RECAP
Hope cupped the left side of your face with her right hand, caressing her thumb over your cheek. "You don't have to be scared. I'll be there for you." Hope whispered back. "If you're that scared I'll turn with you." Hope slightly smiled as your eyes glowed up a little.
"Really?" You asked.
Hope nodded. "Of course." Hope pulled you in for a hug which you gladly hugged her back.
"I would like that." You commented and you felt Hope smile as you said that.
ââââ
The alarm bell for the trap you and Hope set up started ringing. You, Hope, Dorian and Alaric met up just outside the main room. "Sounds like the trap worked." Hope commented. You and Hope grabbed swords, Alaric had his crossbow and Dorian also had a sword.
You were now walking in the forest, in your PJ's as you went to where the next monster was. "I know this is important, but you couldn't have put pants on first?" You questioned Alaric in an annoyed tone as you were woken up early.
Alaric glanced at you before back to where we were walking. "Little early for snark, Kate." He responded.
"Any guesses on what famous monster from filmland we get to slay today?" Dorian changed the subject so there wouldn't be an argument.
Alaric scoffed at the question. "With our luck, it'll be Cthulhu."
Then a horse sputtering was heard. "False alarm. It's justa horse." Dorian said, you all looked a a white horse, walking up to it.
"Must've gotten out of the stables and, wandered across the barrier spell." Alaric suggested that that could be a possibility. You all got as close as you could to the barrier.
"Expect we don't have a white horse." Hope added. Just then the horse turned around but had a horn on its head. You and Hope gasped as you watched it walk towards you. Dorian and Alaric raised their weapons while you and Hope moved to stand in front of them
You help up your hands. "Hey! Wait, wait. Hold your fire." You looked between the two adults.
Dorian didn't take his eyes off of the unicorn. "It's a monster, Kate. It's here to take the artifact." Dorian stated.
Hope looked between the two adults as well. "You're not seriously suggesting we kill a unicorn?!" Hope argued.
Dorian glanced to you two but then back to the unicorn. "I'm suggesting we don't give it a pass because it's cute." Dorian argued back.
You sighed. "Can't we just like... leave it alone?" You asked, cutting in, looking back at it. "It's trapped, it's not going anywhere. It's harmless." You stated annoyed at the fact they were going to kill it.
Dorian and Alaric looked at each other, un sure of what to do. "Hope and Kate are right. As long as we keep it alive, other creatures won't be coming for the urn." Alaric agreed with you two. You sighed out in relief as Alaric said that. You and Hope turned to look at it. "So we just stay alert and let it be." Alaric said.. There was a moment of silence.
Dorian nodded. "All right, well, I'll be on alert back in bed." Dorian stated, walking off. You and Hope turned around, looking at Ric.
You all took one last look at the unicorn before walking back to the comfort of your beds.

You woke up not even three hours later to the sun shining on your face. You groaned as you got out of bed and quickly putting your uniform on so you could let Hope sleep in.
You walked into the main room and sat on the couch across Rafael and Landon, groaning as you sat down. Rafael and Landon shared a look as they watched you. "Kate... what's wrong?" Landon asked, concerned.
You rubbed your eyes before looking at Raf and Lan. "I woke up at probably four am to see what the new monster was as the barrier spell was set off and I only got not even three hours of sleep after that." You rested your head in your hands.
Rafael chuckled. "Don't worry, you'll get through the day. You always do." He responded, Landon nodding in agreement. You grabbed some of the bread and ate some for your breakfast.
Just then, Hope sat down next to you, all chirpy and happy. Her hair looked different but that didn't bother you. "Morning, beautiful." You looked at Hope as she said that.
"Hey." You responded, a little creeped out but didn't say anything.
Hope looked over at Raf and Lan. "Handsomes." Hope said, looking between the two. Hope then looked down at the bread in front of us and grabbed some, picking off a piece and eating it. "Mmm. Sweet, sweet carbs." Hope added, you watched her as she said that. She then placed the bread back down.
Rafael looked from you to Hope. "Somebody's in a really good mood." Rafael said
Hope shrugged as she took her bag off of her back. "Hmm. Just woke up on the right side of the bed, I guess." Hope said, turning back to look at you, Rafael and Landon.
