RECAP
You looked up and glared at him as you watched him exit the locker room. You rolled your eyes and went to leave when the guy you bumped into before talked to you. "So, you going out for kicker or are you just stalking me?" He questioned, turning around to look at you.
You looked him up and down, chuckling. "Stalking you? I think it's pretty clear who's stalking who here." You stated with a slight smile. "Besides, if I went out it'd be for QB-one." You raised your eyebrows as you said that. All the boys were 'oohing' at your comment which made you smirk.

Hope sat in class, on the table to the left of Landon and next to Jed. She wasn't really paying attention as she was focused on the grimoires, finding a spell to get you back, but as Professor Vardemus spoke up, she looked up. "How does the existence of dragons and dryads and phoenixes change what we know about magical biology?" He questioned. "It could be the discovery of a lifetime." He stated.
She overheard Josie talking to Landon. "He is such a pompous ass." She stated and Landon chuckled.
Jed also heard and cut in. "At least he hasn't tried to kill us all yet." He stated.
Hope looked over at Jed. "Her dad wasn't trying to kill anyone. He was-" Hope stopped herself from going any further before looking down. "Never mind." Hope didn't see this but Josie was thankful for her standing up for her dad.
"...as to the magical origins of these species." Vardemus finished speaking.
Hope went back to her research as she found a spell that might bring you back but just needed to check it was safe. Suddenly there was gasping heard from a student as she left the room holding her nose, it was bleeding.

You were at your locker that head nothing in it but stuff to make potions. You poured stuff into another glass that was blue, shaking it around as it started making fog fall out of the top. You put the lip on the blue one and shook it more.
Walking around the school with the potion in hand, you followed the blood down halls and to the basement. You heard roaring and grunting, knowing Alaric angered the monster, you stood behind the wall and rolled the potion out towards it. "Sol." You said, making it explode and blind the monster.
Alaric grabbed an arrow from the ground. "Kate!" He said, throwing it up to you. You held out your hand, catching it with your magic before throwing the arrow in the monsters chest, hitting it's heart.
It fell to the ground while Alaric got off the ground. You walked forward and examined the body. "Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and agree with your troll theory." Alaric stated.
You looked over your shoulder to look at him. "Yeah, well, it's nocturnal, so I figured I'd just make some artificial sunlight." You explained, looking back at the monster. You felt his eyes on you. "Just say what you want to say." You said, knowing what he wanted to ask.
"You didn't... you didn't say you were also a witch." He said, knowing that was coming.
You turned your whole body around. "Look, I'm just here to kill this monster. Okay? Then I'll be on my way before this gets any more complicated." You said, looking between his eyes.
Your eyes trailed to someone behind Ric. It was Maya. "Um," She started, Ric turning around. "what is that?" She questioned, looking at the Troll. You and Ric turned to the troll before back to Maya.
Ric called MG down to wipe Mayas mind, so you all now stood in his office, you leaned on his desk. "The sound was just a busted water pipe. And then Dr. Saltzman-" MG started compelling Maya.
"Principal Saltzman." Ric corrected.
MG glanced at Alaric before back to Maya. "My bad. Principal Saltzman turned the water off and took care of everything." He finished compelling.
Maya looked down. "Wow. Crazy first day, huh?" Maya joked.
"Great. You can head back to class now." Alaric stated and Maya turned around, walking out.
MG looked at Ric before turning around to compel you. "Ah. Don't even think about it." You said, starring at MG.
He was a little startled but looking over at Ric who gave him the okay and that they can trust you. "Uh, uh, hey, if he trusts you, so do I. Uh, by the way, I don't usually do this. I'm not trying take anyone's agency or anything, you know?" You smiled at home before looking down. "So, I got to jet. Uh, I got a study date with some, uh." MG trailed off as he looked at Ric. "Uh, someone. It could-it could be anybody, really." He sounded like he was lying.
Ric smiled at MG. "Well, thanks for getting here so quickly. I appreciate it." He thanked MG.
