Chapter 17

Kai's POV

After our kiss, Lukas and I get ready for bed. Going to brush our teeth, we stand beside each other while we look in the mirror. I gaze at Lukas, admiring his toned chest.

After brushing our teeth and using the bathroom, we both hop into bed.

Lukas automatically assumes that we are sleeping in the same bed because we kissed, and he's not wrong. I was going to ask him to sleep with me, but him doing it eases my nerves.

Trying to get comfortable, our positions are awkward at first, not used to being in the same bed. Once we both relax, we face each other, just staring.

I admire Lukas' features. His curly dark brown hair and his gorgeous hazel eyes make for a stunning combination. His high cheekbones and full lips looking kissable.

Lukas leans in, giving me a quick goodnight kiss. His warm lips grace mine, me feeling complete.

When he pulls away, I feel him wrap his arms around me, and pull me close. My head is now lying on his chest, using his body as a pillow. The muscles underneath me are hard and firm, me being able to tell that he works out. He has to work out to be Alpha.

I cuddle into his chest, enjoying the warmth he provides. He kisses the top of my dirty blonde hair, making me relax into his hold.

His affection validates me, makes me feel loved and wanted. I haven't felt that way since my parents kicked me out.

Falling asleep is easy in my mate's arms.

Waking up is just as smooth, my mate's arms not having left me all night. I slept peacefully and soundly, not having a single bad dream. I dreamt of Lukas and my future. How many kids we will have and what their names will be.

Looking at Lukas with a new light, I try to imagine a future with him. I want to have a girl first, and then a boy. I don't know if Lukas even wants kids.

Seeing Lukas' eyes open, I ask the question that's on my mind, "Do you want kids?"

Lukas' eyes widen in shock before his face turns back to a lazy expression. "Isn't that a little premature? We just met for Goddess' sake."

Ignoring his comment, I continue, "I want a girl and then a boy. If it's a girl, I want her name to be Alessia. I haven't thought of a boys name yet."

"Alessia is a pretty name... I like it," Lukas says with a smirk, humoring me.

Wondering his thoughts on the topic, I ask, "What would you like to name our children?"

"I would like to name our hypothetical children Alessia and Darren." Lukas looks at me, looking for my opinion on the boy name.

"I like Darren, it's a strong name." I see Lukas' face light up. I'm filled with joy that I made him smile.

"So it's settled. Alessia and Darren," Lukas finalizes. I nod, agreeing.

We just had our first date and we are already planning baby names.
