SerendipityEpisode-18 Rajeev had been approaching his cabin when he saw Geeta and Aditi standing and chatting beside the door. With furrowed eyebrows and a creased forehead, he glared at them.... ‘How do people have this much free time to waste’Seeing him walking towards them, sweat broke out on Geeta and Aditi’s forehead. He stood scowling at them authoritatively with one hand in his trouser pocket...“Rajeev Sir ... umm we both ... I mean we were .... were talking about a very important problem ... I mean” Aditi started shivering out of fearInterrupting Aditi’s explanation by raising his hand signalling her to stop , he taunted , “Important topic?” ... Nodding slowly, he continued “Well, if you two are done trying to brainstorm a solution for the most important problem being faced by the world nowadays, which is world hunger, then please get on with some Supreme work” His words dripped with sarcasm...Unable to comprehend what Rajeev Sir was hinting at, Aditi ran away and Geeta hid her head behind her computer in order to escape his threatening gaze...*@*@*@*@*“Megha, what do you think? ... Is the presentation fine?” Purab and Megha discussed intently about the upcoming Supreme meeting..“Yes , it seems ok ... wait, hold on ... oh yes, look , let’s add these two points to the fifth slide..” saying this, Megha showed Purab what she had noted down in her diary...“Oh God, I hope this meeting is successful ... Megha!!! This is Supreme’s biggest takeover in the next financial year ... Supreme is investing 1500 crores... All the eyes of the industry and the media and directed towards this project .... JPM must have sent their proposal as well .... Let’s see whether Supreme chooses JPM or SWC” A hint of worry was evidently audible in Purab’s voice...“Aree ... you have put in your 100% effort and that’s what matters ... According to me, your PPT is perfect.. Today is Thursday and so, you have three more days ... If you want to make any more changes in the PPT, make them today itself ... All you have to do on Monday is go and attend the meeting .... That’s it” Megha replied confidently with one final glance at the PPT...“I am not afraid of anyone else ... but Rajeev Mehra, CFO of Supreme Group, is extremely demanding ... He is a tough nut to crack and it’s very important that we get the green signal form him ...  He takes all of the crucial decisions .... Even last year, out presentation was rejected by him .... Subodh Sinha presented it... he was also the VP and he presented it well... I was present int hat meeting ... But unfortunately, Rajeev Mehra got up and left the meeting halfway through ... Inevitably, we did not get the project.” Purab rested his hands on his head..Megha was confused on hearing Rajeev’s name in such a light...‘Is Rajeev truly this strict? Yes, it does seem like he has a serious personality ... But then, why did he mock me by suggesting Dal Panchamel that day? ... Did he really mean to mock me? ...He sounds a bit self-righteous but then again, every successful person is the same.. Perhaps he is a perfectionist but that’s just because he has to be one... Managing the entire Supreme Group is not an easy task..Plus, he is a CFO at such a young age, that too of Supreme Group..He doesn’t look that old.. He should be around Thirty-seven or Thirty-eight ... At such an age, it is an extraordinary achievement.. I have read his articles on the economy in business magazines several times ... I also remember watching his interview in Business Mantra on CNBC ... He truly is the reason behind Supreme’s phenomenal growth over the past few years..I wonder how I didn’t recognize him in the award ceremony ... How could I argue with him like that?? ... I was very angry, but I did say sorry immediately... he hasn’t even said sorry yet... who would he , though?? Mr. Arrogant CFO!!Why am I even thinking about him??'"Megha" .... "Megha where is your attention?" Purab said, hurriedly waving his hand in front of her eyes...“Nothing, the PPT is perfect ... I’m going to my cabin now ... We also have to finalize the PPT for the Sehgal meeting ... We have the meeting on Monday, but Arvind Sehgal is a calm and cool person ... I worked with him 2 years back ... Plus, we also have a final meeting ... We will come back only after signing the contract” Megha said confidently.“Good, Let’s get at least one project on Monday and then, we’ll celebrate again” Purab replied happily..“Can you please suggest anything other than a celebration or a party? I don’t think the chaat platter from that day ahs been been digested yet and you are already planning the next celebration.. You are exactly like Aarya, always thinking about food” Megha teased him, a bright smile glowing on her face...“Ofcourse, I am her best uncle , after all ...next time we will surely take her .. Then both of us will finish the entire buffet together... you eat your Dal Panchamel alone..” Purab replied jokingly..“Yes.. The Dal Panchamel ...
