Hold On Tight

Part 3

RECAP

Landon looked at himself before back up at you two. "In the flesh. Somehow." Landon stated.

You crossed your arms, smiling. "Okay then. Prove it." You stated.

Landon then walked forward. "In the third grade, you had a massive crush on that one dude from Ninjago. I think his name was Lloyd-" Landon started to speak but you immediately slapped a hand on his mouth to stop him from speaking, sheepishly looking back at a confused Hope as she had never heard that story before.

"Okay, it's you." You said before wrapping him in a hug. After you both let go, you slapped him in the face. "Never do that again, dumbass." You angrily said. You generally thought you lost him and it scared you.

————

"Wait, how is this happening?" Hope questioned, the three of you standing in a circle.

Landon looked at her. "I have no idea." He responded, sounding generally confused. "There is no earthly explanation for me coming back to life." Landon continued.

You then started connecting the dots on what happens. "Unless... that flash of light..." You trailed off, gaining their attention.

————

Alaric then spoke to the police officer he has a thing for. "Hope, Kate, Landon and the monsters got sent to a prison world. That flash of light we saw. That explains why they were here one minute and then gone the next. It has to be." Alaric exclaimed, thinking he was talking to someone who knows everything about the supernatural world.

"You care to translate for those of us who didn't believe monsters existed until before this morning?" She questioned the headmaster.

"It's an alternative dimension that looks exactly like our world, except without all the people." Alaric explained.

The officer then nodded. "Got it. So, heaven." She assumed.

"It's more like limbo." Alaric corrected. "If you're banished to a prison world and you die, it just brings you back to life again. The only thing I don't understand is... why are we still here?" He questioned to no one in particular.

————

You all had turned to face the necromancer who had only his head as his body aimlessly walked around, searching for his head. "I consecrated the school and this field, used black magic to tether them to Malivore to summon him." He then let out a frustrated sigh. "It was all working so perfectly."

"Well, whatever you did, thanks for the extra life." Landon retorted, arms crossed.

You and Hope looked at Landon. "Don't thank him." You both said at the same time.

"I doubt he's the one that linked those spells to the ascendant that sent us here." Hope continued her sentence as you had nothing to say.

"The tribrid's right." The Necromancer interrupted. "I should never have trusted that blasted witch." The Necromancer said with distaste at the word 'witch'.

Landon looked at the two of you, absolutely confused by who he meant. "Alyssa Chang." You both said at the same time again.

Landon was now flabbergasted. "Seriously?" He whispered, almost feeling bad for the Necromancer. "Literally no one trusts Alyssa Chang." Landon commented.

Hope then crossed her arms and looked back at the Necromancers head. "Well, that girl never met a linking spell she didn't like." She fired.

You and Hope then watched Landon walk towards the Necromancer, squatting to look at him. "Riddle me this, Yorick." He then grabbed his head to make it eye level with him as he fully stood up. "How do we get out of here?" He questioned.

You and Hope started walking to stand beside Landon. "We don't, Landon. Not unless someone in our world does a spell or finds a way to pull us out." You stated, a shiver going down your spine as you stared at the Necromancer.

"Which we can't let them do while you're still raising creatures from Malivore, not to mention Malivore himself. See the problem?" He questioned.

The Necromancer looked between all three of you. "It's our problem now. So be a dear and put me head back on me body, would you?" The Necromancer asked nicely, but now ay was it happening.

Hope then snapped her head towards the two of you. "There may be another way. If you two trust me." Hope said.

"Have you lost your mind?" The Necromancer interrupted, again. "Trust's what got me in this mess in the first place." He angrily said.

"I wasn't talking to you." Hope retorted, a smile on her face.

You then decided to speak. "We'll always trust you, Hope. I mean, do you even have to ask the question at this point?" You questioned, smiling at Hope who smiled back.

The Necromancer then let out a loud, frustrated groan, catching all of your attention. "You three are unbearable!" The Necromancer whined.