MG smiled. "Anytime. You're- You'll always be my headmaster." MG said.
Alarics smile grew more as he was happy to hear that. MG then left the room, shutting the door. You got off the desk and walked towards Alaric. "So, uh, why aren't you headmaster of that other school anymore?" You questioned, confused why he left The Salvatore School.
He looked away from your eye sight. "It's a long story." He chuckled.
"Oh. Okay." You responded, fiddling with your hands. "Uh, I'll be back once school lets out so we can clean up what's probably a dead troll." You said, looking down at your feet before looking back up and crossing your arms.
Alaric stayed quiet for a while. "You're really not fazed by any of this, are you?" He questioned.
You tensed a bit. "I-I mean, I-I just think that the story that you told me, about the monsters and the scary black pit, just makes a lot of sense, I guess. Um, look, I'm really glad to hear that it stopped. I'm sorry that it's happening again." You apologised truthfully, knowing the monsters are probably back because you escaped Malivore.
Alaric made a 'don't be sorry' face. "It's not your fault." You looked down at the floor. "Now that I know your cover story is a lie, I-I'm assuming Tom and Kathleen aren't real." When Alaric said that, you nodded in response. "Okay. The school I used to work at, you'd be welcome there." He chuckled again.
You nodded, smiling, but knowing Hope is there and probably happy with Landon, your smile faded. "Oh, um, yeah, that sounds amazing. But I'm just passing through." You stated.
Ric nodded to your comment, you started walking past him when he spoke up. "Hey, look, I, uh, I don't really have access to that school's resources anymore, and I'm trying to give my daughters some space. But if these monster attacks are starting up again, I could use the backup." On the inside you were full of joy that he wanted your help but on the outside, you knew it wasn't gonna be possible. "You know, I don't really have anyone else."
You let out a sigh. "I work better alone." You said, walking to the door, opening it then closing it. You heard him mumble and 'okay' as you left.

You and Alaric were now walking down the stairs to go to the troll when Alaric decided to speak up. "There's, uh, something I want to ask. You know, when we were fighting, how'd I know to throw that bolt to you?" he questioned, you stayed quiet. "It was like muscle memory." He turned around to look at you. "We've fought together before, haven't we?" He asked.
You faked being confused. "What? That seems totally impossible." You replied.
"Yeah, except I live in a world where a creature named Malivore can erase people from your memory." You fake smile dropped and your act of being confused was gone. He knew. "I'll take that as a yes." He stated. He still hasn't put the dots together about what Hope said and you being in front of him.
You scoffed. "Even if I told you, it wouldn't change anything." You stated, crossing your arms over your chest. "Okay? It wouldn't bring your memories back. It would just be words. Leaving will be easier if you don't know." You explained.
Alaric kept a straight face. "Well, then don't leave." He said as if it was that simple.
Staying quiet for a little, you thought of what to say. "You told me that the monster attacks had stopped, and then right when I show up, things start happening again?" It was obvious you made a point since Alaric stayed quiet, what you didn't know what that he was now putting the dots together with what Hope said. "I'm pretty sure I'm the reason. So I can't stay and put all of you in danger." You said, agitated.
You walked past him to go to the troll but as you look around the corner you see no troll. "Um..." You trailed off as you looked down at the blood and the arrow.
Alaric came up to see and stared at the blood and arrow as well. "Okay..." He also trailed off. "So, not a troll." You looked up at him before starring back at the blood.
You both followed the blood trail that leads outside and to where the garbage bags are next to the Mystic Grill. "Okay, so if it's not a troll, then what else could it be?" You questioned.
Alaric didn't look back at you. "I don't know." He responded. "But it's here. Somewhere." You both came to a stop on some stairs. "Question is, why?" He now asked you.
He looked I over at you while you shrugged. "I'm not sure. I mean, the pattern is that I wound it, and then it runs and hides from me." You explained, crossing your arms over your chest. "So it must be sticking to the shadows, waiting for it to get dark." You stated.
