Chapter 21
Bitter Love [BxB]
Kai's POV
Arriving at home increases my stress level. Lukas is going to kick my dad out of the pack in front of everyone.
Lukas and I hop out of the car, and immediately Lukas heads to the pack prison. With a stoic face, he walks past lingering pack members.
Most of the pack members have gathered after hearing that my dad has been contained.
I follow Lukas, everyone looking at me curiously, wanting to know how I'm going to react to my dad getting kicked out.
We arrive at the pack prisons and walk to my dad's cell. We don't have many people down here, only feral rogues who infiltrate our land.
My dad spits at Lukas when we arrive, the guard opening the cell. The spit lands on Lukas' face, and he wipes it away slowly. Stepping up to my dad, Lukas lands a hard blow to his face.
Lukas steps back, saying, "You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that."
I ask the one question that I've had this entire time, "Why?"
My dad sends me a glare, saying, "You're an abomination. You don't deserve to be alive, you disgusting wolf. The Moon Goddess made a mistake pairing you two together."
I just nod, Lukas looking at me with a concerned expression. Tears gather in my eyes, me being hurt from my dad's opinion of who I am. Giving Lukas the okay to take him, I walk out of the cell.
Motioning first the guards to pick up my dad, they drag him to the stage in our backyard. It's a long journey to reach the strange, everyone staring and pointing at us.
We reach the stage, my dad being thrown to the ground. Lukas uses his booming voice to speak, not needing a microphone. "Mark Prince has disrespected and hurt the Luna of this pack. He has also disrespected my parents, the past Alphas, and me. Even after a warning of what would happen, he continued to harass us. That is why we are turning him rogue."
The crowd gasps, looking at my dad with hatred. Lukas continues, "His mate will have the choice whether to go with him or not. He will not be welcome back to the pack ever again."
With that, the guards lead my dad to the border, my mom following behind them. I guess she's leaving too.
Lukas and I follow as well, making sure they are off our land. Once my dad is over the boundary line, my mom takes off the ropes tying his hands together.
My dad walks away without looking back, while my mom gives me a small smile, reminding me of simpler times.
And with that, they are gone.