You then stared at him blankly as you harshly grabbed him out of Landons grasp. "Ow. What are you doing?" He questioned, but then he started catching on. "No. Don't you dare." You didn't care to listen and instead just booted him away from the court. He then let out a scream.

All three of you started running, but you and Landon were really following Hope.

————

You walked into the building holding the Malivore pit. "Uh, okay, are you sure this is gonna work?" Landon questioned, generally worried.

"No, I'm not." She responded.

You looked over at Hope. 'We need positivity Hope, not negativity." You breathed out, starring at the pit. All the memories of being trapped inside it with Clarke coming back.

Hope gave you a look which caused you to become quiet. "That's where the trust comes in." She reminded. "I mean, were you sure about letting Malivore use you as a vessel?" Hope retorted.

Landon didn't have a comeback. "Double no. Although, if I came back, won't the prison world resurrect Malivore, too?" Landon made a good point.

Your eyes widened as well as Hopes, having not thought of that yet. "We're not gonna be here long enough to find out." Hope stated.

You then started forming a plan, speaking as you did so. "Alright, plan time. We know Malivore's dimension can't contain me and Hope. Our blood is toxic to him, so he should technically spit us right back out and hopefully into the real world. I mean, it's happened to me and Kai before, so..." You trailed off, not sure how to finalise your made-up-on-the-spot plan.

"..third time's the charm, right?" Hope questioned, causing you to shrug. She then lifted her arm, holding out her hand. You looked down at her hand before grabbing it, doing the same to Landon.

"Hold on tight, guys." You commented.

"Oh, don't worry." Landon started, causing you to look over ta him. "We are never letting go of you again." He retorted, hinting when you had already jumped into the pit.

You glared at him before looking back a the pit, letting out a breathe. You three then stepped into the pit, still holding hands. The tar was thick, so it allowed you guys to stand in it while also being sucked into it.

All of you looked at each other as you were now chest down in tar. "See you on the other side." Hope commented before your faces were engulfed into the tar as well.

————

Hope suddenly woke up in front of the Malivore pit, but as she realised you weren't around, she desperately started looking around as she got up. "Kate?" Hope called out. "Kate?" She called again.

The brunette then walked towards where Malivore used to be but now it was just an empty hole. However, you were seated outside, enjoying the fresh night air but when you heard Hope calling, you got up at walked to the entrance of the building. "I'm here, Hope." You responded, walking into the room. "Except I don't know where Landon is." You stated, handing her a Peanut Butter Blast while you drank your chocolate one.

She drank a bit of her Blast before she said thank you. Her eyebrows knitted together as you mentioned Landon. "Wait he wasn't here when we came through?" Hope questioned you.

You shrugged. "I mean, I'm assuming because I heard ruffling around and footsteps walking away but I don't know where he went." You responded, drinking more of your shake. "I hope he remembers everything because that I really don't want to have to do that spell all over again." You groaned.

"Well, milkshake first, then whatever we can fix." Hope concluded. "Explain why you bought me and you a shake." Hope questioned.

"Okay, I woke up first after we came through the portal, but I figured you wanted rest, so I put you up on the bench and then headed to The Grill and ordered our normal." You explained, shrugging afterwards since nothing really happened. "Not exactly the anniversary date I had planned on giving, but what can we do I guess?" You questioned but at the same time, weren't expecting an answer.

Hope listened to every word but didn't believe it at the same. "So then we made it? This is our world?" Hope questioned.

You shrugged again as you weren't sure. "I didn't see anyone roaming the streets, but I don't know if that's because the town's been evacuated or we're somewhere else." You responded before thinking. "It's probably the second option." You stated, smiling a bit.

"Okay, we should probably head back and find out." Hope stated, walking around you to the exit.

You grabbed onto her arm gently and turned her around. "Okay, okay... wait, wait." She stopped walking and listened. "One dance first." You held up a single finger.

You grabbed her shake and set both of them down on the bench before standing back in front of her and smiling. Hopes smiled came through a bit as she saw how excited you were to dance. "Okay." She softly said before laughing a little bit.

