So tell me whatever secret you're keeping, and maybe it'll stop." Landon told Lizzie. Lizzie stayed quiet. "Is it about Kate? It's about Kate, isn't it?" Landon immediately guessed.

Lizzies heart sped up as Landon had guessed right. "I don't know what you're talking about." She lied to Landon and Landon knew she was lying already.

The monster slammed into the door, scaring both of the teens, Landon dropping the dark candle, upon impacting it broke. "Thing was useless anyway." Landon stated and the two started running again to get away.

The ran into a separate part of the cellars, Lizzie coming to a stop. "Well, at least I had an idea." Lizzie stated as they came into the room with the zombie in it. Both of them starring at it.

Landon turned around. "I just had one, too." Landon commented. "Can you make us invisible and break open his cell?" He questioned.

Lizzie looked between the zombie and Landon. "I guess. Why?" She questioned.

Landon lowered his arms from pointing at the cell. "We're gonna do what every great sci-fi franchise does. Kong versus Godzilla, Alien versus Predator." Landon started listing Sci-Fi movies.

Lizzie was confused. "We're gonna suck?" She said.

Landon let out a small sigh, annoyed Lizzie didn't understand. "That's blasphemy. No, we're gonna-we're gonna let the monsters fight." Landon explained.

Lizzie finally understood and rolled her eyes. "Ugh, this is a nerdgasm, not a plan." Lizzie fired.

Landon looked down then back up. "Fine. Then just tell the truth." Landon stated.

Lizzie didn't want to disappoint you, so she grabbed Landons shoulder and started siphoning magic. "Invisique." She chanted, both of them becoming invisible. The door then opened, allowing the zombie to start roaming around. The Croatoan also appeared, stopping as it saw the zombie.

The both monsters started moving towards each other, Lizzie and Landon expecting a fight but instead they both just passed each other, the Croatoan going in front of the cell. "I told you, nerd." Lizzie whisper-shouted at Landon.

Landon looked over at Lizzie. "Shh!" He responded.

"You 'shh'!" Lizzie fired back. "I have a better plan." She whispered before increasing the volume of her voice. "Hey, ugly. Over here." Lizzie called, the Croatoan turning to face her voice. It then walked inside of the cell, the cell door immediately closing afterwards.

It ran to the door as it had just slammed shut, both Lizzie and Landon becoming visible. "Nice work but that's not gonna hold it long, so just tell me the secret." Landon turned around to look at Lizzie.

Lizzie hesitated before shaking her head. "I can't." She responded.

Landon raised his eyebrows a bit. "Why?" He questioned.

Lizzie let out a soft groan. "It would break your heart." Lizzie stated.

The curly haired boy widened his eyes a little. "So this is about me?" He questioned.

The blonde shook her head. "No, it's about all of us." She replied.

Landon started getting frustrated. "Lizzie, since when have you kept your mouth shut about anything? Just tell me." Landon demanded the Saltzman.

Lizzie got annoyed with Landons protests of wanting to know and gave in. "Fine! It's-" Lizzie didn't get to finish.

"Silencio." You clasped your hand into a fist as you, Hope and Rafael walked in. The Croatoan came speeding towards you but the bars stopped it. You looked at it before looking to Landon who looked at you.

The Croatoan snarled at you, your heart beating a bit faster. "So this is about you." Landon stated.

Lizzie turned around, you rolled your eyes and looked at Lizzie, glaring at her. She sent you a sorry look but the Croatoan started getting impatient and started slamming the metal bars. "We have to get out of here." Hope stated.

Landon refused to move. "What are you hiding from everyone?" Landon questioned you.

You stepped forward and put your glare from Lizzie onto him. "There's no time. These bars aren't gonna hold. We have to find some way to stop it." You responded.

Lizzies muffles were heard but since she couldn't speak, no one knew what she was saying. Everyone looked at you and you rolled your eyes, opening your hand, allowing Lizzie to speak. "MG is working on it." She stated. "Also, because of Landon, there is now a zombie on the loose." She looked at Landon before back to you.

Landon looked at Lizzies head. "It was a good idea." He commented.

You ran your hand through your hair before allowing it to fall to your side. "Okay, one monster at a time. Raf, take Landon to Dr.Saltzman. Lizzie, Hope and I will find a way to keep the Croatoan busy." You set out a rough plan. "Let's go." You ordered. You, Hope and Lizzie leaving Rafael and Landon together.

