RECAP

Alaric looked down at you and Hope before up at the man. "Oh, these kids are-"

Clark cut him off. "Kids with magic, in a town full of innocents without it." Clark kept pleading.

You groaned. "We'd be happy to help." You stated so he could shut up.

Alaric didn't so say no or anything and actually agreed. "I'm gonna need my weapons." Alaric stated.

"Of course. Gather what you need." Clark stated. "Round up your friends. My team can help you with anything else." Clark smiled then left. You and Hope moved to stand in front of Ric.

————

Alaric looked at the both of you with slight anger. "Okay, we know you don't remember our trip to Kansas clearly, but that field that we woke up in in Georgia, that's where the portal to Malivore is. It's hidden in plain sight by a company called TRIAD." Hope explained, grabbing a card and giving it to him.

"Look familiar?" You asked.

Alaric had stayed put to speak to Emma while you and Hope went for a little walk. As you were thinking you thought about the full moon tomorrow night. "Are you ready for tomorrow?" Hope asked, it's like she could see your thoughts.

You shrugged. "I guess I'm prepared but..." You trailed off, unsure of what to say.

"You don't feel like you are?" Hope continued your sentence and you nodded. "Well, you have nothing to worry about." Hope said, you looked over at her with a questioning gaze. "Besides the 'breaking your bones' part." Hope joked causing you to chuckle.

You both came to a stop. "I just happy that this is the only time I transition is the first full moon after the you killed someone." You paused, crossing your arms over yours chest. "All the other times are optional." You finished.

Hope grabbed your hands from them being crossed and held them in hers. "I'll help you, don't worry." She smiled at you and you smiled back.

————

You were now in a line, you on the right of Hope, Josie then Lizzie on the left of Hope. Alaric was in front. It was silent and you were enjoying it until Lizzie broke it. "Some people find it helps to clear their conscience before heading into battle." Lizzie stated, all of you looking over at her.

Hope breathed in. "Not stopping you." Hope replied.

"Now is not the time." Josie cut in.

Lizzie looked over at Josie. "It's always time for truth." She then looked at Hope. "Last chance, Hope. If you didn't start that fire to keep us from going, then why were you so mean to me after? I'll tell you why, because you were guilty." Lizzie accused sassily.

Alaric looked around. "Girls!" Alaric called. "Quiet back there, please."

Josie looked over at her father. "Seriously."

Hope looked over at Lizzie. "I wasn't mean to you. You were mean to me." Hope stated.

Lizzie looked away from Hope. "Because you were telling people about my episode."

Hope looked away from Lizzie as well. "Your what?" She asked.

"My episode." You all looked over at her. "The one I had when our trip got cancelled. You told everyone that I was witch bipolar." Lizzie looked over at Hope.

Hope and Lizzie came to a stop while you and Josie kept moving forward. "I would never do that." Hope responded.

"Guys, seriously, what is the point of even talking about this-" Josie tried to reason with the two girls fighting as you both looked over at them.

Lizzie glared at Hope. "Just drop the act. I had my first... occurrence, my mom took me away to get help, and you decided to use it against me." Lizzie stated, you turned around and looked at Alaric.

Your eyes travelled behind him. "Guys..." You trailed off.

"I didn't even know." Hope started. "I swear I would never do that." Hope concluded.

You turned around. "Guys." You said louder.

"What?" They both responded back to you angrily. You felt a bit hurt by Hope doing that but kept your composure.

You then turned back to the monster and everyone looked. "There's a mummy on Main Street." You said, the three girls walked into a line next to you while ALaric held his crossbow up at the monster.

Lizzie stared at it. "So, what, do we, like, rush it?" Lizzie asked, obviously scared.

Alaric kept starring at the mummy. "It's seven feet tall. We hold our ground until it's close enough to attack."

The mummy kept getting closer. "Okay, Dad, get behind us." Josie said.

"I can't do that." Alaric responded.

Lizzie glared at her dad. "Dad."

Alaric glanced back before staring back at the monster. "I have to protect you, all of you." Alaric stated.

"No offense, Dr. Saltzman, but you and your crossbow are kind of manspread in front of four powerful witches." Hope countered.

Alaric thought for a moment, looking back at you all. "Okay, good point." He then walked behind you all.

Josie sighed. "Okay, what can a mummy do to hurt us?" She questioned.

You glanced over at Josie before back to the mummy. "I think we're about to find out." You responded.

Just then the mummy came to a stop a bit far away, sucking in air before roaring a letting hornets fly out. "Hope." Josie said, you all grabbed hands, the wins siphoning.

"Bulla!" You all said, creating a force field around you guys to protect yourself. You watched as the hornets tried to get through but couldn't.

The hornets then flew away and the force field was down. "Nice teamwork." Alaric stated behind you four.

You all realise your hands. "Should we rush it now?" Lizzie asked.

Hope shook her head. "Not yet." Josie looked unsure as she looked over at Hope quickly.

Just then it started approaching again. "Now?" Lizzie asked, scared.

"No." Hope responded quickly.

"I really, really think that we should rush it." Lizzie stated.