"For the first time ever?" You responded.
Hope giggled. "You're so funny." She bumped into your side. "I love that about you." Hope put and arm on you back but you didn't mind it.
You sighed. "How are you feeling about being back, Landon? Sorry I haven't asked." You chuckled after saying that last bit.
Landon smiled at you. "No need to be sorry. You've been busy." Landon replied. "And I feel happy to be back." He continued.
You then just started talking about random things until the Saltzman twins showed up, arms linked. "Good morning, Rafael." Lizzie said. Both the girls smiling but Lizzie only spoke to Rafael.
Rafael smiled, a little scared. "Hi. Uh, how was your-your trip?" Rafael asked.
Lizzie and Josie looked at each other. "Excellent. Thank you." Josie responded politely.
"Cool." Rafael mumbled.
Josie looked at Landon who was next to Rafael. "And welcome back, Landon." Josie continued.
You all looked at Landon. "Didn't you vote me out?" He bluntly asked. You mentally rolled your eyes as he said that.
"That's all in the past." Lizzie spoke up. "Now, is everyone as excited as I am about tonight?" Lizzie inquired.
Landon looked confused. "What's happening tonight?" He asked. Hope had told you about this show they were hosting but you totally forgot about it.
Hope laughed. "The school's annual talent show. All the factions compete." Hope explained. She then looked at Lizzie and Josie. "You know, the witch performance wouldn't be the same without you two." Hope complemented the twins. Something is definitely wrong with her.
"Thank you." Josie responded.
Hope chuckled but then a bell rang, meaning Alaric was about to speak over the P.A system. "If I could have your attention. Last night we were able to capture a monster here on the grounds. We have everything under control. But given this potential danger, it is with, a heavy heart that I must postpone the talent show." Students groans were heard throughout the school. "Hopefully, we'll be able to reschedule this... unique event... at a later date." He paused. "A much, much later date." He then finished, seemed he didn't want it to go froward.
Hope looked at you then the twins. "Kind of kill if you ask me. We told your dad that a unicorn barely counts as a monster." Hope was mentioning you and her told him. She then looked back at you, wrapping and arm around your shoulder and leaning her head against your head. Hope had gone off somewhere else not long after the twins and you went off with Rafael and Landon.
Now you, Rafael and Landon were now on your way to your classes or doing something else. The musical chime from before happened again. "Good news, friends. The talent show is going on as previously scheduled." Lizzie stated, sounding happy.
Landon placed an arm on Rafaels shoulder but then Rafael grabbed his arm and chucked it off, causing you and Landon to laugh. "So, Lizzie's acting weird." You stated.
"She's not the only one." Rafael looked at you, pointing at Hope in front of us.
You all looked at Hope while she was concentrated on a note. "Bebe." Hope turned around, looking at you. "We should do a talent." Hope stated. You were shocked, this was the first time she's called you 'bebe' or 'baby'.
"What?" You asked, looking at Rafael and Landon for help. But they just smirked at you. "Uh, you and me?" You questioned, looking back at Hope.
Hope smiled. "I never wanted to before 'cause I would have had to do it alone. But now I have you. And we make up our own faction." Rafael pushed you forward a little and Hope opened her arms, wrapping one around your torso while one is around your shoulder. "The Tribrids." Hope stated, happily.
"Yeah, all right, yeah. Team Tribrid." You stated. Hope giggled and brought you in for a long kiss. What you didn't realise was that both Landon and Rafael walked off when that happened.
ââââ
You were in the Memorial Library studying as you had a free period. You were studying on magic as you wanted to know some more about it. As you were reading you felt something on your ear. After going to wipe you, nothing was there. 'Odd.' You thought before feeling all cheery and happy.
You walked out of the library and to the Assembly Hall filled with students getting ready for the talent show. As you walked inside you walked to the stairs and found Hope hanging out with some girls. "Hey, bebe." You whispered so that only she could hear, she smiled when you said that.
You all started talking and laughing at random things. "This is so much fun. I don't know why we don't do this more often." Hope looked around the group of girls as you all laughed.
