RECAP
You shook your head. "I'm sorry. But do you understand why I can't take that risk?" You questioned.
Clark nodded, knowing you wouldn't accept the deal even if he was lying. "Yeah. I would do the same thing if I were you." Clark stated and you chuckled as he looked away embarrassed. "God." He groaned.
Your chuckling stopped. "Good luck, Clarke." You yelled.
"Screw you, Kate!" He replied and you just glared at him as you got sucked into the vortex.

Landon soon arrived to the school after Hope. They were both in a room as they did the locator spell. "Think of my blood like the red line crossing the map in Raiders of the Lost Ark." A shiver went down Hopes spine as she said that, she was becoming a movie nerd. "It'll flow wherever it senses Raf. And it'll show us the path." Hope explained. She cut her finger open and let the blood fall onto the page.
Landon looked up from the map and to Hope. "Thank you for this." He said.
Hope looked up, slightly smiling. "Of course. It's honestly child's play." She stated. "It's how I used to cheat at hide-and-go-seek." The wound immediately healed. Landon looked down, smiling. "And just give it a second." The blood stayed put.
"I want you to know, I wasn't trying to hurt myself. On the Fourth." Landon paused as he watched Hope look down. "I wasn't trying to, like, self-destruct or anything." He explained.
Hope shrugged. "Mm, could've fooled me." Hope grabbed a cloth as there was a little blood still on her finger.
Landon shook his head. "I don't know. Maybe it started like that, but when I go under, I see images." Hope looked up immediately. "Memories, maybe. There's something buried in my brain, and when I die, I get a glimpse of it, but... maybe it's nothing. Maybe it's the answer to everything. I don't know." Landon stated.
Hope thought for a moment, could it be you? Hope decided to speak up instead of keeping quiet. "No answer is more important than making sure that you don't accidentally over shoot your phoenix quota." Hope replied, her heart burning as she basically said that you weren't important.
A silence filled the room as you waited for the spell to work. "Are you happy?" Landon randomly asked.
Hope looked up front he map. "What do you mean?" She questioned, confused.
"I mean, since we started hanging out, I mean, until Raf went missing I think I was.. finally starting to get... happy-ish." Landon stated.
Hope slightly smiled. "I'm definitely happy-ish. I just don't know if I can be fully happy until I know who else was there at Triad with us." Hope did a white lie, basically talking about you without giving away to much information ad holding back the real truth.
Landon nodded, becoming quiet for a few seconds. "Yeah. Look, I don't want to cause problems, but I think that Alaric is lying to you about what really happened there." Landon stated.
Hope looked at him confused. "How do you know? He wasn't there." Hope stated, obviously having to act she didn't know who you were to Landon.
Landon shrugged. "I just know." Landon responded, both of them becoming quiet.

You walked to the front of the Salvatore school, only to be met with a car driving out and stopping as the person inside saw you. He got out of the car. "I didn't see you. Are you okay?" he questioned.
You looked between Dorian's eyes. "Yeah, Dorian, I'm okay." You responded, not realising you said his name.
He looked confused. "Glad to hear it but, how did you know my name?" He questioned.
You became tense before pointing to his tag. "Your parking pass." You saved yourself.
Dorian looked at the picture before back to you. "Always hated that picture." You giggled as he said that. "What bring you out here tonight?" Dorian questioned.
You didn't know what to say until you thought of something. "A girl." A cheeky smile formed on your face as you thought of Hope.
Dorian briefly nodded, pointing back at the school. "Well, we're all locked up in there. Everyone's gone for the summer." Dorian explained.
You nodded in understanding. "Okay. Thanks. Uh, sorry to bother you." You said before walking off. Once you heard the car take off, you stopped walking and turned around, jogging to the gates of the school. You put in the code and the gates opened up, allowing you to walk through.
You made your way to the Old Mill, just wanting some peace and quiet but thats when you heard music and a scream but it sounded very fake. "You started without me." Hope said as she walked to Landon and sat on the seat.
You watched as Landon sighed and handed her a map. "Your map worked." Hope took it the map.
Hope looked up from the map, confused. "He's right here. What's the problem?" Hope questioned.
"He was, but then when I came out here to find him, that appeared." Landon pointed at the map, you weren't sure what it was but you didn't want to blow your cover. "RAF's not missing. He just doesn't want to be here anymore." Landon got up from sitting down. "I knew this going in. I mean, uh, the longer he's a wolf, the less human he'll be, and at what point does a wolf no longer need a human best friend, and movie nights?" Landon questioned.
Hope stayed quiet, placing the map down. "I told you I'd help you, but I'll say it again, I need to find the materials to help him." You listened to Hopes heartbeat, she was lying but what about? "Maybe he moved on. 'cause he saw that you and I were having fun and being happy-ish." Hope stated.
Landon stared into Hopes eyes while Hope did the same. Your breathe hitched as you watched Landon cup Hopes face, breaking the distance between them with a light kiss. You turned around, tears streaming down your face as you let out a soft sob, running off to Mystic Falls town square, but you weren't around for the next bit.
Hope leaned back from Landon going in for a second one. "I'm sorry, was I going to fast?" Landon questioned as he lowered his hand from Hopes cheek.
Hope nodded, looking down so Landon didn't see the tears in her eyes. She felt as if she betrayed you. "It's okay."Hope replied.
Landon sighed. "I'm sorry again." An awkward silence filled the two. Hope then turned around and left Landon standing there.

