Mates 94
Rejected Mate's Redemption (Freda and James)
Chapter 94
FREDA WHITLOCK
âHell noâ I roared recovering from my shock. âCisco isnât going anywhere. Heâs supposed to be in school and thatâs where heâll beâ. I stated in a firm tone and Kalden just shook his head in disapproval.
âCisco is at the center of it all, it is essential he is there as he was the one Safiya accused firstâ, Kaiden stated and I shook my head in disagreement.
âIâm not taking my son to that place after what happened the last time. We were insultedâ.
âYeah, and what right do you think you have to order us around when all this was your fault from the very beginning. If only your had controlled your wife properly then wouldnât have been need for all thisâ. Lyra stated in a loud tone.
âLyra itâs enoughâ I butt in when I noticed the way Kalden. clenched his jaw. I didnât want Lyra to experience Kaidenâs wrath. He was still an Alpha.
âYou guys are coming with me and you are bringing Cisco alongâ Kaiden stated firmly and I knew he wasnât going to budge unless I gave in to his demand, what a stubborn man!
âFine, but you better keep your word, Kaidenâ I warned in a stern. voice and I drew Cisto away from him.
âWe can go in my carâ he offered and I shook my head. âI have
my own car, thank youâ I took Cisco back to the car along with Lyra and headed for the pack conoll with Kaiden leading the way.
The ride in the car was silent as each of us were occupied by our own thoughts, âWould everything turn out alright? What if t was setting a trap for my own self? These thoughts buzzed through my mind.
Kaiden bladed his horn in front of us alerting us that we had arrived at the pack council. I stopped the car and came down and walked to the pack council.
As we walked along I could feel the stares of people, I could taste their disapproval of me in the air.
âBreathe in, breathe outâ Freda my wolf stated and I did as told and I felt much better.
âJust say the word and weâll transform and eat everyone who gives you the disapproving eyeâ she growled. âThatâs not necessaryâ I replied as I reined her in and laughed out earning stares from Lyra and Kaiden.
Lyra raised her eyebrow in question and I just shrugged as I muttered âwolfâ and she nodded in understanding and we continued on.
Soon we were right in front of the council of elders and I exchanged glances with Kalden. âSo what now Mr know it all?â I mocked in a low tone.
And he just shook his head and turned to the council of elders. Safiya was standing at a corner with a sullen expression on her face.
She didnât look a bit repentful at all and that convinced me that

this was all Kaldenâs idea, I knew Safiya would never willingly apologize. He better make this meeting worth it or unless I would do it myself. Enough of the all the crazy mind games.
I and Safiya stared daggers at each other, challenging each other. to look away first but Kaidenâs booming voice drew us away. from our silent war as we turned to listen to what he had to say.
âGood morning elders of the council. I have called this urgent meeting with you all to address an issue that has been going on for some timeâ. He stated as he paused and took a deep breath.
âWhat issue is that Alpha?â One of the elders asked as he
glanced from me to Safiya. âWhat issue has caused you to bring your wife and a former offender to the council Alpha?âhe asked curiously.
âYes Elder, the reason I am here today is to clarify a
misunderstanding that has been caused by the council and my unfair judgementâ.
âI hope we can recall that few weeks ago, Freda and her son were brought to the council and accused for causing an incident towards my daughter Harperâ. Kaiden stated and the elders nodded.
âYes, thatâs correct, so why is she here again, did she commit another offence?â One of the elders asked as they glanced at me warily and I was almost tempted to knock them off their seats. Old men!
âNo, in fact I have come to clarify that neither Freda nor her son Cisco were responsible for that incident. In fact Cisco had tried to save Harper from falling down the stairs but failed hence his own minor injuryâ.

âBut my wife here, Safiya, wrongly accused Freda and made her kneel down on her sonâs behalf for a crime they didnât commitâ.
âSo the reason why I have assembled us here is that my wife is willing to apologize for her wrong doings. Safiya, please step forward and apologize genuinely to Fredaâ. Kaiden stated in his. alpha tone and the room erupted in murmurs.
The elders murmured amist themselves and Kaiden growled in an intimidating Alpha way and everyone became still in a pin drop silence. âSafiyaâ he called more firmly this time when she didnât budge and she grudgingly stepped forward.
âApologizeâ he growled and Safiya c**d her chin and spoke through gritted teeth. âIâm sorry Freda for accusing you for trying to kill my daughter and building a barrier between my husband and Iâ.
âIâm sorry for trying to stop you from seducing my husbandâ. She yelled as tears rushed down her eyes.
âSafiya! Watch yourselfâKaiden growled and I just scoffed. Safiya would never change, so much for coming here for an apology.
âAlphaâ one of the elders warned in a low tone. âWe understand that your wife might have been wrong in her behavior but that shouldnât cause you to disrespect your luna in public because of this womanâ. He stated and the rest of the elders grunted in approval.
âWell thatâs because this âwoman you speak so lowly of is my mate. She was my mate in the past, and she is still my mate presently as I still feel the mate bond between us. Kaiden said in a loud booming voice that the sound of his confession echoed through the whole space
My heart **d a bit as I glanced at Kaiden but he didnât se to regret his confession as he still stood proud and tall like a true Alpha.
Safiya ** backwards in shock as she didnât expect Kaiden to declare that openly and I smirked.
âServes you right honey. The meeting had just begun!
