Chapter 90
Secret Billionaire’s Contract Bride: Marrying My Enemy’s Lover
Chapter 90
*Adelaide*
I was so excited, I could hardly contain myself. After my little run-in with the wicked witch, I brushed off
her words and made my way to the baby
store.
She would not dampen my mood no matter how much she got under my skin. I was the one with the
man and not the upper hand.
1. I would forever have
Now, I placed my phone just behind the sugar pot on the corner of the counter and started the video. I
wanted to get all of this on film and I wanted to play it back over the years. Once that was done I made
my way to the oven and placed the little baby onesie in the oven.
pHe had just pulled into the driveway and was walking up to the house. I had been holding this secret
in for two hours and it had felt like two hours too long. I felt like I was about to burst with the news.
I sat down on the kitchen island and grabbed my mug. I was a jittery bundle of nerves but in the best
way possible. My leg was bouncing on the stool and my heart rate had skyrocketed.
âBreathe,â I said slowly to myself. âItâs going to be great.â
I heard the front door open and then his voice carried into the kitchen. âBaby?â
âIâm in here.â I fidgeted in my seat. My eyes flicked to the oven quickly before they moved to his
entering form. âHey, husband.â
âHey, wife.â He beamed at me with a small smile. âHow are you?â
He walked over to me and gave me a soft kiss on my lips. An instant surge of flutters filled my belly and
I was giddy like a little school girl.
When he pulled away I was sure that the flush on my face was evident. It was crazy to think that after
all this time he still managed to make me feel like a little schoolgirl.
âI missed you,â I said. âHow was your day?â
âIt was good. I just closed on the London deal and weâll break ground in the next 6 months.â He pulled
me to my feet and placed his hands on my hips. âDo you know what that means? We could be
spending Christmas

in Europe, my love. I can finally give you that white Christmas youâve always wanted.â
âThat sounds like heaven,â I hummed my agreement, smiling at him.
He nodded, kissing my lips gently. âJust, you, me, and a faraway cottage in the countryside. Paris
made me want to do that with you in every country. Just spending time away from it all. A place we can
just be us. No careers, no fans, no media. Just me and the woman I love so dearly.â
I might as well have been a puddle around his feet at that point. How was he even real?
He pulled away from me and walked to the fridge to pull out his favorite. can of soda. âHave you had
dinner? Do you want me to make something? Or we can order in?â
This was it.
My eyes flicked to my phone hoping that it was capturing everything. needed this moment to be
remembered for all of eternity.
âI actually baked.â
He arched an eyebrow my way. âYou? Baking?â
âYes,â I crossed my arms over my chest. âI can bake.â
I
âYou burn everything you make. Iâm surprised you didnât burn the kitchen down.â He was teasing me. It
was evident with the smile on his face. âWhat was it? Cupcakes? Biscuits?â
âShut
1. I did not burn them, they were just slightly crispy.â
âThey were black,â he said with a deadpan expression on his face. âI love you but you and the oven
donât mix unless itâs making pizza or some sort of casserole. Baking is just not your forte my love.â
âYou canât even cook so I donât know what youâre busy yapping about.â I -rolled my eyes.
He held his hands up in surrender. âOkay, fair enough. What did you make, baby? I want to taste it.â
*
âBuns,â I said, already feeling the nerves settling into my stomach. âTheyâre in there.â
I pointed to the oven. I had thought that maybe he would have caught on

almost immediately but he just nodded and walked to the oven.
âSo weâre just going to have buns for dinner? Are you sure you donât want to order out, I donât mind
making a quick pizza run.â
I shook my head. âThe buns will be just fine.â
âItâs not hot,â he looked back over his shoulder at me in confusion. âDid you forget to turn the oven on?â
âNo, theyâre in there.â
He shrugged and turned back to the oven and opened it.
I waited with bated breath as he reached inside to pull out the little onesie that I had put on a baking
tray. He looked down at it, his eyes scrutinizing it for a moment.
I hopped off my chair and pulled out three of the pregnancy tests I had peed on and walked over to him
with my hands behind my back.
Realization dawned on his face and he lifted his head to find me. I could see the shock mixed in with
confusion but beneath all of it I could also see the joy. The unimaginable happiness was so evident to
see.
âReally?â He just wanted to make sure that this was exactly when he thought it meant. âAre you are you
pregnant, love?â
â
I pulled the tests from behind my back and showed him. âYes, yes I am.â
He placed the tray down before he grabbed me in his arms and lifted me off the ground. âOh my God!
Oh my God!â
I circled my arms around his neck and let out a series of laughs that moved from my belly and to my
heart. When he had set me down again he was beaming with an ear to ear smile on his face. âWeâre
having a baby?â
I nodded at his excitement. âYeah, weâre having a baby.â
He grabbed both sides of my face and kissed me with so much vigor and passion I felt it all the way
down to my toes. âOh my God, I love you. I love you. I love you. I. Love. You.â
He dropped down to his knees and placed his hands over my flat belly. I could see awe and wonder in
his eyes. I loved seeing him like this. I was a lucky woman to have such a man
Chapter 90
âHey, baby.â He drew his head closer to my belly. âIâm your daddy and I canât wait to meet you too.â
My heart melted.
âYouâre going to have the best mom and I swear on all that I love, I will give you the life you deserve
where you will want for nothing and you will have the very best of everything.â
I fell in love with this man a little bit every day. And now, I just knew without a shadow of a doubt in my
heart that I was going to love him. even more as I saw him grow into his new role as a father.
Damonâs eyes lifted to meet mine. I could see the silent words he was trying to relay to me
telepathically. We had dreamed of this day and neither of us had expected it to be so quick but here it
was.
When he came to Paris that day it could have been the end of us. But instead, it was simply the
beginning of a new chapter for us.
We had walked through many storms and this was our rainbow at the end of it. This was our new
starting point.
At least, that was what I had hoped it would be. But life had other plans.