Hope groaned. "Wait!" She yelled. "On three." She said, all of you staring at the monster. "One..." She started. "Two..." The monster lifted it's hands and pointed it towards Hope.

Hope started coughing and you all looked over at her. "What's happening?" Lizzie asked. You quickly reacted and put a hand on Hopes back as she continued to cough. 'What's happening?" Lizzie asked again. Hope started coughing up bugs and they just crawled out of her mouth. "Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my-" Just then Lizzie started coughing bug as well.

"Hope?!" You called but got no response. "Lizzie?!" You looked over at her but just then you grabbed your throat as you felt you couldn't breathe and just then you also started coughing up bugs.

You all were on the floor, coughing up bugs. You heard footsteps in front of you. "Resistus Maledi." You heard Josie call, you haven't learnt all the spells but you had no idea what that one did. "Ignalusa." Once again you heard Josie cast.

By the sounds of it you heard fire. Hope and Josie got up as you just flipped over onto your back as you caught your breathe. You looked over at Lizzie. "Worst  spring break, ever." Lizzie stated angrily.

————

You were sat in the van you took to Maple Hollows. Hope was sitting in the opening of the car door while you, Josie and Lizzie sat inside. Kaleb was sat outside ont he car and just then, Alaric approached.

"So, the mummy ain't actually dead?" Kaleb asked, you looked over and watched.

Alaric nodded. "Well, if I'm right, the mummy's curse is bound by the scarab in its chest. Once the girls siphon the scarab, the curse will be lifted and the mummy will be dead." He stated.

kaleb looked between Dr.Saltzmans eyes. "Okay, and what if you're wrong?" Kaleb asked, curious.

You decided to cut in. "With the time of being at this school, I've learnt that he's never wrong." They both looked over at you.

Lizzie looked away from you and to Alaric. "So, what now?" She questioned.

Alaric moved to the front of the car, lifting the hood. "Until we get the urn, we wait." Alaric stated. He made it seem easier said that done.

There was a moment of silence as Alaric started doing stuff to the car. "How long do we have to wait?" Lizzie whined, everyone looking over at her. "If I have to bug-hurl again, I swear to God, I will never talk to you again." Lizzie glared at Hope.

Hope looked done. "Okay, that one wasn't even remotely my fault." Hope argued.

Lizzie looked away from Hope and Hope looked away from Lizzie. "Yeah, well, the beetle slime in my tonsils says otherwise." Lizzie stated.

Josie decided to speak up. "Why can't we just give the mummy the urn?" Josie asked. "Is opening the portal to Malivore really that bad?" She wondered.

You looked over at Josie. DO any of the monsters that have been trapped in there seem 'happy' and 'balanced' to you?" You asked the twins sarcastically but at the same time genuine.

"I'm with Josie. Why don't we skip bug vomit round two and just go and get some pancakes or something?" Lizzie questioned. You looked away from Lizzie so she didn't see you scrunch up your face as you weren't much of a sweet tooth.

You all looked over at Alaric. "Think of it like this: We'll be setting the mummy free from his prison." Alaric explained.

Josie looked away. "Mmm. Poor mummy." She replied, a bit sad.

Just then people started running away and out of the zone in front of you all. Kaleb stopped leaning on the car and moved forward. "All right, look, we can keep having empathy hour or we can do what we came here to do." Kaleb spoke up.

Alaric looked around. "Here we go." He said.

Just then the mummy came out and roared. Hope, you, Josie and Lizzie got out of the van to stand next to Kaleb. The familiar voice of Clark came back. "What the hell is happening?" He questioned.

Alaric turned to look at Clark. "I don't know; he should be dead." Alaric replied.

The mummy roared again. "Well, clearly he isn't." Clark pointed.

"Yeah. I can see that." Alaric responded.

The mummy kept destroying everything in it's path, searching for the urn. "He's looking for the urn." Hope commented.

"Wh-what do we do?" Clark asked scared.

Alaric shrugged. "I don't know, give him the urn." You all looked over at the two.

Clark had taken his walkie-talkie out and spoke into it. "Hey, can someone give this thing the urn?" He asked.

The guy on the other side of the radio responded. "Can't. The urn's gone." He responded.

You and Hope glanced at each other before back to Clark. "Wh-who's been in there?" He questioned the guy.

"Only our guys." The tech guy responded.

The mummy started to get more frustrated. "Do something." Clark told Alaric.

Alaric turned towards Kaleb. "Kaleb?" He called the teenagers name.

Kaleb nodded. "Yep." He then vamp sped to the mummy. The mummy looked down at him. "Nice bling." Kaleb looked at the green stone. "Don't mind if I do." He then took it and threw it to Lizzie. "Lizzie!" He called.

You watched as Lizzie caught it. "Got it." She responded.

Hope stared wide eyed at the mummy creeping closer. "Oh crap. Hurry!" Hope yelled.

It started getting faster as it came closer. "Like, hurry hurry." You stared at Lizzie and Josie.