You made your way to the bus stop, holding a bag, a prism which lets you talk to your subconscious and obviously the bus ticket. As you sat down, you placed your bag next to you, placing the bus ticket in a pocket. You placed down the prism not expecting it to work. "Hey." You heard Hopes voice say. You opened your eyes and looked over at her. "Is this seat taken?" She jokingly asked.
A big smile formed on your face as you looked between her beautiful eyes. "Hope." You said, happy.
Hope stayed quiet after a while. "Wait, how do you know my name?" Hope asked and your smile dropped, Hope glared at Landon while Landon smiled. "Sorry. There's no way I could pretend to forget Kate Lockwood, my girlfriend." Hope apologised.
You half laughed, looking at the cars passing by. "I was gonna say, you're a Tribrid, of course you remember me. And you're just saying that because you know I want to hear that." You commented.
Hope made a thinking face. "Well, actually, that's not how this works. I kind of here to tell you the things you don't want to hear, right?" Hope questioned.
You nodded your head. "Yeah." You softly said, staying quiet as you thought of what to say. "I really needed to see you." You trailed off.
Hope smiled. "Well I'm happy to be seen." Hope paused. "Well, I mean, as happy as the magical, holographic manifestation of your subconscious can be." You chuckled as she said that but it stopped shortly after. "So, what's on your mind?" Hope asked, knowing something was up.
You looked over at Hope, looking into her eyes. "I missed your eyes." You said in a truthful manner, but also to get you remind off the image of Landon and Hope kissing.
Hope chuckled. "Oh, admittedly, they're pretty dreamy." Hope joked.
You laughed softly as she said that. "So much for accuracy. Hope would never say that." You replied to Hope.
She shrugged at your comment. "Well, it's creative license. Besides, let's face it, you already know what she'd say about your current dilemma." Hope responded.
You nodded, knowing that she could also be right. "Then maybe I just want to hear about it from fake you." You whispered to Hope.
She nodded in understanding. "Fine. Then, in that case, there is no world in which I would ever want you to leave town without telling me you're back from the dead." Hope quickly summarised.
Your smiled dropped as you heard her say 'dead'. "I never died, technically." You responded.
"Then I'd want to hear about that, too." You looked away from hope as she paused. "I'd want to hear about everything, because I love you," You looked back at her. "and you love me. You leaving town is a stupid move and you know it. Especially after we agreed not to lie to each other." Hope finished.
You were agitated when she said that last bit. "Don't turn this around on me. Okay? Besides, what's happening between you and Landon?" You glared at her, but after you said that you leaned back against the seat. "Ugh." You groaned.
From the corner of your eye you saw Hope nodding. "So you're mad at me?" Hope questioned.
You shook your head. "No." You softly said, looking over at her. "I'm not mad at you. I can't be mad at you, right? It's not you fault." Tears welled in your eyes as you spoke. "You know that I exist but Landon doesn't." You breathed in and out quickly so you don't let out a small sob. You looked down, fiddling with your hands.
"But that still hurts." Hope continued.
You let in another breathe. "Of course it does." You looked up at her, your face obviously holding back a sob.
Hope nodded. "Okay. So, then think about how much it would hurt me to find out you're just down the road." She made you see it from another point of view.
You held back the tears, thankful none escaped your eyes. "Fair enough." You responded. "If you can answer this one question correctly, then I promise I'll go running back to you, and I'll-I'll tell you the whole truth." You looked her up and down.
Hope looked annoyed and suspicious. "Would you quit playing games?" She asked but it sounded like a statement. "There is no answer either of us could give that should stop you from doing that right now." Hope said, obviously done with you stalling.
"Are you happy?" You said immediately after. "Is everyone happier now?" You questioned, tears coming back to your eyes. You watched as Hope stumbled on her words. In real life she was happy but loosing it without you but even fake Hope didn't know.
You nodded as you bit your lip to hold a sob in, looking away from Hope. "Could you leave me for a minute? I don't really want to cry in front of you, even if you're fake." You stated, shutting your eyes as you heard the whooshing of her leaving. You let tears escape your eyes as a small sob escaped your lips.
After a while of calming down you saw the bus coming so you got up, but just then the bus flipped onto its side and stopped in front of you. You dropped your bag as you watched a monster appear and roar at you. "Oh crap." You said as you stared at it.
