RECAP

You moved to sit on the floor so all your hands could connect hands. All of you started chanting so you could do this locator spell.

Josie, Hope and you all ran to where the locator spell took you. As you approached the spot you saw Landon lying on the floor. "Landon!" You called but got no response.

Josie bent down to check on Landon but you all looked over at Lizzie who was tying herself up to a tree. "Lizzie, are you okay?" She questioned her sister.

Lizzie looked at her sister. You and Hope walked forward. "No. I am super crazy." She replied, a forced laugh. "But at least there's a reason this time." Her eyes glowed red. "The demon's in me." She concluded.

————

You let out a breathe. "Okay. Uh, Hope?" You questioned and Hope nodded, walking with you to Lizzie, you on her right which is your left, Hope on the other side.

You were making sure the chains were tight so Lizzie didn't escape but just then she looked over at you and growled, causing you to jump at the sudden noise. "Oh, sorry, that is embarrassing." Lizzie apologised. "We haven't met yet, have we?" You shook your head, lying. Lizzie raised her hand, expecting you to shake it. "I'm Lizzie." She said.

After calming down from your mini heart attack, Josie walked over from Landons body. "I don't understand. If the Oni is in you, then how are you talking?" Josie inquired as she stood in front of her sister. You and Hope standing next to Josie.

Lizzie lowered her hand and stared at her sister, scared. "I don't know, but I-I can feel it in my head, trying to take over. I don't know how much longer I-" She then shut up suddenly and looked up at you all. "Never mind. It's gone. You can untie me." Lizzie replied, smiling, although it wasn't Lizzie. "I didn't say that. It did, okay? Still in me, so don't-" She stopped again, the Oni taking over.

"Listen to me. I'm fine. We should probably get out of here before we-" Just then the real Lizzie came back. She let out a small laugh. "Okay. You have got to stop me. Please. Otherwise, this thing is gonna win." Lizzie replied, looking down.

Josie looked back at you and Hope. "She's fighting the demon somehow, like Kurutta did." You stated as you stared past Josie to Lizzie.

When Lizzie heard that she seemed as if you were calling her names. "I already know I'm crazy, okay? You don't have to rub it in." She pleaded.

Tears flooded into Josies eyes. "Kurutta was not crazy and neither are you." Josie stated.

Lizzie looked at her sister, tears in her eyes. "Where's dad? I just want dad." Lizzie pleaded.

Hope decided to cut in. "Kurutta fought the Oni for years, okay? If you can just give us a little bit of time, then we can-" Hope tried her best but didn't get to finish.

Lizzie let out a cry. "No. I can't live like this anymore. Sebastian isn't real." Lizzie replied. Who the hell is Sebastian? "This whole time, I thought I was better, but I have just been seeing things, and hearing things and feeling things that no one else does. And it's scary. Scarier than any demon in my head. Although that sucks, too." Lizzie rambled.

You let out a shaky breathe. "Lizzie. Lizzie, it's okay, okay? We're gonna fix you." Josie cried out.

Lizzie looked between her sisters eyes. "No. There's no fixing me, Jo. I am just shattered." She replied, holding in a sob. "The pieces are too small to put back together. Tell dad that I love him. But you have to end this." She told her sister.

Josie was confused as she heard her twin say that. "What?" She questioned.

Lizzie looked at the sword. 'With that sword." She stated.

You looked down at the sword before back to Lizzie. "Whoa. I know that we just met, but there's no way that we are gonna let that happen." You semi-lied, the false bit was the meeting part but there was no way you guys would let anything happen to her.

Lizzie looked over at you but just then the Oni took over. "You have no choice. This will not stop until you give me the boy." The Oni stated.

Lizzie was still trying to fight it. "Lizzie? Lizzie, you got to fight this thing." Josie pleaded.

The Oni stopped Lizzie from fighting. "Fighting is useless. Malivore still lives, and his control over us is stronger than ever. Soon, the likes of me will be the least of your concerns." Lizzie then came back into control but who knows for how long.

"Distracted during a monologue. Classic villain mistake." Lizzie joked, Josie letting out a sob. "Jo, you got to do this. For me. Okay? It's only a matter of time before you kick my ass in the Merge, anyway. And this is better than the Merge, because this way you won't have to live with some messed-up part of me in your brain forever, driving you as crazy I am." Lizzie kept rambling.

You moved from next to Hope to checking on Landon. You watched as Josie turned around, not wanting to face her sister until turning back. "We weren't gonna talk about that until we had real solutions." Josie replied.

Tears escaped Lizzies eyes. "Well, maybe this is it." She responded, groaning and yelling in pain as the Oni tried taking over. "Josie, it's coming back. Please. You got to do it." Lizzie let out a few sobs, it looked as if she was in pain. "If Josie won't do this, then you or Mystery Girl have to." She continued.