The Croatoan smashed up against the bars. "Hey, come on man. You heard her." Rafael said to Landon and they both started following.

You, Lizzie and Hope walked into the gym after parting ways with the two boys and finally feeling a bit safer than where the Croatoan is. "You were gonna tell Landon everything." You said to Lizzie, turning around and coming to a stop. "We had a deal."

Lizzie looked between your eyes. "Well, things changed. Josie and Landon didn't have sex, which means she won't have sex with your brother that is a Muppet." Lizzie stated.

You and Hope looked at each other while Lizzie moved to shut the gym doors. "Wait. What?!" You two exclaimed, surprised they didn't have sex.

Lizzie moved forward a little. "Shh. Be surprised quietly." She whispered, looking back at you and Hope. "There's still a monster chasing us, remember?" She looked between the two of you.

You and Hope gasped while Lizzie shrieked as the Croatoans hand appeared between the two doors. Lizzie running to stand next to you. "On second thought, be as loud as you want. Because we are so screwed." Lizzie commented as the Croatoan opened the doors.

The three of you moved backwards as the Croatoan moved forwards. "Uh, it feeds on secrets, right? So let us have it, all of it." You stated as you stared at it.

Lizzie shook her head. "I prefer to die with dignity." Lizzie replied to you, causing you to roll your eyes.

Hope decided to cut in. "Okay, fine, I'll start." Hope stated. "Um, I stole your jade butterfly clip in fifth grade." Hope started releasing her secrets she had kept.

Lizzie gasped as Hope said that. "I loved that clip!" Lizzie responded.

Hope ignored Lizzies comment and continued spilling the tea. "Well, I had a crush on Josie for a week when we were fourteen." Hope kept speaking.

You turned your head to look at Hope, you obviously shocked. "Read my lips: the two of you are never happening." Lizzie stated, looking at Hope.

The three of you ended up stopping at a beam, not allowing you to move back anymore. "Uh, Lizzie? Focus." You stated.

Lizzie looked at the beam before back up. "Okay, um, I accidentally killed your hamster. I siphoned you to cheat on finals." Lizzie started now.

"What?!" Hope exclaimed, snapping her head towards Lizzie.

Lizzie looked at Hope and you before back to the monster. "And I actually think you two are kind of cool." Lizzie finished. You felt a warm feeling in your chest when she said that. The screeching from the Croatoan started again. "Kate? Your turn." Lizzie stated.

You let out heavy breathes. "I told Damon Salvatore that I exist. I had a crush on Landons bully back at Mystic Falls High. I had my first taste of alcohol when I was fifteen. And as much as I hate to admit it, it's nice having Lizzie as my cousin." You finished yours. Lizzie looked at you, a small smile on her face while Hope was shocked at the alcohol bit.

The screeching got louder and Lizzies smile faded when it exposed it's stomach and tentacles or something was whipping around. "Okay, it's not working." Hope stated.

You groaned. "It's not gonna stop until everyone knows the secret we've been keeping from them: that I'm back." You stated.

Just then Josie came in. "I'm back, too." She said, the Croatoan looked behind itself to see who it was. It then screeched again. "Harae-tamai Kioku Yomigaerashi-tamae!" Josie yelled, pushing her hands forward as a large amount of black magic was released.

All the black magic went back into Josie after a while but then she dropped unconscious and fell to the hard floor. "Jo!" Lizzie called her sisters name, going to run to her but you grabbed onto her arm as the Croatoan looked back at the three of you, growling before turning away and walking off like nothing happened.

You let out a breathe. "Okay. Hope stay with Lizzie and make sure Josie is okay, I'm gonna go save Landon." You stated, running out of the gym as you didn't want to hear Hopes protests but also because you desperately wanted to save Landon.

You watched as Landon was being dragged by the Croatoan, through the woods. "Can you talk? You know Malivore wants me in one piece, right? So maybe we could find a more comfortable way for me to get to the portal." Landon said to the monster.

Letting out a sigh, you walked out from behind a tree in front of them and raised your hand. "Crescere arbor." You chanted, the Croatoan getting stuck in the one place.

Landon looked over at you while you looked up at him. "Kate!" Landon said, anger in his voice. He got out of the monsters grasp that was desperately trying to get out. He then started walking up to you. "Kate Lockwood." He said sternly.

