Chapter 9

When we got home, it already evening. I walk directly toward my room to have a shower. When I'm done I check my mail box. A lot of messages pop up. I read them one by one until an email catch my attention. A company offering me a full time job as a junior layout designer. I didn't expect it. The offer is so tempting but have a big responsibility. Maybe this is a good chance for me but I need to think about it first. I decided to go down in the kitchen to get a glass of water while thinking.

"I thought you already sleeping?" my mom asked when we see each other in the kitchen.

"Not yet. I got thirst so decided to go down. How about you? What are you still doing here?"

"I'm just checking our stocks. I'm planning to go buy same groceries tomorrow."

"Mom, I got offer from a company. A full time job." I said while sitting in the counter.

"Oh, that's great." she said happy.

"They offering me a good position."

"Did you already accept it?"

"No. I'm still thinking."

"Why don't you try?"

"Actually, I want to, but I'm worried about you. You don't have someone here. I need to leave you alone in the house."

"Are you gonna stay there?"

"No, but I used to check on you everytime I want if I'm here with you."

"Ram, I'm not that weak. Maybe in the past Im just affected by your father's death. But now I'm fine with it. I realized that you still with me. That you still need me."

"I don't know... I'm still hesitant to accept it mom." I said honestly.

"Come on, accept it. I'll be fine here. We can still call each other everytime we missed each other right." mom said smiling.

"Mom..."

"Ram, I want the best for you."

"Thank you mom. I love you."

"I love you too son."

"Do you want me to drive you to supermarket tomorrow?"

"But Sid offered me first."

"Really?"

"Yes. He assumed you're still busy tomorrow."

"That bitch after setting me up, he's trying to avoid me now."

Mom smile."Is he handsome?"

"Who?"

"The guy named Axel?"

"Mom."

"Sid told me that this guy is decent and deadly handsome."

"Mom, don't try to believe Sid. He's just exaggerating things."

"But you're not denying it."

"He's in my past now."

"Who knows, he can be your future too." mom tease.

"Mom, stop it now. It's impossible."

Mom just smile. "Okey I won't tease you anymore but if one day you find someone to love be sure he love you back. Not just using you for his own benefits. Ram, I know it's not easy on your side to find someone seriously, but please at least find someone who makes you feel happy and contented."

"Yes, Mom. I will. Don't worry. I'll bring him first here for you to shake him off."

"Good." mom said smiling.

"Thank you for always understand me mom. What can I do without you?" I said and hug her tightly.

"I'm always here for you. I won't leave you as long as you need me Ram."

"Umm, just stay with me forever."
