Parents Have Been Informed

It seemed that from the moment Qiao Yue entered Harvey, she had become the center of gossip.

She didn’t know how the rumors started, but some people said that she was the son of a mistress, that her father already had a family, so he abandoned both mother and son, and so on.

Qiao Yue wanted to laugh when she heard these rumors. Would her life experience become a cliché TV drama in the next few days?

Probably because the rumors were so outrageous, Qiao Yue didn’t even bother to care.

Qiao Yue’s classes were all in the morning today, four periods in a row.

The second period had just started. Qiao Yue was staring blankly at the field outside, thinking about what to eat for lunch when the public announcement system sounded.

“Computer Science and Technology Department, first year, class three, student Qiao Yue, please come to the Academic Affairs Office.”

Qiao Yue was startled when she heard her name. It seemed that her leisurely college life was going to be ruined.

Qiao Yue stagged out the backdoor. From the moment she stood up, she could feel everyone’s eyes on her; their gazes followed her all the way to the door. She felt that if there were no walls separating them, they would continue to watch her.

Five minutes later, there was a knock on the door of the dean’s office.

“Enter.”

Qiao Yue pushed the door open and entered. All she saw were eyes like hungry wolves seeing meat staring at her.

“You’re Qiao Yue?”

Qiao Yue followed the voice and saw a middle-aged woman with black-rimmed glasses sitting behind the desk.

“Yes.” Qiao Yue responded.

“According to feedback from the parents, Qiao Yue, you beat up your classmates on your first day of school. The parents would like you to apologize to their children.”

“Oh...” Qiao Yue dragged out the word and continued, “So, the parents have been informed.”

Qiao Yue’s expression and tone implied that the students were a bunch of primary school kids who only knew how to complain to their mothers after being beaten.

The girls were fine, but the few sturdy-looking boys’ faces turned green and red. They didn’t ask for this but Qiao Xin said that they should tell their parents after receiving such treatment. Moreover, the places where they were hit were still hurting. They went to the doctor, but the doctor couldn’t find anything wrong, so they could only tell their parents.

One of the boy’s mother didn’t care about her son’s feelings and shouted at Qiao Yue when she saw her frivolous attitude, “You damn brat, you just got into this school and you already started bullying your classmates! What did your family teach you?”

“Sister, have you forgotten? The children said that he grew up in the countryside and was brought back only recently by the Qiao family.” A middle-aged woman in her forties said.

“No wonder! You have no manners at all, you damn brat from the poor countryside.”

Qiao Yue ignored the shrew. After ridiculing the students who were beaten up, she turned to the dean and told her what happened that day. She added at the very end, “If you don’t believe me, you can check the surveillance footage that day.”

The dean shook her head. “That was a blind spot for the surveillance cameras. There’s no footage.”

Qiao Yue was stunned at first. She didn’t expect that there would be blind spots for surveillance cameras in such an elite school. But after thinking about it, since Qiao Xin brought people to find trouble with her, she must have planned it.

However, Qiao Yue’s words still reached everyone’s ears. The parent who scolded Qiao Yue for having no manners was the first to make a fuss. “Bullsh*t, why would my son hit you? Like his classmates said, they just wanted to meet you after they found out that you are Qiao Xin’s brother. Who knew that you would hit them without saying anything?”

Qiao Yue raised her brows slightly and smiled. “If it’s as your son said, that I made the first move and they retaliated, then shouldn’t the three of them hammer me? Why are they complaining now that they’ve been beaten?”

Seeing that the mothers were losing the battle, the girl who had run to find reinforcements the other day said in a weak voice,

“Oh, just because I’ve learned martial arts, I can randomly grab a few strangers, throw them to the ground, and hammer them?”

Qiao Yue looked at the few sturdy-looking boys with contempt. She had described how she had to beat them up that day, but who would believe that with her small body, she could hammer these three boys who would make up six Qiao Yue’s in terms of width?

Not only did the dean not believe it, but even some of the parents’ expressions became more guarded.

The boys were so agitated by Qiao Yue’s taunting that their faces and necks turned red. They couldn’t say anything. They also had pride, so how could they say those words?

Some girls wanted to say that it was like that the other day, but the boys glared at them and stopped them.
