RECAP

Lizzie held out her hand for Hope to take, which she did. Josie looked at her sister then back to Hope, grabbing Hopes other free hand. "She's right, for a change." Hope looked over at Josie. "It's hero time, Hope." Josie stated.

The guard came back, hitting the baton on the bar. "I said keep it down in there." Not even a second later, a dart gun fired and the guard grunted, falling to the ground.

MG appeared, holding the gun down. "Did someone say 'hero time'?" He questioned, Lizzie and Hope getting up.

————

You were walking backwards as you followed Landon, keeping and eye on Clark before turning around, sighing as he searched for the artifact. "Why are you doing this, Landon? I can easily kill him-" You didn't get to finish.

"Don't. If you do try and attack, he puts you back in that chair, sedates you then gets Malivore to consume you and I won't remember a thing about you." Landon explained, looking over at you. "I can't take that risk." In that moment you realised how Landon was scared of you ending up erased from his memory.

You nodded. "Okay." You whispered.

Landon then pulled out the cup, both of you walking to Clark. "I found it." He held it out. "So let's get out of here." Clark grabbed it.

He looked at it before purposely dropping it. As it hit the ground, it shattered. You and Landon stared at the shattered cup, before you glared at him. "Not much of a indestructible artifact, is it?" Clark questioned, returning his arm to the side of his body. "This was a test to see if you two were really on my side." Clark exposed the truth of why you and Landonw ere at the warehouse.

Landon stepped in front of you slightly. "Which we're obviously not." Landon responded.

Clark clicked his tongue. "You're a good liar, Landon, but you're not great. I knew you didn't recognize the chalice, but I figured it'd be fun to see how far you could take this." Clark explained, doing that smirk again.

Landon looked down before back up to Clark. "While we're telling the truth, I'm never helping you find the artifact, whatever the hell it is." Landon then looked over at you.

Clark didn't respond for like two seconds. "I'm guessing you already did." He bluntly said. You and Landon looked back at Clark. "When you took the knife and the urn, did you even realize what you were doing at the time, or was it unconscious?" Clark questioned. Landon looked confused. "Check your pocket. Let's find out." Landon looked at Clark a little while longer before looking down.

He moved his jacket out of the way before pulling out a knife looking thing. Landon slumped his shoulders. "Crap." Was all he said. You groaned, putting your head in your hands.

"A blood fountain?" Hope questioned MG as Mg told them why their powers weren't working. "Gross." She whispered.

MG slightly nodded. "It's even grosser in person. Trust me." MG looked between Hopes eyes. "I was looking for a way to shut it off, but I couldn't figure out how." He explained the issue.

The auburn haired girl nodded. "All right, I'll go find the secret tunnel, I guess." Hope responded.

MG lightly smiled. "Thanks. We get our magic back, we'll have the upper hand." MG stated.

Lizzie cut in. "And then I can siphon the sludge out of Josie, not that she'll appreciate it." Lizzie looked over Josie, holding her hand.

Josie slightly rolled her eyes. "Great, then I'll just be shot." Josie remarked.

Lizzie smirked. "See? The new you is so snarky." Lizzie commented.

Hope looked between the two. "Okay. I'm gonna be back as soon as I can. Please keep these two from trying to kill or die for each other." Hope looked between the three of them.

MG spoke before Hope could leave. "You need to go help Landon and Kate. We don't need you to be here." MG stated.

Hope looked between MGs eyes. "But I can't leave you guys here."

Lizzie looked back at Hope. "For the love of Frodo, go rescue your other half and her Hobbit. We'll muddle through." Lizzie replied, Hope looking down at the twins.

Josie looked from Lizzie to Hope. "She's right again. They need you."

MG cut in. "We've been watching you save the day this entire school year, Hope. We got it." Hope looked over at MG, nodding. "Now go save Kate and Landon." MG finished.

"Go." Josie said. "If you go soft on us now, I'm just gonna hurl Maligoo." Hope nodded, walking past MG who moved to sit next to Lizzie.

You leaned against one of the railing, Landon was passing while Clark was setting up chairs. Landon came to a stop as he watch Clark. "Uh, what the hell do you think you're doing?" Landon asked, anxious.

Clark stopped as well. "Well, I'm taking a load off in the chair Lincoln was killed in." Landon moved to walk to the chairs. "The guards here say they see his ghost sometimes." Clark moved to sit down.

"Are you insane?" Landon asked the very obvious question. "I just activated the last artifact, which means that a monster is no doubt barreling its claw-footed way here as we speak." Landon argued with Clark.

Clark just watched Landon, not phased. "Oh, I'm counting on it. And when it arrives, we're gonna give it this." He took the knife from Landon's hands. "That whole Triad facility will be on high alert, so either you and I fight our way through an army to toss this thing in the pit, or let the monster do it for us." He gave two options to Landon.

Landon looked at you, you shaking your head at him to not go through with it. Landon moved to sit next to Clark. "You got what you wanted. Why do you still need me and Kate?" He questioned. Why were you here?