Hope looked down at you while you looked up at her. Both of you stayed where you were while Josie moved to the sword, grabbing it but groaning in pain. "There's so much black magic in it, it hurts to hold." Josie stated as she held the samurai sword.

Lizzie scrunched up her face before looking at Josie. "Probably won't feel much better getting stabbed by it." She replied sarcastically.

Josie looked from her sister to the sword. "I can pull the magic out of this, I may be able to get the Oni out of you." Josie suggested, thinking this was the better option.

She then started siphoning, black veins running up her neck as the magic consumed her. You all watched in anticipation but just then, Josie dropped the samurai sword and screamed, releasing the black magic onto Lizzie.

Josie then stopped screaming but the black magic still coming out of her hand. The Oni became visible and started getting sucked out of Lizzie and then was put back into Malivore.

Lizzie looked relieved as she let out breathes, finally able to be in control of her mind. "You did it." She breathed out to her sister, smiling. "I love you." She said afterwards.

Josie was out of breathe. "You better." She replied before both of the twins passed out at the same time. You and Hope just standing next to each other as you watched them pass out.

"Leave the twins and take Landon somewhere instead?" You questioned Hope.

Hope nodded in agreement. "Yeah." She replied, moving to Landon.

After taking a walk to the middle of the woods, you and Hope were know watching as Landon emerged from the phoenix cocoon. "Hey." You said as you sat down in front of him.

Landon didn't say anything and instead just stared at you. "It was you." Was all he said, directed to you. You looked at Hope, confused.

You nodded slowly as you weren't sure what he meant. "Uh, yeah, that moved you here? Yeah. We didn't really want you bursting into flames in the middle of town square." You replied.

You went to reach to get some ash out of his hair but he grabbed your wrist and pulled it down. "That's not what I'm talking about." He replied. You and Hope were both as confused as each other. "Why do I see you every time I die?" He questioned you.

You pulled your wrist away as you stared at him confused. "That's not creepy at all." Hope mumbled but you heard it, unsure whether Landon did.

Deciding not to answer, you started getting up. "You should get back to Josie." Was all you said. Hope went to your side and you both started walking away from him and to find Alaric.

After a while of searching, you found him burying the body of Kurutta. "I should have been there tonight." Alaric said after placing Kuruttas mas on his sword, looking at you and Hope. "With you two and the girls. I got distracted from what matters most." Alaric continued. "Thank you." He thanked you both. "I don't know what would have happened to Lizzie or Josie if you two hadn't have been there." He explained.

You and Hope smiled softly. "They're stronger than you think." Hope replied. "They didn't need our help." She continued.

Alaric nodded. "Maybe. And what about Landon?" He questioned.

Hope looked behind her to look at you. "For the last time, I'm not going back." You responded. Hope seemed a bit hurt by that and you sent her a sorry look.

"Kate." Alaric sternly said. "You told me that you and Landon shared a strong brother and sister bond like any related sibling, even though you aren't related." He explained. You let out a breathe. "So what's really holding you back?" He questioned.

You looked up at Alaric, unsure of how to answer. "I mean, what if I tell him everything, and he doesn't want to believe we had that bond?" You questioned him.

Alaric stayed quiet. "I don't know." He responded. You licked your lips, crossing your arms over your chest. "But are you really gonna live the rest of your life without finding out?" He questioned.

You tilted your head slightly, not saying anything. "What we found was the portal to Malivore. And what I'm gonna do is finish what I started at the pit." You responded, Hope looking at you with disbelief at the fact you wanted to go back into the bit. "But this time, I'm gonna get it right." You finished.

Alaric and Hope looked at each other, knowing you were meaning to become the full tribrid. "I'll give you two some space." Alaric stated while he walked off.

Hope nodded and looked back at you. "You can't be serious." Was all Hope said, you not saying anything. "I just got you back and now you want to disappear, again!" Hope argued, tears already in her eyes.

Looking at her upset state you decided to speak up. "If it's to protect you and everyone at the school then I'll do it!" You argued back.

Tears started falling down Hopes cheeks. "No. I won't let you do it." Hope shook her head. "We'll find another way, there has to be another way." Hope stated, clearly upset.

Knowing you weren't going to win this conversation because Hope is so stubborn, you brought her in a for a hug. "Okay." You whispered, Hope hugging you back. "We'll find another way." You continued.

The both of you just stood there in a hug, neither of you wanting to make a move.

Lizzie was fast asleep as a dream then approached her. She then saw you and after a few pictures she gasped awake, realising it was a memory. "Kate. Olivia. Lockwood." Lizzie said as she remembered you, surprised.