Alaric then looked over the stairs to see if he could find it. "Well, when the monsters came last time, they were always after something." He paused. "See if we can figure out what it's looking for." He then started to continued walking up the stairs and into the main area of Mystic Falls.
You looked down, making sure you don't miss a step as you follow him. "Okay." You softly said but you stopped when you looked up and saw Hope walking across the street.
You let out a heavy sigh as you quickly went up to Alaric to not be seen by her. "You okay? You sudden;y seem down." Alaric said.
You quickly looked up at him. "Yeah, I am." You trailed off. "I just saw Hope and if shes happy without me I don't want her to see me." You explained while Ric nodded, keeping quiet about how Hope has spent three months searching for you.
"Come on, let's go to Mystic Grill while we wait for dark to fall." Alaric said as you both turned into the restaurant. "I'll be at the bar if you need anything." Alaric then walked off. You leaned on the railing but that's when you felt a hand tap your shoulder.
You turned around. "Hey, you probably don't know me." You looked up at the older man, shaking your head. "I'm Damon Salvatore," As soon as he said that, your face went to one of shocked. "and I have some questions about who this girl is in this photo with a mate of mine that died around seventeen years ago." He said.
You grabbed the photo and starred down at it, it was you and your dad. You held back the anger and sadness, even the tears as you looked back up and gave the photo back. "I-I'm sorry, I don't know who he is." You lied.
Damon smiled. "That's okay, I was just gonna say, you look very similar to him so that's why I thought I'd ask." He explained.
You nodded as you didn't know what else to say. As he walked off you let out a heavy breathe. He was the one that killed your dad but Emma said he didn't have humanity so you had to forgive him, right? Even if he doesn't remember you.
You rubbed your cheek as a tear feel, that's when you felt a hand on your shoulder. You turned around to be met with Damon. Oh great, just great timing. "You know something about who is in this photo." Damon said.
You let out a shaky breathe. "Why should I talk you?" You argued with him.
He looked confused. "Because this man had a daughter, and I had this photo framed in my house but for three months now, I couldn't remember what her name was and who he was holding." He responded.
You looked down as you knew you were in a pickle and were gonna have to tell him. "Fine. I know who you are and what you used to be. I know who that man and the girl." He motioned for you to continue, confused by what you meant about him. "I know your Stefan Salvatores brother, you use to be a vampire but now you're human." You stated. You crossed your arms. "And that man is Tyler Lockwood and that girl is me." You finished explaining. "Happy?" You asked with tears in your eyes.
Damon stood there shocked. "How come I don't remember you?" He questioned.
You glared at him. "That's all you care about?" You asked with a scoff. "You don't care about the fact you killed my father?" You questioned, a single tear escaping your eyes.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't in control of myself I had my-" He didn't get to finish.
You cut him off. "You had your humanity off. I know." You were calmer now. Damon nodded although you didn't see that as you were looking down. "The reason you don't remember me is because I jumped into a pit that is called Malivore and he erases you from existence basically." You explained, Damon confused.
You sighed. "Before three months ago, I existed, I had people who cared and loved me, during the three months of being in endless torture, I had no contact with the real world, after the three months and after returning, no one remembered me." You wiped your cheeks, keeping the secret you were a Tribrid and how Hope knew you existed. "That's why you don't remember me." You explained.
Damon kept quiet for a couple seconds. "You gave up everything to defeat something that was going to kill your friends. You did what you think was right." Damon responded, chuckling softly. "That's what your dad did." You looked up at him, smiling the tiniest bit. You wiped your tears away. "I should probably get back home before Elena wonders where I ran off too." Damon said.
You nodded, putting your hands in your pockets. "Good meeting you, Damon." You said.
Damon walked backwards towards the door. "You too, Kate." He responded and walked out the door.
You then walked over to Ric and sat on the stool next to him. "Any idea on how to kill this monster?" You asked, starring up at Ric.
"No clue." Ric responded, looking between your eyes.