As you both danced, you both looked into each others eyes, faces inches apart until Hope looked away and rested her head on your shoulder, you doing the same. "This brings back memories." Hope stated.

"Of when?" You questioned, your voice a whisper.

"Of when we cried together while swaying at Miss Mystic." Hope reminded, causing you both to laugh slightly with how she had stated it.

You then had a lightbulb moment when she said memories. "Speaking of memories, it's very unlikely that anyone remembers us. I'm thinking we could keep it that way." You stated, moving your head off her shoulder as she did as well, both of you looking into each others eyes.

"We can't." She quietly said.

You let out a soft sigh. "I know." You whispered, glancing at her lips, Hope doing the same. "It's nice to live in a fantasy for a second, right?" You questioned.

Hope glanced at your lips once again. "Our reality is better than any fantasy." She responded, her eyes never looking away from your lips.

The both of you slowly leaned in before kissing each other. The kissing however got more passionate and heated. Hope started taking off her jacket, allowing that to drop to the ground as you both didn't break the kiss.

As you were about to take of your jacket, you stopped kissing her to speak. "Before we continue,  I only have a moderate understanding of what we're about to do, so I'm probably going to be trash at it." You explained, never looking away from her lips.

Hope smiled before leaning in. "Same." She responded, before taking off her shirt, leaving her in a bra. Hope locked with your eyes before you took off your jacket and shirt, also leaving you in a bra.

The both of you maintained eye contact before you leaned in once again, cupping her face as you both smiled into each kiss you gave each other, both of your hands and her hands tracing every inch of your body and hers.

————

You and Hope now lay on the ground, a makeshift cloth underneath you too and a robe covering both your bodies, the both of you laying on each other. "You okay? I mean, was that..." Hope trailed off.

"Somehow perfect." You added, smiling slightly.

"Is that what being trapped in Malivore feels like?" Hope joked. Obviously she didn't mean it as her being a manipulative-villain person.

The both of you laugh at her joke. "Oh haha very funny." You responded before resting your head on hers. "I can happily say that being trapped was way less awesome." You continued.

Hope chuckled at your response. "You know, I never thought that I could be this... happy. So I gave up on it. All I had to do was let myself. Let myself be with you." Hope explained while you softly rubbed circles on her arm.

"Honestly same." You agreed, kissing her forehead every so slightly.

The moment was ruined when footsteps were heard entering the room. "Oh my god-" It was Landon.

You and Hope rushed to get up and grabbed your clothes that were thrown around. "I think I need someone to bleach my eyes." Landon complained as he was looking away, allowing you two to get dressed.

You and Hope quickly got dressed and once you guys were done, Landon turned back around. "Finally. I left because you guys were sleeping peacefully so-" Landon was cut off by him coughing violently before throwing up black goo all over the ground.

You and Hope jumped back in surprised before worriedly looking up, you more worried. "Hey! Landon speak to me! Are you okay?" You called out, but he was just throwing up more black goo.

"Kate." Landon breathed out, your name barely audible when he spoke. You gasp however when he grabbed the bracelet your parents gave you and ripped it off but you only were more shocked when Landon's body started becoming goo. "What's happening?" Landon questioned.

"Landon!" You yelled, tears brimming your eyes. "Landon? Landon?" You both moved closer, both of you screaming his name. "Landon! Landon! Landon!" You both screamed his name more, trying to get him to listen but it didn't work.

All Landon was now was a pile of goo on the floor, and your bracelet next to him. You quickly grabbed your bracelet before anything worse could happen to it before worriedly looking at Hope who was just as shocked as you.

A.N: sorry i haven't update! and as you can see i didn't extend the sex scene as i'm not one of those writers that writes smut (sorry to those smut lovers), and i honestly don't want to sexualise the characters or actors. and you're probably wondering "then why did you include the sex scene?" I only did it because it was something WITHIN the show, so i felt comfortable writing it, anything beyond that would make me feel uncomfortable i guess you could say but i hope you enjoyed this chapter and sorry again!
