CHAPTER XXXVI : Where are you?

Why the heroine became the villainess?

They headed back from the route that they have taken, but the road was already full of people. It was not easy to come back in a haste manner. Beatrice took the lead as she already became familiar with the road. It was only straight ahead from the fairies' garden.

"Rose, if it was not only of the full pack of people, we might have already there by now." She said while still continuing on the road.

"But you know, we already had an earliest time from what we had expected to be. We still had a lot of time."

"Right, Rose?"

She turned back to check for his companion who was behind her— the one who was supposed to be behind her.

Flinch.

She stopped from walking. The man was nowhere to be seen. "Rose?"

"Rose??" She turned around, but no trace of the man.

"Wait. Did I lose him? Rose! Where are you?"

Badump badump

Her heart pounded nervously. "Did I walk too fast from him?"

Rose?? Rose? She called him repetitively while looking around. "Where is he?"

She stopped looking around and took a deep breath. She thought that it was no room to panic. The road was only straight ahead.

"The road was only straight ahead so if I will continue in walking, and wait for him there. We will still able to meet. Yes. yes. That's right. I will wait for him at the end of the road. He might be waiting for me there too."

As she planned to continue to walk, she halted. "Wait. I never saw him passed through me. He was just walking behind me. He always walked behind me."

She glanced back. "What if something happened to him, that's why, he was gone?"

That thought shivered her in fear. Her body started to run back from the road which they came from, and called him around. "Rose? Rose, where are you?"

"Madam, have you seen a boy with long brown hair and black mask around?" She asked politely with obvious worries on her face. "He had this red crimsoned eyes."

"I am sorry, but I haven't seen anyone like that—"

"Ah is that so, thank you, Madam."

"But if you are talking about crimson eyes, weren't you talking about the young heir of Duke Aland? It was not a common eye—"

"No. His not the young heir. He has this long brown hair. Anyway. Thank you again."

Beatrice swiftly bid her farewell to the woman, and started to look around again. She had been asking around, to anyone, whom she could talk to.

"Hey! Are you the one looking for a boy that has long brown hair with a mask?"

"Yes! Yes, I am. Did you perhaps see him?"

"Yes. I have seen him. He went to the alley a while ago."

"To the alley?" Why in the alley? Beatrice was a little bit confused.

"Yes, yes. It seems that he was looking for someone. Actually, he did ask me if I have seen..." The eyes of the middle-aged man perused her body. "...a girl with silver hair and dark blue ocean eyes."

"A girl with silver hair and dark blue ocean eyes." "Yes. It's me! Where did you last see him?"

"I can lead you with a small tour."

"Yes. Thank you. Please lead the way."

"You go first."

"Thank you."

Smirk.

****-------****

She was lead at the back alley, a very narrow road far away from the market. It was just like then, when she first met Lily banging around by mischief kids. "Mister, were you really sure that he went this way?"

"Yes, I am sure. He went here looking for someone."

"Why would Rose went here? We did not tour in this narrowed area."

"Perhaps, his blue eyes explored in nowhere again. He really giving me a hard time looking for him." She said intentionally.

"Oh Yes. You two had the same eyes. Are you two both siblings?"

Badump badump.

You two had the same eyes?!

Beatrice halted on her way, and turned back from the man behind her. "Yes, we are siblings.

"I am a fool. Why did I forget that whatever the world it is, scumbag will always still there? I just hope nothing bad happen to Rose. I should think of a way to escape from here, but how?"

Ding!

"Mister. I am starting to get scared with the road. Can you please take on the lead? I will just follow you from behind." She naturally pleaded. Please bait on it.

"Hmm. Okay, but follow me behind."

"Yes, I will!" She pretended answering with enthusiasm.

"Alright. Follow me behind." The man repeated it.

"Yes. Thank you so much, Mister."

When the man walked in lead, Beatrice halted and stepped back, turned, and immediately run away from him. She ran as fast as she can.

"Oh my! It was good that I wore flat shoes today. I am really in big trouble. Just where are you now, Rose? I hope nothing bad happened to you." Unknowingly, her tears starting to well up from her eyes. It was mixed of worries for him, and fear of her present situation.

"Ah The way out—"

Then, a filthy big right hand covered her mouth, and the other arm wrapped around tightly her waist so he could not run away again from him. The man already caught her up.

"You! You fooled me." The man said furiously while holding her tightly.

"Hmm. Hmm." Let go of me, you, scumbag of the society.

"You're fast, but unfortunately not that fast" He smiled evilly.

Beatrice saw his face smiling wickedly. Her tears started to stream down from her eyes. It was nerve-wracking sight.

"Hmm. Hmm."

"I will have earned so much money from you. Stop struggling! hahaha"

"Hmm. Hmm." Beatrice struggling from the tight grip thought of something. She opened her mouth behind the big hand, and bite it tremendously.

"Ah!"

The man seething the pain from her bite, and, finally, she was free, but, because of the abrupt movements, she was tossed from the ground.

"You damned bitch!"