Josie then walked up to us. "Hey, do you know where they moved the stupid canes for the talent show? Lizzie was asking me to find them." Josie asked you and Hope.
Hope then stood up. "You seem very anti-cane." Hope looked at you quickly before looking at Josie.
Josie sighed. "No." Josie stammered on what to sta next. "Just anti-doing the same exact thing every year. But it's fine." Josie put on a positive face.
You cut in. "We'll keep and eye out. But, um... I think some has an eye out for you." Josie looked over at you while you motioned to Penelope looking over at us. Josie looked over to Penelope to see she was coming over.
"Oh dear god, hide me." Josie pleaded, going being Hope while Hope mumbled as she drank her drink.
Hope and Penelope smiled at each other. "Hi." Hope said, Penelope just sent a smile.
Penelope looked behind Hope to see Josie acting as if she was invisible. Hope moved out of the way while Josie looked up and fake smiled at Penelope. She then extended her hand to Josie that had a note in it. "Just make sure you read it in private." She told Josie.
Josie grabbed the note harshly. "I'm not gonna read it at all." She replied. Penelope turned around, raising her hand, causing all the witches to get up and follow her.
You got up and stood beside Hope. "Okay. What do you think it says? 'Check this box if you want to kiss me, check this box if you want to kill me'?" Hope asked, both of you smiling as she said that.
Josie looked up at us, getting up. "I don't know and I do not want to find out." Josie responded.
"If you need us to help you smite the she-devil, we got you, girl." You replied to Josie.
Josie looked us up and down. "Okay. Did Emma just slip you guys happy pills or something while we were gone?" Josie asked. You chuckled as Josie said that.
Hope shook her head. "No, just having a good day." Hope replied.
"That makes one of us." Josie looked between both of you.
You and Hope looked at each other before back to Josie. "We got to get to class but your day is gonna get so much better, Jo." Hope then pulled Josie in for a hug that Josie seemed weirded out by, why would she be weirded out? "I just know it." Hope then got out of the hug and walked over to you, interlacing your hand with hers and you two started walking off.
ââââ
You and Hope were now in chemistry class but it was basically making healing gel. Landon was your person you were going to heal so he sat next to you. "Hey." Landon said as he came over to you and sat down next to you.
You smiled up at him as you mixed the gel. "Hey." You responded.
"So, what are we doing here, exactly?" Landon asked, a little scared.
You put a hand on his shoulder. "An experiment. Trust me, you'll be fine." You reassured.
The teacher looked around the class, earning all the attention from them. "Once you have your gel mixed, make a shallow cut on your volunteer." You looked over at Landon, holding a small knife.
Landon looked back and forth between your eyes. "Landon, do you trust me?" You asked, looking back and forth between Landons eyes.
He took a while to answer. "Yes. Yes I do." You chuckled at his answer as he sounded scared. Landon laughed with you.
You grabbed his hand and made a shallow cut just like the teacher said. "Wouldn't this be better if you were with Hope?" Landon questioned, wincing as you cut his hand.
"Well, Hope would just heal after I cut her, at least you won't heal." You put the knife down. "Besides, if this doesn't, there's a spell I can do to heal you." You smiled as you dipped your finger in the gel, putting it on his hand over the cut. "Are you doing anything for the talent show?" You asked.
Landon shook her head. "No. I'm not doing it." He chuckled lightly.
"Why not?" You asked.
Landon shrugged, "Don't feel like doing it, I guess." Landon replied.
You nodded. "That's up to you. I'm not changing your mind." You smiled at him.
After a couple seconds it was healed. Landon laughed as he watched. "Wow." He said, amazed.
"Well done, Kate. You learn fast for not being here long." The teacher walked in front of you and Landon.
You smiled up at her. "Thank you, Ms. Featherwood." You replied as she walked off to Hope's table which was at the back. "Anyway, I gotta go. Me and Hope are doing a talent and we have to figure out what we're good at together." You trailed off. "See you around, Lan." You smiled, leaving Landon and walking over to Hope who stood at the door, waiting for you to finish with Landon as she finished with Rafael.