Clark did that smirk, being quiet for a couple seconds. "I don't need you or Kate. Daddy does. You're the golden child." He aimed the rest at Landon. "The one he was trying to create, remember? The perfect son. The one who could create the new bloodline. Because of you, he'll be able to launch the species." Clark explained.

Landon looked down, sighing. "I'm seventeen. I'm not interested in, like, procreating or whatever, okay? Especially if it means I'm spawning an army of evil minions." Landon yelled at Clark, you walked over and put a hand on his shoulder, rubbing it to calm him down.

Clarks face went to one of realisation. "Oh, didn't I mention? You're just the host." Clark said.

Landon looked up at Clark slowly. "The what?" He questioned, both of you confused when Clark said that. Landon quickly got out of his seat.

"The host." Clark repeated. "Biologically speaking, you're the living organism-" Clark continued.

Landon cut him off, annoyed and on edge. "I know what a host is! I've seen Invasion of the Body Snatchers." Landon responded. Landon looked at Clark like he was joking. "Are you kidding me? Tell me you're pulling some kind of lame brotherly prank right now." Landon got in Clarks face.

Clark got up, Landon moving backwards as he did so. "You wanted to be special, right? The foster kid looking for a family, believing that you had a purpose if only you could find it." Landon and Clark didn't break eye contact. "Turns out your purpose is to be a meat suit for the most powerful monster ever to walk the earth. Well, probably sounds worse than it is." Clark explained.

In the distant there was neighing from a horse. You looked at the door of the shed to see where it was. Clark and Landon doing the same. "That must be our new friend." Clark walked forward a little. "What do you think it'll be? Centaur? Pegasus?" A whip is heard and the doors open, a horse and a headless person riding it.

The horse stopped, starring at the three of you, rearing. "Even better." Clark said. The headless person started swinging their whip around, angry. Clark throwing the knife down near it but also near you guys. "It's all yours. Just do your thing."

They then started running towards the knife. You all watched in anticipation but you took the initiative and started running towards it, Landon following your lead. You bent down grabbing it but you felt yourself being lifted up and landing on someone. "You okay?" You heard Landon asked from under you. You nodded your head as you looked at him.

This headless person with a horse probably taking you back to Malivore.

Hope walked through the tunnels to the fountain. As she turned a few corners she found herself in the same room as it. She walked around the blood fountain MG told her about, examining it to see if there was anything she could do to stop it. "I don't suppose you come with an instruction manual." Hope looked the fountain up and down.

Hope looked up as a light was then pointed into the cave. Hopes breathe hitched as she waited to see who it was. As the flashlight was lowered it revealed Alaric. Hope breathed out in relief. "I told you to wait for me." Alaric scolded the teenager.

Hope stared at the older man. "In a shocking turn of events, I ignored you." Hope commented.

Alaric walked further into the room. "Yeah, Hope, about that-" Hope turned back to the headmaster.

"Save the speech. Okay? I've paid the price." Hope looked back at the fountain, examining it.

Alaric stared at her. "I see that." He then pointed the flash down at Hopes arm. "What happened to your arm?" Alaric asked, grabbing it to see better.

Hope looked down at it. "That Triad guy shot at us with Malivore mud." Hope replied, lifting up her jacket sleeve. "He must have gotten me, too. I-I didn't even feel it." Hope continued, then she realised something, looking up at Alaric. "Because it doesn't affect me."

Alaric looked between Hopes eyes. "Wait, who else got shot?" Alaric questioned.

Hope swallowed the lump in her throat. "Dr.Saltzman, you have to trust me. Josie's gonna be just-" Hope went to explain.

The headmaster cut her off before she could finish her explanation. "Josie got shot?" He questioned, worried for his daughter.

Hope was quick to reply. "Yes, but MG and Lizzie are on it, and I think that they can fix everything. If I can just figure out a way to turn this stupid thing off, then they can get their magic back." Hope turned to the fountain, looking for a way to turn it off.

Alaric put his hands on the skulls, drawing over symbols on their foreheads. The fountain then stops. "Which is super easy, apparently." Hope looked at the older man from the fountain. "How did you know how to do that?" She questioned.

He looked over at Hope then back to the fountain. "This is a dark object, created by a group of extinct witch-like people called the Travelers. Anti-magic was kind of their thing." Alaric explained.

Hope just stared. "How did Triad even get it in here? How did they know that there were tunnels?" She questioned the older man.

Alaric was quick to speak. "Listen, I will explain everything to you later, okay? But right now, I have to get to Josie." He then walked past Hope.

Hope turned around, facing him. "Wait." Alaric looks at Hope before leaving. "Give her a vial of my blood. From the werewolf bite cures." Hope ominously said.

Alaric had a question gaze. "W-Why?" He asked the teenager, stuttering a bit.

"I'll explain later, too." Was all Hope said as she turned around and left the headmaster in the room by himself.

A.N: it's come down to two options for who goes into malivore.

If Hope does: Kate moves on the best she can and tries to forget her, gets with Landon or Ethan. ( I think this one suits season 2 best. )

If Kate does: Hope tries every way to get Kate back, ignoring and keeping away from everyone. ( not sure about this one. )