They started siphoning while the mummy started releasing hornets again. There was a loud buzzing and Hope chanted something but then the buzzing became quiet. As you opened your eyes you looked around to see no hornets and the mummy turning into stone. Hope breathed out heaving as if she was holding it in.

Alaric breathed out. "The curse is lifted. He's gone." Alaric looked over at Clark. "Well, Agent Clarke, we do any more work for you guys, you're gonna have to put us on the payroll. I guess we'll be, uh, on our way out of here." You all started getting in the car. "Whew." Alaric exclaimed as he shut the hood of the car. "Good night." He said to Clark before going to the drivers seat.

————

You all came to a stop on the side of the urn. Alaric parked the car, turned off the engine and sighed. "Okay..." He paused, looking over at Kaleb. "So, where is she?"

Kaleb looked over at Alaric. "You doubting my skills?" He looked out the window, a women approaching. "There." He continued. The girl gave Kaleb the urn. "Thank you. Oh, and you may want to lay low for a bit, sweetie." He smiled at her, she then walked off. Kaleb held the urn and looked at Alaric. "You're welcome." Was all he said.

Alaric chuckled. "All right, let's go home. All right." Alaric looked around the car, as you all were about to drive off, a car approached you guys. "Wait a second." Alaric whispered.

Clark walked out of the car with two other people and a guard. You were all watching now. "They have Dorian and Emma." Hope stated as you all figured out who the two people were.

Alaric stared at the mirror. "Oh..." He exhaled sharply. He held his hand out for the urn and Kaleb gave it to him. "All right, sit tight." He said before getting out of the car.

He walked over to Clark. "I'm impressed." Clark smirked. "I almost hate to take it off you." Alaric glared at the man in front of him. "My team found your... 'wife' looking for Dorian. We thought the two of them would provide some nice leverage in case things went wrong." Clark explained. "I think you know what to do to get them back." You looked over at Dorian and Emma as you saw a gun pointed towards them.

Alaric shook his head before walking forward and holding out the urn. "Let them go." Alaric said, calmly. Clark took the urn and Dorian and Emma walked towards the van your ere all in. Clark smiled before walking off.

You were now on your way back to school and finally out of Maple Hollows. You had your head rested on Hopes shoulder as you stared into oblivion, just thinking. You feel Hope moving around so you lifted your head up and watched Hope start talking. "If you really thought that I said all those things about you," Hope started, Lizzie and Hope looking at each other. "then you hating me all these years makes perfect sense. But with a father and a grandfather like mine, I'm probably not immune to those issues myself. I don't take it lightly and I would never make fun of you for it." Hope explained.

Lizzie didn't say anything for a couple of seconds. "I believe you." She responded.

"What I don't get is why anyone would accuse me of that." Hope continued. "Who did you hear it from?" Hope questioned, Lizzie looked over the seat towards Josie and Josie just looked up and you, Hope and Lizzie starring at her. Hope looked hurt while Josie looked guilty before turning away from your eyes starring at her.

————

You and Hope were walking towards Lizzie and Josies room. "Why would you drive a wedge between me and Hope? Why lie?" You both heard Lizzie ask Josie.

You and Hope stood in the doorway. "I was gonna ask the same thing." Hope cut in, letting her presence be known as well as yours.

Josie exhaled. "I didn't just lie." Josie started, looking over at Hope. "I started the fire." Josie admitted. "Lizzie had made some remark... about me being obsessed with you. I just blurted out, 'How could I be obsessed with somebody who would say such mean things about my twin?' " Josie kept admitting things.

Hope looked hurt. "But I didn't." She shook her head.

Josie glanced down before back up at Hope. "I know. I just made it up." Josie stated.

Hope had a questioning gaze. "Why?" She asked.

Josie stayed calm. "Because I didn't want Lizzie to know the truth." Josie trailed off. "I had a crush on you." Hope slightly smiled while you looked down, this was a bit awkward for you, you felt a bit jealous but mainly awkward. "And I had slipped a note into your room that morning and... I don't know, I just really immediately regretted it but I couldn't get in by then. So I did a fire spell under your door." Hope didn't look away from Josie. "I was really only aiming for the note."

Lizzie decided to cut in. "Why would it matter that I knew?" Lizzie asked, walking forward a bit as Josie looked at her.

"Because my whole life, any time I've ever liked anyone, you go for them. And you always win." Josie stated.

Hope chuckled lightly. "You had a crush on me?" She asked, smiling a little bit more.

Josie looked over at Hope. "Of course I did." She responded. "Who wouldn't?" Josie questioned, quickly glancing at you. Hope just smiled at Josie while Josie smiled back.

Hope was about to leave but you decided to speak up. "Why do you hate me, Lizzie?" You asked, looking up. Everyone in the room stared at you.

Lizzie looked back and forth between your eyes. "I don't know.." She trailed off. "I guess I was just assuming since you're dating Hope, you'd be mean to me like her but now that we've just cleared it was all a mistake, I take it back." Lizzie replied.

You smiled at Lizzie and she smiled at you. "Well, please don't ever assume again." You said before looking over at Hope and leaving the twins' room to your own.