You were happy and shocked he remembered you but you figured it was the spell Josie did. "Here, come here. Get behind me." You ordered as you went to grab his hand.

Landon looked you up and down. " 'Get behind-' Is that really all you have to say right now?" Landon questioned you.

You rolled your eyes at his childish behaviour. "Can we not do this right now?!" You yelled at your brother.

Landon looked between your eyes, anger in his but more anger in yours. "We wouldn't even be having this conversation if you could have your way." Landon responded. The monster broke free and started walking towards you two.

You let out a groan as you grabbed Landons waist and pushed him behind you with the help of your werewolf strength. "Ventus!" You chanted, making the monster fly backwards with a gust of wind to buy you more time. You turned around and face Landon. "Look, I didn't tell you because I thought that you were happy." You thought for a second. "Happier!" You corrected.

Landon looked between your eyes, confusion and anger mixing. "Without you?" He questioned.

"Happy enough to fall in love with my girlfriend! That doesn't even like you anymore!" You responded. "And also happy enough to have sex with my cousin!" You yelled at him.

Landon let out a few breathes. "Who told you that?" He questioned you.

You let out deep breathes as this was stressing you out but you were covered with anger from Landon being mad at you. "Does it matter?" You responded.

Just then the Croatoan screeched and got up, starting to walk towards you two. MG then showed up out of no where. "Good thing you guys were arguing. I could hear you from across town." MG stated, both you and Landon looking at him, secretly saying this was a bad time. MG raised the necklace, you grabbing it and turning around to face the Croatoan. "This belonged to that witch that created that thing, so maybe you-"

You cut off MG and knew exactly what to do. "Finis habentis maleficia!" You chanted as you held the necklace up, the Croatoan stopping in its tracks and started turning into goo.

It kept screeching as it didn't want to die. "You know, something like that." MG said afterwards.

Bubbling and sizzling were heard from the body of the Croatoan. You let out a sigh as you turned around and looked at Landon. "Okay." You breathed out. "Now we can talk." You stated, still a but worked up from Landon.

Landon looked you up and down, mad at you too. He didn't say anything and instead walked off, leaving you and MG alone.

You sat at the table, resting your head on your table as you thought about how Landon was so disappointed and angry at you. "Doing the whole lone wolf thing, huh?" You looked over at the familiar voice to see Rafael. He laughed, happy to see you. "I get it, trust me." Rafael stated.

You didn't know how to feel as your ere scared he was mad too. "Then take a seat." You responded.

Rafael shook his head, making you confused. "I can't." He replied, earning a confused gaze from you. "Um, when I was, uh, stuck as a wolf, you know, Landon and Hope did everything they could to bring me back. I mean, they've always looked out for me. I-I gotta return the favor." He stated, meaning Hope and you caught on to that.

You stayed quiet. "How?" You questioned softly.

Rafael looked down, breaking eye contact. "By, um, owning up to the fact that had gotten feelings for you." You didn't know how to feel as you only saw him as a brother. "And now that I-I-I remember you and you as my sibling it's weird." Rafael exhaled and then inhaled. "So... we can't be around each other anymore for the sake of Hope." Rafael stated.

You were confused but understood him. Though the feeling of loosing him and never going to speak to him definitely sunk in. Tears welled into your eyes, you didn't break eye contact and you were surprised. "I'm sorry." Rafael softly said before walking off.

Now the feeling of Landon being mad at you and never going to talk to Rafael again had broken your heart. You rested your head back into your hand, tears falling from your eyes and down your cheeks.

You held back a sob as you covered your mouth, also wiping your tears that fell. You closed your eyes as you wanted to stop the tears but couldn't. You took in some breathes and calmed yourself down. You watched as everyone was happy and with their family while you were there alone, with no family. "Kate?" You heard someone call out.

You looked behind yourself to see Elena and Damon. Ric had told you a lot about them and when he was telling you, you felt as if you had known them for a long time. "Elena? Damon?" You voice broke.

Limiting yourself up, you immediately went straight to them, both of them coming towards you. The three of you going into a hug, a hug you never wanted to leave. You three just stayed there, hugging as you cried, sad about Landon and Rafael but also tears of joy because you felt whole, like they were your parents comforting you, only they weren't your parents.
